Just finished the second episode. I thought it was better. Showed a little more overall plot and character depth. Probably a few too many metaphors in the dialogue.

DLC and it's future in videogames

I think most publishers and developers would be fine with telling GameStop to FOAD. -
K, so much for that. http://braid-game.com/news/?p=519#comment-4665

I might end up buying the game while my 360 is still dead. At least I have the option to do it online now. Before the online marketplace went up, if you were RROD'd and a deal came up... TS. It'd be nice to know if there's going to be a PC release that I'm able to re-sell if I so choose. Though $10-ish isn't that big a deal.

DLC and it's future in videogames

There's a lot of DLC that's bullshit. The vast majority, I'd say. The new trend of holding entire levels off the retail release is especially bullshit. (Hi, Tomb Raider: Underworld.) Worse in that case is the exclusivity. Even if your console is capable of doing DLC (DS and PS2 aren't, I'm pretty sure PSP's is limited, and I know Wii's is), you might not be getting it, because the other console's company shelled out the bucks. Hey, thanks. I bought your game, and can't finish it, even if I wanted to pay extra for it. Even for the stuff that isn't a shameless money grab, I'm not a big fan of it. Simply because of the trappings of digital purchases--DRM issues, no re-sale or refunds, locked to one platform, hard drive space, etc. Valve's model is pretty great for all parties. Develop a reputation for releasing frequent, free, and easy updates, and people will want to buy your games. (Though, again, their games are all digital purchases, so I'm not really wont to buy their stuff.) Criterion's done a pretty good job of this on the console side with Burnout Paradise, though their more recent Party Pack and cars aren't doing them a lot of favours. You're also excluding a big chunk of your audience, even if you release for every platform, and free. Not everyone does their gaming with an online system, so they can't access anything. And in the case of the 360, not everyone has a hard drive. -

If you mean the series of Game Boy Advance titles, they're basically re-releases of old Mario games. Super Mario Advance = Super Mario Bros. 2 & Mario Bros. SMA2 = Super Mario World & Mario Bros. (again, maybe?) SMA3 = Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island & Mario Bros. SMA4 = Super Mario Bros. 3 -
There's a Guitar Hero World Tour thread here if you like: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=92581 I got the GHWT PS2 band bundle last week when HMV had them for half price. The game is predictably ugly, and slow, and sloppy, and both the drums and guitar have problems. I think I'm gonna take it back if I can.

Jingus pointed out some Joss moments, but overall it felt more like a Fox show than a Joss show.

It's a 20GB Pro; all signs pointed to it being a Falcon, though I never actually opened it up to check or anything. Not even 10 months use, and not all that heavy use, to be honest. Assassin's Creed and maybe a few bouts of Rock Band aside, I wasn't using it for 6-hour sessions. bigol: Have you tried turning it on again since the RROD? I've read some people will get it once, and then it'll be fine... for a while. Mine either freezes at the logo, gets to the menu for maybe a minute, then freezes, or starts a flashin'. If it's pooched, this might be the right link: http://service.xbox.com/servicehome.aspx If not, go to Xbox.com, sign in, register your console if you haven't done so, and either request a shipping label to print out, or a coffin to be shipped to you.

Biggest "Drop the Ball" Moment in Ever
AnonymousBroccoli replied to TMC1982's topic in General Wrestling
These certainly aren't among the biggest, but I'll quickly throw them in: Goldberg not winning the Elimination Chamber match (and the title) with the crowd pretty solidly behind him at SummerSlam '03. Only to actually win the title in a match (retirement stips) where it was obvious he would win. Orton getting pretty over as a cocky heel, winning the World Title at SummerSlam '04, the Evolution turn coming the next night with no real tease or development, and Orton losing the title within a month as a pussy face. -
