SNIIIIISKYYYYYY!!!!!

Reigns just about killed his job buddy, Eddie Watts.
-
Guerrero vs. Reigns officially announced for No Mercy.
-
Jindrak vs. Moore = the new A-Train vs. Funaki. That's their 5th match this year, by my count.
-
I'd love to see London pull out his SSP to spite Kidman as a build to their match, though preferably during a match more than 20 people will see on TV.
-
I don't hear anything. Edit: Agh. They're still pushing Hogan and Austin as though they're actually going to be on SD!.

I loved this line from Cole, trying to plug a new segment, after Tazz is talking about JBL beating on Taker: Tazz: Talk about audacious, man. Cole: Talk about audacity? How about the $1 million Tough Enough? And the HEIDENRAPE~! poetry session was hilarious.

This actually got a little easier, if only because I know most of the episodes by now. Bracket A: Loyalty* (3.15) Sleep Tight* (3.16) Hush (4.10) Becoming, Part 1 (2.21) Bracket B: Not Fade Away* (5.22) Shells* (5.16) Becoming, Part 2 (2.22) Amends (3.10) Bracket C: Five by Five* (1.18) Innocence, Part 2 (2.14) A Hole in the World* (5.15) The Gift (5.22) Bracket D: Orpheus* (4.15) Passion (2.17) The Wish (3.09) Smile Time* (5.14)

I watched Dirty Girls, and wasn't too hot about it, so I'll just go with There's No Place.... I'll probably be falling asleep by Raw, never mind staying up 'til 2AM. I think I know and like what happens in TNPLPG anyhow. Caleb, like Doyle, is a character who seemed to be around longer than he actually was. Also, I noticed Rachel Bilson of The O.C. is one of the SITs in Xander's dream in DG. Bracket A: Once More, With Feeling (6.07) (I've got Walk Through the Fire stuck in my head after watching the episode a few times, so I can't very well vote against it.) Waiting in the Wings* (3.13) Dead End* (2.18) Spin the Bottle* (4.06) Hush (4.10) Earshot (3.18) Lullaby* (3.09) Becoming, Part 1 (2.21) Bracket B: Not Fade Away* (5.22) There’s No Place Like Plrtz Glrb* (2.22) To Shanshu in LA* (1.22) Restless (4.22) Forgiving* (3.17) Becoming, Part 2 (2.22) Amends (3.10) Origin* (5.18) Bracket C: You’re Welcome* (5.12) Five by Five* (1.18) Innocence, Part 2 (2.14) Sanctuary* (1.19) A Hole in the World* (5.15) Apocalypse Nowish* (4.07) Fool For Love (5.07) (Sucks that this and Darla met so early, since they Co-incide story-wise, and are both really great. Gotta give it to Spike, though.) The Gift (5.22) (Another strong match, from what I remember of Destiny.) Bracket D: Home* (4.22) (Another one! The Body being voted against? Yowza.) Orpheus* (4.15) I Will Remember You* (1.08) Passion (2.17) The Wish (3.09) Reprise* (2.15) This Years Girl, Part 1 (4.15) Smile Time* (5.14)

After Eddie won the belt, they showed some footage of him standing near the Gorilla position and having the plate changed. I can't tell where Hunter's standing in the picture, but that's a possible explanation.

I rented the PS2 version not long after the store opened this morning, then played it for about 5½ hours straight. My throbbing head doesn't like me now, but the rest of me is happy.
-
I don't think I'd want to spend a whack of money on a belt, unless I earned the original in the first place.
-
If it's alright, I'd like to watch Dirty Girls sometime today, then There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb on Space, before voting on their matchup. The latter should be done pretty much at the deadline, early Tuesday.

That was a pretty crazy move. Would've been cool if he'd hit it. Stamboli's hurricane story was sickly amusing too.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

I'm wondering what everyone's favourite and least-favourite Joss-written episodes are. Here's a list of every one where he's credited for writing and/or story. Buffy Welcome to the Hellmouth (1x01) The Harvest (1x02) Nightmares (1x10) Out of Mind, Out of Sight (1x11) Prophecy Girl (1x12) When She Was Bad (2x01) School Hard (2x03) Lie To Me (2x07) Ted (2x11) Innocence (2x14) Becoming, Pt. 1 (2x21) Becoming, Pt. 2 (2x22) Anne (3x01) Amends (3x10) Doppelgangland (3x16) Graduation Day, Pt. 1 (3x21) Graduation Day, Pt. 2 (3x22) The Freshman (4x01) Hush (4x10) Who Are You? (4x16) Restless (4x22) Family (5x06) The Body (5x16) The Gift (5x22) Once More, With Feeling (6x07) Lessons (7x01) Chosen (7x22) Angel City Of (1x01) I Fall to Pieces (1x04) Sanctuary (1x19) Judgment (2x01) Happy Anniversary (2x13) Waiting in the Wings (3x13) Spin the Bottle (4x06) Conviction (5x01) Smile Time (5x14) A Hole in the World (5x15) Not Fade Away (5x22) I'm sure there's no shortage of favourites for anyone. I'd go with Becoming (both), The Gift and A Hole In The World. For least favourites, I Fall To Pieces, Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight and Happy Anniversary (he only did the story for those), and unlike Rudo, I wasn't especially fond of Family. -

Just out of curiosity, the seasons that originally aired in widescreen on TV are wide on DVD, right? -

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

No Angel on Space tonight, in lieu of a Star Trek: Voyager marathon. Now I don't get to see the end of the 2nd season this week. The regular timeslot has also been moved from midnight to 1AM. -
Yup. Looking forward to the main event. They already showed the "highlights" of the Booker vs. Cena match from Sydney, which consisted of Cena going for a crossbody, it being reversed, and Booker pinning Cena while holding the jeans. Kinda... bleh.

At this past SummerSlam, Ric Flair gets knocked out by William Regal with the brass knuckles near the stage. On his way out of the arena, Triple H courteously grabs one of Ric's legs and drags him away.

I cracked out the tape with the forklift incident (October 14, 2002, FYI). Good stuff. I think I was at an SD! house show that night. Jericho & Christian celebrating their tag title win--dumping champagne on each other while Booker T is being held back by referees--is funny too. There's also the beginning of the whole "Get Well Randy (Orton)" campaign.

OAO SmackDown! Thread - September 2, 2004

I loved the main event. The first fall was one of the most entertaining segments in a long time. The DQ kind of stunk, but it fit with the actions throughout. One thing I didn't like was that Kurt kept going for the Angle Slam, even after the first attempt cost him a fall, and the second and third were reversed as well. After that, you'd figure he'd move on. The finish helped re-inforce that the Ankle Lock is kind of weak, but the Ankle Lock '03 is death. I do hope that look on Angle's face at the end wasn't a sign of a turn. And that Big Show's anger management isn't the same. He'd finally become really good at being a monster, so there's no need to take him back to comedy. And SD! needs the heels, of course. -

I really liked what they did to follow up with Kidman. It at least shows some kind of a character. Unfortunately, I got a call from a friend, so I had to just let SD! tape for a lot of the last hour. Yes, I would sadly rather watch wrestling than talk with a girl. -
I'll throw in Luanne Platter from King of the Hill and Mindy Simmons from The Simpsons and run for my nerdy life.
