  1. Saint-Laurent Braces for the Body Count For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate is still reeling from Kevin Steen's actions at the last IWS show Hardcore Heat: stealing the IWS title from out of El Generico's grasp again, viciously attacking guest referee Pierre Carl Ouellet and sending him to the hospital for sixteen hours of observations for concussion induced dementia, but most of all for bringing to the IWS the most hated man in Quebec wrestling - Franky the Mobster. For Kevin Steen there will be a reckoning, and it will be at Body Count, but how exactly El Generico plans to get revenge - that we do not yet know. But there is a great deal that we can announce: The IWS is pleased to announce a new addition to the roster, a veteran of Ring of Honour, Combat Zone Wrestling and Big Japan Wrestling: Trent Acid. The former ¡°Backseat Boy¡± will be competing against the baby oil phenom, ExcesS69. The IWS is pleased to welcome Trent Acid to the IWS family and we look forward to seeing his match against EXcesS69. For more information about Trent Acid please visit his web-site: http://www.trentacid.com Originally, ExcesS69 was scheduled to face the Triple X ¡°Sex XXXpress¡± Sexxxy Eddy. Unfortunately, this match will not happen. Returning from Delaware after participating in Combat Zone Wrestling's Tournament of Death Three and becoming a U.S. Hardcore Legend in less than a day, Eddy had this to say, "Wrestling EXcesS69 has been a dream for me, it's been a dream of Mathy's, and I know that it has been a dream of the fans. But if I am going to do that match, I want it to be a great match, and right now after the injuries that I suffered at TOD3, I can't have a great match, I can't train for a great match. I have 19 stitches all over my body, I simply can't do the cardio training that I need to do to keep up with Mathy ¨C with ExcesS69 in the ring.¡± The IWS is also proud to announce that we will be returning to Unison Bar et Billiard, 3500 Boulevard Cote Vertu in Saint-Laurent on August 21st and on September 25th. It's no secret that we have wanted to return to Unison for a show since our highly successful Praise the Violence in January. Unfortunately, a variety of bureaucratic obstacles have made that impossible until now. We are delighted to return to Saint-Laurent to present the best independent wrestling in Canada. Also scheduled for Body Count, Beef Wellington will face Tomassino, the hulking consigliere of Dan Paysan. Dan challenged Beef to fight Tomassino after being pinned by Beef after their match at Hardcore Heat. While this challenge took place in the ring at Hardcore Heat, the backstage area at Hardcore Heat saw a flurry of challenges. The New Breed, determined to end their IWS losing streak, challenged the Flying Hurricanes to a match. Meanwhile, the IWS tag team champions, le Syndicate de Lutte Internet, have challenged Extreme Revolution to a match. The SLI were furious that Nightmare Manson tried to disfigure their leader, Fred le Merveille, by threatening to staple a Quebec flag to his forehead. IWS fans may remember that Viking and Damian won the IWS tag team titles the last time that the IWS was at Unison by beating Extreme Revolution during a match where Crazy Crusher wrestled with a broken ankle. Now that Crazy Crusher's ankle is at 100% will the SLI lose their tag team titles at the site of their greatest triumph? Rumour has it that the Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale has given his tag team partner Kid Kamikaze and ultimatum, "Get me a match with the Evil Ninja - OR ELSE!" During Hardcore Heat, the Evil Ninja sliced Kurt's arm open with a samurai sword and the big man from Hemmingford wants payback in the worst way. According to Kurt, since their team name is the "Kid Kamikaze Experience" it is Kid Kamikaze's responsibility to get Kurt this match. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate and Pro Wrestling Superstars would also like to remind Canadian wrestling fans that if you missed the all IWS PPV featuring the return to wrestling of Sid Vicious, it replays this Saturday, August 14th on Viewer¡¯s Choice as part of Pro Wrestling Superstars Day where Viewer's Choice is pleased to present Pro Wrestling Superstars ALL DAY LONG. Four episodes of Pro Wrestling Superstars will play back to back to back to back, including the all IWS PPV. So if you missed Andre the Giant, Amazing Red vs A. J. Styles, the 2003 Canadian match of the year featuring Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. El Generico vs. Kevin Steen, Christian and Edge before they were stars, Lo-Ki vs. Homicide, Kevin Steen vs Beef Wellington or the return of Sid Vicious, here is your chance to see it again. And remember at the bargain price of $5.99 each, you can get ALL FOUR episodes of Pro Wrestling Superstars for less than the price of one WWE pay per view. The IWS presents Body Count, Saturday, August 21st at Unison, at Unison Bar et Billiard, 3500 Boulevard Cote Vertu, Montreal, Qu¨¦bec. Doors open at 8:00 pm, IWS Bloodstream begins at 8:30 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars. For information about the show e-mail [email protected] or visit the Internet Wresting Syndicate at their web-site: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/. For information about IWS merchandise & DVDs, our wholesale prices or our customer referral program e-mail [email protected] or order from http://xrv.com/its/. (To reach Unison on foot, go to metro Cote Vertu and take either the 121 or 177 bus and get off on the corner of Cote Vertu and Beaulac. For those coming to Montreal from outside of town, take Autoroute 13, turn off on the 40 service road to Cote Vertu and take Cote Vertu to Beaulac.) Obviously, since we will be presenting Body Count at Unison, it means that we will not be presenting the show at la SPAG. We thank the management of la SPAG for their hospitality during "V" and Hardcore Heat.

  3. Sid Vicious returns to Pay Per View Pro Wrestling Superstars is pleased to announce that beginning 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 27th on Viewer's Choice, wrestling fans across Canada will be able to watch the return of Sid Vicious to Pay Per View. Sid shattered his leg on pay per view January 2001 and most wrestling observers believed that he would never walk properly again, let alone wrestle. But Sid shocked wrestling fans around the world making an unannounced return to active wrestling, teaming with Pierre Carl Ouellet during the Internet Wrestling Syndicate's Fifth Anniversary Show. And wrestling fans can watch Sid's astonishing return for only $5.99 during the fifth episode of Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future. It's only appropriate that this fifth episode of Pro Wrestling Superstars features the Fifth Anniversary of the Internet Wrestling Syndicate. This historic show from Montreal now becomes the first time that a Canadian wrestling federation has ever had an exclusive pay per view. Through out this Pay Per View, the IWS will be presenting footage that shows how it became one of the most talked about independant wrestling federations in Canada. The pay per view begins with a contest for the IWS Tag Team Title between the champion Syndicate de Lutte Internet and the challengers New Breed. The SLI, Viking and Damian, seperatists from Montreal, are known for stiffing English tag teams. The New Breed from Quebec City, DJ Sick and Hellstorm, are a French team with a reputation as shooters. This match proved that the SLI have no problem stiffing a French team just as hard as they would an English one, and the New Breed responded in kind. Kevin Steen made his debut in the IWS against the baby oil phenom EXcesS69 and the two men have developed a bitter rivalry. Both consider themselves the best technical wrestler in Quebec. Every time the two men face each other, it is guaranteed to be the match of the night. Their match during the IWS Fifth Anniversary combined technical wrestling, high flying and the bad temper thuggery that is quickly becoming a Kevin Steen trademark. Pierre Carl Ouellet, the IWS champion, put his title on the line during the Fifth Anniversary against crowd favourite El Generico. Pierre Carl Ouellet had size, strength and experience on his side. El Generico brought speed, resiliency and the total support of the crowd. The match that resulted will be talked about by IWS fans for years. The final match on the Pay Per View is the ten team tag rumble that saw the return to active wrestling of Sid Vicious as he teamed with Pierre Carl Ouellet to face the Flying Hurricanes, Masked Assassins, the Fan Favourites, T-Unit, Los Latinos, the Mob, 2.0, le Syndicat de Lutte Internet and the Kid Kamikaze Experience. The IWS Fifth Anniversary show is presented as the fifth episode of Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future on Viewer¹s Choice and is available for the bargain price of $5.99 starting Tuesday, July 27th at 8pm. The Pay per View will also show on Tuesday, July 27th at 9:30pm and 11pm. It will repeat on Saturday, July 31st at 6:00 am, 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm, 6:00pm, 7:30pm, 9:00pm and 10:30pm. Viewer's Choice and Pro Wrestling Superstars are also pleased to announce that Saturday, August 14th will be PWS day on Viewer's Choice as four episodes of Pro Wrestling Superstars are played in sequence all day long. As part of PWS Day the IWS Fifth Anniversary will air 10:30am, 4:30pm and 10:30pm. For more information please go to http://www.viewerschoice.ca The next IWS show will be Body Count, Saturday, August 21st at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. 4. Kevin Steen Retains His Title Kevin Steen won his battle Saturday night during Hardcore Heat, but he lost his soul. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate champion fought off a determined challenge by El Generico to retain his title, but to keep his precious gold Kevin Steen was forced to recruit the help of the most hated man in Quebec wrestling - Franky the Mobster. The two men then tried to end the career of guest referee Pierre Carl Ouellet as the three hundred plus fans in attendance watched in horror. Hardcore Heat began with a "Lista Nera" match pitting the Clown Prince of Canadian Wrestling, Beef Wellington, against Dan Paysan. The high-flying Good Fella was almost too much for Beef Wellington to handle, stunning Beef and the crowd with a picture perfect somersault plancha. The crowd was even more stunned when Dan kicked out of Beef's top rope Ass Punch, but Paysan was not able to survive an E. Coli Pile Driver on a folded chair which gave Beef the win at 7:47. After the match, an irate Dan Paysan attacked Beef Wellington with the chair and announced that next month Beef would have to face his consigliere, the hulking Tomassino. IWS Ring Announcer, Brian the Guppie, conducted an in-ring interview with former IWS champion Pierre Carl Ouellet in which PCO announced that he had been suffering from concussion-like symptoms and that his doctor had recommended that he not wrestle for a while. PCO said that he had one last bit of business to take care of first: fulfilling a promise to President Seska to act as guest referee in the main event title match pitting Kevin Steen against El Generico. Just as PCO was getting ready to leave, Fred le Vicieux interrupted with his hilarious Sid Vicious impersonation. PCO warned Fred that Sid was his best friend and that Sid had come to the IWS as a personal favour to him, but Fred persisted - ranting about, "Le Big Boot, Le Choke Slam, le Power Bomb..." so PCO gave him the Big Boot, the Choke Slam and the Power Bomb and left Fred flattened in the ring. With Fred dazed, Nightmare Manson looked to have an easy win for their match, but Fred rallied to make a contest of it. In fact, Fred looked to have the match won after his "Grande Botte" and "Jambe Tombée" but Manson rallied and knocked Fred to the canvas. Manson then grabbed Fred's Quebec flag, blew his nose with it and covered Fred's face with the soiled flag. It appeared that Manson intended to make Fred's connection to the flag permanent with a staple gun, but Fred was rescued, literally in the nick of time, by Damian and Viking. Crusher quickly entered the fray and referee Bakais had no choice but to declare a no-contest after 5:36. It took three referees to seperate the brawl and convince the SLI to head to the back. Crazy Crusher stayed in the ring for his match with the Triple X "Sex XXXpress" Sexxxy Eddy, a match which many people at Hardcore Heat believe to have been the match of the night. Crazy Crusher had an early advantage thanks to the interference of his partner Nightmare Manson. Once referee J. S. Trudel ejected Nightmare Manson after 2:23, Eddy and Crusher took turns performing death-defying maneuvers in an attempt to put the other man away, including an eye-popping moment where Crusher literally ran up a wall to hit a moonsault on Eddy. Even more impressive was Crusher's second story Death Valley Driver to the apron, a move that would have ended the match right there if Crusher had not stunned himself as badly as Eddy. Crusher attempted one high risk maneuver too many, however, and Eddy was able to counter Crusher's top rope Hurricanerana into a top rope power bomb at 11:46. There has been some question whether the team of Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale, known as the Kid Kamikaze Experience, have been feuding or gelling. Based on last night's results it appears that the two men are gelling as Kid Kamikaze got the win for his team at 9:59 after a hard fought contest. As the Fan Favourites were setting up Kurt Lauderdale for the Total Elimination, Kid Kamikaze was able to ambush the Evil Ninja for a surprise roll-up. Unfortunately for Kurt Lauderdale, the Evil Ninja did not take kindly to being pinned. The Career Killer was held in place by the Arsenal and the Motivator of Madness while the Evil Ninja carved Kurt Lauderdale's arm with a samurai sword. President Seska held an in-ring signing for the team of 2.0 to officially welcome them to the IWS. No sooner was the ink drying on the contracts, than 2.0 showed their true colours, verbally attacking the rest of the IWS roster calling them "Garbage Wrestlers!" The "punks", as Brian the Guppie called them, then announced that they were from a real wrestling federation that promoted real wrestling and they brought out their tag team title belts from another Montreal Wrestling federation declaring that these belts made them the only true tag team champions in Quebec. Once, the Green Phantom and EXcesS69 were friends and tag partners. Their tag partnership ended in November when they lost the tag titles to Extreme Revolution. Last night, their friendship may have ended. The match between the two men was not a friendly contest to see who was the better mat technician. It was a neck-bending, head-dropping test of endurance as the two men tried to kill one another to get the pin. In the end, the Green Phantom secured the win after 9:24, but he needed to drop EXcesS69 on his head with a Ganso Bomb to do it. EXcesS69 had to be carried from the ring after the match. Le Syndicat de Lutte Internet retained their IWS tag team title last night in a stiff three-way dance against Quebec City's New Breed and the Flying Hurricanes. The six men beat the hell out of each other with Viking of the SLI raising the match to a new level of violence by chopping opponents to their knees and tearing off his own shirt to dare his opponents to do the same to him. In fact, Viking won the match for the SLI, pinning Hellstorm of the New Breed at 16:16 with his "Tueur des Policiers" finisher. The main event of Hardcore Heat pitted the current and reigning champion of the IWS, Kevin Steen against the man from whom he stole the belt, El Generico, with Pierre Carl Ouellet, the man that El Generico pinned for the belt, acting as special referee. PCO had his work cut out for him as neither man paid much attention to the rules fighting a pitched battle from one end of the Spag to the other. Both men had chances to win. Steen blew his best chance for victory when he knocked out PCO with a chair-shot just before hitting El Generico with a package pile driver on to the turn buckle. By the time senior official P-Nut hit the ring, El Generico had recovered and after a fierce struggle, the Latin Luchador had the match as good as won after planting Steen with a thunderous brain buster and following up with a beautiful 450 splash. But before El Generico could get the pin and get his title back, a muscle bound lout wearing a Generico match hit the ring to save Kevin Steen and help him win the match at 25:06. As it turned out, the man in the mask was Franky the Mobster, already disliked by IWS fans for his behaviour during inter-promotional shows like those organized by famed Quebed trainer Marc le Grizzly. And if IWS fans disliked him before, they positively loathe the man now, as Franky and Steen's attacks on PCO left the fans hissing in rage. Kevin Steen was once Pierre Carl Ouellet's best friend. It can only be called tragic to see Kevin Steen, a man with a limitless future, trying to end another man's career in a jealous rage. How else can you explain Kevin Steen hitting PCO in the head with his title belt? Or ordering Franky to hit PCO with a chair so hard that Franky knocked a tooth clear across the ring? Or dropping PCO on his head with a Package Pile Driver into the IWS title? PCO said his career might be over; Kevin Steen seems to be determined to be the man who ended PCO's career. And Steen may have done just that. Certainly for those of us at Hardcore Heat who watched PCO in horror fall out of the ring and in a daze climb to the second level of the Spag so that he could ride the railings like a surfboard, while blood poured out of his forehead - we have to ask: Is this the last we will see of Pierre Carl Ouellet? The IWS presents Body Count, Saturday, August 21st at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. 5. Kevin Steen is barely Twenty years old. He has already fought the most dominant champion in independent wrestling, Ring of Honour's Samoa Joe, to a draw. He has already beaten "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, one of the biggest stars in independent wrestling. The fans have awarded him the nickname "Mr. Wrestling" and he may well be the best technical wrestler ever to hail from Quebec. He is also the Internet Wrestling Syndicate champion. But Kevin Steen is living a lie. He did not earn the IWS belt, he stole it. Kevin Steen could not win the IWS gold through skill, so he cheated for it. What must it be like to win your dreams only to have them ripped from your grasp? Ask El Generico. For two years, the Latin Luchador has fought for the IWS title. At the IWS' Fifth Anniversary show, El Generico did the impossible: he beat Pierre Carl Ouellet for the IWS belt. But before the Pride of Tijuana had even finished celebrating with the fans, Kevin Steen was there - attacking El Generico from behind, forcing the ref to start a title match and pinning an exhausted El Generico. This Saturday, during Hardcore Heat, Kevin Steen will face El Generico again. Only this time, El Generico will not start the match exhausted. This time, El Generico will not start the match with his back turned. This time, El Generico is ready for Kevin Steen. Most importantly, this time El Generico is angry, and Kevin Steen is about to discover one of the great open secrets of the IWS. Everyone knows that El Generico is one of the best high-flyers in Canada. It is less well known that El Generico is considered one of the stiffest workers in the IWS. On Saturday, Kevin Steen will learn just how hard El Generico can hit as the enraged Luchador fights to regain his IWS title. Also during Hardcore Heat, former tag team champions will clash as the Green Phantom will face the baby oil phenom EXcesS69. These two men won the IWS tag team title as enemies, but as they defended their title, they became friends. Since they lost the tag team title to Extreme Revolution in November, however, the two men have drifted apart. The Green Phantom has become increasingly irritated at the favouritism displayed by Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris towards his contract superstar. EXcesS69, on the other hand, thinks the the Green Phantom is simply jealous of his success. At Hardcore Heat, these two former partners will meet and their friendship may never be the same. There is man in the IWS who has never allowed friendship get in the way of business. They call him the One Man War. Ironically, the Arsenal suddenly finds himself in charge of an army: Evil Ninja, the Motivator of Madness, Crazy Crusher, Nightmare Manson. This is an army filled with men just as brutal, just as sadistic and just as soulless as the Arsenal himself is. Worse still, the Arsenal has come to realize how much power this army might give him. One might fear that that much power would drive the Arsenal crazy... if he weren't already barking mad. Instead fear for the Arsenal's victims. At Hardcore Heat, the Arsenal will send his disciples Extreme Revolution after his long-time foe the Sex XXXpress, as Sexxxy Eddy will face off against Crazy Crusher with Nightmare Manson stalking at ringside. Meanwhile, the Arsenal will dispatch himself and the Evil Ninja to take on the Kid Kamikaze Experience (featuring Kurt Lauderdale) Fresh off defeating a bear, Beef Wellington finds himself in a match against a member of his own species, Dan Paysan. The Master of the Ass Punch landed in this fight quite by accident. He found Dan Paysan's "Lista Nera" and mistaking it for the guest list to a party, insisted on putting his name at the very top. Hardcore Heat will also feature a title defence by le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, not to mention President Seska, Elsa Bangz, D-Vyn as well as the rest of the IWS roster and IWS ring announcer, the Voice of Wrestling in Quebec, Brian the Guppie. (Commissioner Joesph FitzMorris will miss Hardcore Heat sadly as he attends a convention for foreign video sales in Beirut. Rumour has it President Seska booked him in the Vader Suite.) For more details on Hardcore Heat, watch our internet broadcast - Bloodstream - at http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/images/m...julyepisode.wmv As with last month, the IWS will be shooting extra footage for Pay-Per-View between 7pm and 8pm. Anyone interested in being featured on Pay-Per-View across Canada should be at le Spag before 6:45 pm. The doors will open, then everyone in line in and then close until 8:00 pm. The IWS presents Hardcore Heat, Saturday, July 10th at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. 6. Canadian Wrestling on Pay Per View The fourth edition of Pro-Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future debuts on Viewer's Choice Pay Per View, Friday June 25th, 2004 at 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm. This episode has perhaps the best wrestling of the series to date featuring two world tag champs at the start of their career, a clash between Canada and the United States, a match pitting a world famous student against his teacher and a grudge match from Quebec. And all of this for the incredibly reasonable price of $5.99. The Pay Per View kicks off with a match from the Quebec based Internet Wrestling Syndicate pitting "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen against Beef Wellington. Steen, barely twenty, is already considered one of the finest technical wrestler's of his generation. Sadly, Steen knows just how good he is and that arrogance is fast making him one of the most despised wrestlers in Canada. In fact, it is just that arrogance that resulted in a confrontation between Kevin Steen and his former training partner, Beef Wellington. Possibly the funniest wrestler in Canada, Beef Wellington turned serious for this match, an intense and bloody brawl. Also from Quebec, IWS ring announcer Brian the Guppie sat down for a candid interview with former three time WWF tag team champion, Pierre Carl Ouellet. Tune in to hear PCO discuss his career which has taken him all over the world. Johnny Devine and Petey Williams take on Jerry Lynn in a three way dance that became a battle of countries. Devine and Williams are both Canadians, with Petey Williams especially well known for representing his country in international competition. But can the two Canadians stay a team to take out the tremendously talented Jerry Lynn representing the United States? In wrestling no relationship is more important than the one between the student and the teacher. There is a time to learn, a time to teach... and a time to kick your teacher in the teeth. In the past few years, no teacher/student confrontation has been more fractious than the one between Lo-Ki and his teacher Homicide. Lo-Ki, one of the most talented wrestlers in the world, is reknowned for his hard stiff strikes in the ring which he learned from Homicide. Of course the question is: when Homicide taught Lo-Ki everything Lo-Ki knows, what wrestling tricks did he hold back? The concluding match is an historic confrontation from the archives of Border City Wrestling pitting Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage against BCW legends Arrogant Otis Apollo and Denny Kaas. What makes this tag team match so special is that Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage went on to become WWF tag team champs as the team of Christian and Edge. Here are some pictures of the Kevin Steen/Beef Wellington match featured on the Pay Per View: 1. Results from IWS "V"

How about PPV in July? (2004 smart ass)
  8. Llakor

    Results from IWS "V"

The Official Results of "V" Sid Vicious shocked the wrestling world last night making a startling return to active wrestling in Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the fifth anniversary show of the Internet Wrestling Syndicate. Sid Vicious teamed with Pierre Carl Ouellet to win a ten team tag rumble to a thunderous reception by the IWS faithful. Sid Vicious had been inactive since January 2001 when he snapped his leg in a grisly accident during a WCW pay-per-view. Many people assumed that he would never wrestle again. The IWS fifth anniversary show, simply called "V", began with le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Viking and Damian, defending their IWS tag title belts against the New Breed, DJ Sick and Hellstorm. The SLI have a reputation for brutalizing tag teams that speak English. Last night, they proved that they have no problem being equally stiff with a francophone team from Quebec City like the New Breed. While DJ Sick and Hellstorm proved their skill, the SLI continued their dominance winning after 10:46 with their trademark finisher "Le Tueur des Policiers." In what many people are calling the match of the night, Kevin Steen defeated his long-time rival, the baby-oil phenom EXcesS69, in a match that combined technical wrestling, high flying and the bad temper thuggery that is quickly becoming a Kevin Steen trademark. As a result of a stipulation agreed to by Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris before the match by beating EXcesS69, which Steen did in 14:39 with a package pile driver, he earned the right to a shot at the IWS title. In a rare man-animal inter-species match, Beef Wellington was able to overcome a bear. Mind you, Beef was only able to pin the bear after the ursine grappler was distracted by a timely run-in by a three-legged cow. Beef won the match in 5:53 with his crowd-pleasing ass punch. To the shocked approval of the crowd, El Generico stunned Pierre Carl Ouellet with a flash pin to steal PCO's IWS title after 4:38 (and after a timely distraction by Kevin Steen.) But El Generico and the crowd did not have long to celebrate, as Kevin Steen ambushed El Generico declaring that he was taking his title shot right away. Despite a valiant effort by the masked Mexican, Kevin Steen won the match with the package pile driver after 53 seconds to claim the IWS title. The new team of Sid Vicious and Pierre Carl Ouellet won the ten team tag rumble beating the teams of the Flying Hurricanes, 2.0, the Masked Assassins, Dan Paysan and Tomassino, Dolla Bill and Big Larry aka T-Unit, Los Latinos, Fred le Merveille and Marc le Grizzly, and the newly reformed team of Crazy Crusher and Nightmare Manson, Extreme Revolution. Manson came to the ring disguised as the Motivator of Madness, Crusher's manager, revealing his true identity to help Crusher eliminate Fred le Merveille. The only time to have any sort of success against PCO and Sid were the Kid Kamikaze Experience featuring Kurt Lauderdale, with Kurt Lauderdale measuring up surprisingly well to Sid Vicious. In the end, experience triumphed over desire as Sid Vicious and PCO used the old Quebecker's finisher, the assisted Cannonball to polish Kurt off and win the Rumble at 32:14. As the Green Phantom has said the IWS began in a pit of ultraviolence. “V” ended with a bit of that old ultraviolence with five men who helped start the IWS: the Green Phantom and his partner Sexxxy Eddy, the Arsenal and his partner Evil Ninja, and special guest referee, PCP Crazy F’N Manny. It was an old school IWS death match that saw the wrestlers break out light tubes, glass and fire, in an insane display equal parts courage and sadism. The Green Phantom and Sexxxy Eddy beat Evil Ninja and the Arsenal in 19:02 after the Green Phantom Phantasmed Evil Ninja through a burning pane of glass. The next IWS show is Hardcore Heat, Saturday, July 10th at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. Doors open at 8:00 pm, IWS Bloodstream begins at 8:30 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars. 9. For five years, the Internet Wrestling Syndicate has brought fans hardcore wrestling; for five years the IWS has innovated violence; for five years, the IWS has victimized the wrestling industry. On June 12th, the IWS invites wrestling fans everywhere to come to Montreal and help us celebrate our Fifth Anniversary in a show we simply call “V”. Just a day away from perhaps the biggest show in IWS history, the internet is buzzing about what surprises they could expect. The card announced so far includes the following matches: Main Event: Old School IWS Death Match Arsenal.............................................Green Phantom ...&..............................vs..............................& Evil Ninja..............................................Triple X “Sex XXXpress” Sexxxy Eddy If you needed one man to symbolize the IWS, it would be the Arsenal. A gifted scientific wrestler who uses kendo sticks, barbed wire, and thumbtacks to make his moves that much more painful. A twisted sociopath who is most dangerous when he is smiling, because he only smiles when he is about to hurt someone very very badly. It is only fitting that it was the Arsenal who demanded that the main event of “V” be an Old School IWS Death Match, and for such a match his opponents could only be his two oldest enemies: the Green Phantom and Sexxxy Eddy. Interestingly, the Green Phantom, the Number One Contender for Pierre Carl Ouellet’s IWS title, was booked in this match without being asked when Sexxxy Eddy accepted the Arsenal’s challenge for both of them. It would be hard to believe that the Green Phantom would ever give up a chance to kick the Arsenal’s ass, but he can be hardly be happy that he missed his chance to win back the IWS belt. IWS Title Match El Generico.............................................Pierre Carl Ouellet .............................................vs................................. ............. Challenger................................................Champion The man who benefits the most from Green Phantom missing his chance to challenge for the title is El Generico. This makes the El Generico’s third chance to win the title as he was the first challenger to face both Dru Onyx and the Arsenal. Is the third time the charm for the Latin Luchador? Or will El Generico end up on his back “looking at the shape” while the referee counts One, Two, Three? To see how PCO reacted to the news that he was facing El Generico click here: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/images/multimedia/vpco.wmv Tag Team Rumble The IWS is also pleased to announce as a special treat for our fans, our first-ever Double Elimination Tag Team Rumble. Those sitting at ringside are warned in advance to expect wrestlers flying in all directions. We guarantee some surprise teams will make an appearance in the Rumble, but we can confirm the following participants: Fred le Merveille and Marc le Grizzly Dan Paysan and Tomassino Los Latinos the Flying Hurricanes Two Members of the Fan Favourites T-Unit plus... The Kid Kamikaze Experience featuring Kurt Lauderdale Tag Team Title Match The New Breed.............................................Le Syndicat de Lutte Internet Challenger......................................................Champion .............................................vs................................. ............. DJ Sick..........................................................Damian Hellstorm.......................................................Viking Doctors have cleared DJ Sick to wrestle and he and his partner Hellstorm, the New Breed, will be taking on the current and reigning IWS champions, le Syndicat de Lutte Internet. Both these teams truly believe that they are the best tag teams in Quebec. The New Breed are convinced that they can beat the SLI - Hellstorm has already beaten Damian in singles competition, while DJ Sick holds Viking responsible for the in-ring incident where his arm was broken. For their part, the SLI have already said that they will do anything and everything it takes to win, whether their tactics are in the wrestling rule book or not. I think it will be safe to say that this match will be hard-hitting even by Damian's standards. Best of Quebec Kevin Steen vs. EXcesS69 Kevin Steen’s very first match in the IWS was against EXcesS69 at Un F’N Sanctioned last September. The match did not end well as Kevin Steen, frustrated at being pinned, trapped EXcesS69 in a hangman and then delivered a vicious chair shot to EXcesS69’s unprotected head. If such a thing were possible, these two men dislike each other even more now than they did then. In fact, it has been suggested that the IWS has been reluctant to book this rematch because of the hostility between these two men. One thing are certain about this match: the fans will get to see two of the very best ever to wrestle in this province. ”You’re Ruining Wrestling” Match Beef Wellington vs. A Bear Beef Wellington has been making a mockery of Wrestling since 2001. This time he may have gone too far. To see how Beef succeeded in convincing someone to book this travesty, click here: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/images/m...juneepisode.wmv As we have mentioned before, we will be opening the doors earlier to bring in people to shoot intros with Aaron Weiss to air on Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future. Everyone in line at 6:45 pm will be let in early. As soon as everyone in line has been let in, we will be closing the doors again until 8:00 pm. So, if you want to be on the PPV, show up for 6:45 pm. The IWS presents “V” our Fifth Anniversary show, Saturday, June 12th at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. Doors open at 8:00 pm, IWS Bloodstream begins at 8:30 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars. Four hundred free parking spaces will be provided at the venue. 11. EXcesS69 Wins Tournament of the Icons EXcesS69, long considered one of the finest wrestlers in Canada, proved his ability Friday, May 21st in Deux Montagnes, beating Pierre Carl Ouellet, the IWS champion, to become the fourth winner of the Tournament of the Icons. This tournament, hosted by IWS Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris, is the most important wrestling tournament held in Quebec. EXcesS69’s victory over PCO, the IWS champion, in a non-title match makes him a strong contender for the IWS title, although it should be said that ExcesS69 needed the help of Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris and a questionable ruling from IWS referee Bakais to beat PCO. ExcesS69 joins his former tag team partner the Green Phantom and «Mr. Wrestling» Kevin Steen in the hunt for the gold. As the IWS gets ready for their Fifth Anniversary show, June 12th at le SPAG, there have never been so many contenders for the IWS title. PCO’s loss in the Tournament of the Icons final marks PCO’s first defeat in the IWS ring since joining the IWS last August. In that time, PCO has demonstrated that he is the best shape of his life delivering not only victories but great matches along the way. One of his best matches, the Canadian Match of the Year for 2003, was the three-way dance pitting PCO against Kevin Steen and El Generico. This match can be seen on the Canadian PPV series, «Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future», airing across Canada on Viewer’s Choice Friday May 28th at 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm and 11:00 pm; Wednesday, June 2nd at 6:00 am, 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:30 pm, 9:00 pm and 10:30 pm; and Monday, June 7th at 8:00 am, 11:30 am, 3:00 pm, 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm. Tournament of the Icons kicked off with a match between the IWS «novelty acts» room mates Beef Wellington and El Generico. Before they could get started however, le chef du Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Fred le Merveille, interrupted and booked himself into the match. After a humourous fast-paced match, Beef Wellington stunned the crowd by pinning his roommate El Genrico with his trademark E. Coli pile driver at 9:54. EXcesS69 had an easy win in his first match of the night, forcing F.o.D. to tap to the Stretch Muffler after 2:10. EXcesS69 was helped in his victory by F.o.D.’s son Jonacy who took his own father out of the match with a flaming guitar shot. The Sex XXXpress, Sexxxy Eddy has long had a love/hate relationship with the fans of Two Mountains. In Montreal, Eddy is one of the most popular men on the IWS roster, while in the Olympia Arena of Deux Montagnes, he is one of the most hated. Eddy lived down to the fans’ opinions of him, making his valet D-Vyn the guest referee for his match against international Joshi star Lufisto. Eddy refused to take Lufisto seriously as a wrestler, but the Queen of Hardcore showed Eddy the error of his ways as she beat Eddy from pillar to post. When D-Vyn refused to count to three for Lufisto however (backstage reports suggest that she broke a nail counting) Eddy was able to win the match after a devastating Total Sexxxtacy at 9:51. In the final first round match, the most controversial man in Quebec wrestling and a former Tournament of the Icons winner, Carl XL Leduc faced off against the IWS champion Pierre Carl Ouellet. Carl XL had not been seen in an IWS ring for more than two years after disrupting the main event of an IWS show with a public temper tantrum. The IWS fans had been waiting for years to tell Carl XL what they thought of him and they wasted no opportunity to express their displeasure with the «Size that Hurts» especially when Carl attacked his own father, Quebec wrestling legend Paul Leduc, at ringside. To the delight of the crowd, PCO pinned Carl XL with a power bomb at 9:09 after Carl knocked himself silly with a chair swing at the IWS Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris that bounced off the ropes. Beef Wellington put up a valiant effort against EXcesS69 in their second round match, but the baby oil superstar’s superior conditioning gave him the edge against Beef. ExcesS69 caught Beef going to the top rope for his crowd-pleasing ass punch and pinned the «novelty act» with a one man Spanish Fly at 7:36. Sexxxy Eddy lost his chance to repeat as Tournament of the Icons winner, when he passed up an opportunity to pin PCO in order to pull out a garbage can. Long time observers of the IWS know that nothing good can come out of Eddy using a trash can. Eddy went up top with the garbage can over his own head to perform what many IWS fans call the «Stupid-Sault», but PCO recovered in time to cut Eddy off. The IWS champion proceeded to power bomb Eddy, to pile drive him and to cannon-ball him all while Eddy was still in the trash can. PCO finally threw the trash can off Eddy for the pin at 5:00. In a non-tournament match, the Hardcore Hero of Deux Montagnes, the Green Phantom fought «Mr. Wrestling» Kevin Steen in a submission match. The two men’s dislike for another manifested quickly as a mat-based match turned into a brawl with Kevin Steen trying to break the Green Phantom’s neck while the Hardcore Hero tried to break Mr. Wrestling’s arm. Steen brought innovative violence at one point sliding a table down a ramp from the stage into the back of the Green Phantom’s neck. And, in fact, it appeared that Kevin Steen had the match won when he made the Phantom tap to a modified Camel Clutch. Unfortunately, the referee in the match, Bakais, had been knocked loopy by Steen and Phantom and he did not see or hear the tap. The Green Phantom rallied and hit a Phantasm power bomb into a cross arm-breaker to force Steen to tap after 17:11. The IWS tag team champions, Damian and Viking, le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, defended their titles in a mad and violent four-way scramble match pitting them against the Flying Hurricanes (Takao and Kenny the Bastard), the Fan Favourites (Arsenal and Evil Ninja), and the Kid Kamikaze Experience featuring Kurt Lauderdale. The Evil Ninja reminded the fans why he is considered one of the most dangerous wrestlers in Canada ambushing wrestlers in and out of the ring like a stealthy whirling dervish. The Evil Ninja concentrated his attack on Kurt Lauderdale, leading to the Ninja getting his manager Motivator of Madness to strangle Kurt Lauderdale on top of a table in the ring, while the Evil Ninja moved a twenty foot tall giant screen, climbed the screen and landed a picture perfect splash through Kurt Lauderdale and the table. At this point, the Evil Ninja had the match won, and if the Motivator of Madness had only had the presence of mind to roll the Ninja on top of Kurt Lauderdale, new champions would have been crowned. Unfortunately, by the time that the Evil Ninja had recovered enough to drag himself over for the cover, Viking had returned to the ring. He threw the Evil Ninja off Kurt Lauderdale and out of the ring, giving him enough time to get the pin to retain the title for the SLI at 16 :52. The final match of the Tournament of the Icons pitted the IWS Champion Pierre Carl Ouellet against Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris’ baby-oil champion ExcesS69. It was a classic match of speed vs. power. The two men had previously fought in February with PCO coming out the victor, but ExcesS69 was able to use that experience to pull out astonishing counters to PCO’s power moves. He was also helped by Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris who distracted PCO on a number of occasions to help his contract superstar escape a pinning predicament. ExcesS69 was his usual suicidal self completing a gorgeous moonsault from ten feet up the Olympia Arena’s bleachers to flatten PCO. When EXcesS69 got PCO back to the ring, he was able to endure a PCO rally and clap on his Stretch Muffler submission. Three times PCO reached for the near-by ropes, three times Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris pulled the ropes away from the IWS champion, three times PCO’s hand slapped the canvas in frustration. On the third time that PCO slapped the canvas, IWS referee Bakais declared that PCO had tapped three times and that EXcesS69 was the winner of the match after 17 :42 and the fourth winner of the Tournament of the Icons. PCO objected strongly to this referee decision, planting Bakais with a monstrous power bomb. 13. An IWS Press Release Internet Wrestling Syndicate http://www.syndicatewrestling.com Montreal, Québec, CANADA Monday, April 19th, 2004 *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* The Internet Wrestling Syndicate debuts on Pay per View Aaron Weiss, the producer of Pro Wrestling Superstars - Past, Present and Future, is pleased to present the Internet Wrestling Syndicate on Viewer’s Choice across Canada. “I’ve looked at wrestling footage from all over and I’m delighted to give the IWS the national exposure that they deserve,” Aaron Weiss told IWS announcer Brian the Guppie recently, “My goal with Pro Wrestling Superstars is to show Canadians the best wrestling from across Canada and from around the world, as well as the best wrestlers from yesterday, today and tomorrow.” The first IWS match to be presented showcases the Past, Present and Future of Canadian Wrestling. The three way dance from the IWS show Blood, Sweat and Bears last October was called by many the Canadian Match of the Year. It featured a former three-time WWE tag team champion and former WCW hardcore champion, Pierre Carl Ouellet paired off against two men considered the future of Canadian Wrestling: the Latin Luchador El Generico and “Mr Wrestling” Kevin Steen. The main event of the third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars pits the high-flying crowd favourite Amazing Red against former NWA World Champion A.J. Styles. Bam Bam Bigelow and Balls Mahoney: two men whose very bodies are testament to their careers, with the history of their matches carved into every scar; two men who have bled their life’s blood in more arenas than most wrestlers see in a lifetime; two men who know nothing of the science of wrestling and everything about the principles of pain and the science of suffering; two men in short who define hardcore. Any confrontation between these two men threatens to be a bloody brawl, but when that match is fought under hardcore rules, literally anything can happen. On April 23rd, watch these two men carve another chapter in their hardcore history as they face off in a hardcore match. In addition to the IWS, Pro Wrestling Superstars features matches from Border City Wrestling. As indicated by its name, Border City Wrestling runs shows in both Canada and the United States bringing wrestling fans of both countries the best wrestlers from North America. The third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars will see a match for the BCW Tag Team Title pitting the team of Tyson Dux and El Tornado against The Hacker and Gutter. Also featured is a match for the BCW Heavyweight Championship. In one corner, a man with a reputation for winning big matches and a hunger for gold, the first man to hold both the European and the Intercontinental belts at the same time: D’Lo Brown. His opponent: the diabolical Sinn. The third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future is available on Viewer’s Choice for the bargain price of $5.99 starting Friday, April 23rd at 8pm. To mark this debut on Pay per View, the IWS will be holding a party Friday night at a location to be announced soon.. The Pay per View will also show on April 23rd at 9:30pm, 11pm and 12:30am. It will repeat on April 26 at 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm, 10:30pm, 1:30am and 4:30am, as well as on May 11 at 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm, 10:30pm, 1:30am and 4:30am. The IWS presents "Scarred For Life" Saturday, April 24th, at the Plaza Theatre 6505 Rue Saint-Hubert on the corner of Saint-Hubert and Beaubien, two blocks from the Beaubien Metro, next door to McDonald's. Doors open at 8pm, bell rings at 9pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars at the door. IWS Know Your Enemies

An IWS Press Release Internet Wrestling Syndicate http://www.syndicatewrestling.com Montreal, Québec, CANADA Thursday, April 15th, 2004 *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* Pierre Carl Ouellet survives Kevin Steen Pierre Carl Ouellet fought off Kevin Steen, Saturday March 27th, winning two out of three falls to retain his IWS title. But PCO’s victory was neither easy nor without controversy. While Kevin Steen claims that he was cheated of victory, the fans agreed that they had seen an early candidate for Canadian Match of the Year, a fitting conclusion to Know Your Enemies, a show that many fans are calling the best IWS show ever. Know Your Enemies was held at the beautiful Medley in downtown Montreal. The IWS are renowned for the quality of their Medley shows, but March 27th raised the bar for Canadian wrestling. It marked the first IWS show where matches were filmed for Pay-per-View. Aaron Weiss, producer of Wrestling: Past, Present and Future, will present the IWS as the future of wrestling across Canada beginning April 23rd. Know Your Enemies began with the Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Damian St-Denis and Viking St-Veronique defending their «Ceintures de Championnant par Equipe» against the Westmount Playboy, Kid Kamikaze, and his bodyguard, the Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale. The tag contest that ensued between these two teams was vicious, brutal and unfriendly. Both teams had chances to win, but in the end it was the SLI that emerged triumphant with the unexpected help of the New Breed. The Quebec city team superplexed Kurt Lauderdale leaving him easy prey for the pin by Damian and Viking after 9:38. The SLIs victory celebrations were cut short when the New Breed attacked them in turn. Prior to Know Your Enemies, IWS commissioner Joseph FitzMorris raised eyebrows in the wrestling world by booking what he called a «Sexy Hot Young Man Four Way» featuring four of the biggest sex symbols in the IWS: Sexxxy Eddy, Dan Paysan, Matt Classic and Mr. Xtreem. While the match may have been booked for dubious reasons, none of the 450 fans on hand seemed to mind as the fast-paced match unfolded with all four men determined to prove that they deserved to be on PPV. Despite taking a tremendous beating, the IWS rubber man Sexxxy Eddy pulled out the victory pinning Mr. Xtreem after 11:12. While Eddy and his valet, D-Vyn, were busy celebrating Eddy’s victory, le chef du SLI, Fred le Merveille, accompanied by Elsa Bangz, interrupted the party. Elsa was looking for revenge on D-Vyn after their cat-fight at Violent Valentines, but when Sexxxy Eddy defended his valet, Elsa attacked him instead. At Elsa’s insistence it turned into an official match. Eddy refused to take the match too seriously - constantly reversing Elsa’s moves in embarrassing and provocative ways - eventually pinning Elsa with a kiss after 2:15. Fred le Merveille was incensed at the loss, pointing out that Eddy had cheated to get the win using the ropes to give his kiss extra leverage. Fred insisted on his own match against Eddy’s valet D-Vyn which he quickly won - nearly tearing D-Vyn’s head off with a «coup de la corde-à-linge» after 0:37. It fell to Beef Wellington to get revenge on Fred le Merveille in a Quebec Rules Match... Unfortunately, the match seemed designed to prevent all of Beef’s offence banning as it did top rope moves, pile drivers, eye gouges and cartwheels. In addition, Fred’s imported referee from Quebec City, J.S. Trudel, was constantly adding new rules (at the behest of Damian St-Denis handcuffed at ringside) to take away the rest of Beef’s offence. In the end, Beef found a way to turn the SLIs own rules against them after J.S. Trudel was knocked down. Thinking quickly, Beef propped a dazed Fred on the top rope and then revived the referee in time to watch Fred fall off the top rope. J.S. Trudel ruled Beef the winner of the match by disqualification after 10:34. One of the most hotly anticipated matches of Know Your Enemies pitted the pride of Tijuana, the Latin Luchador El Generico against Quebec’s finest: EXcesS69. Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris accompanied his contract superstar to the ring determined to ensure his victory, but EXcesS69 rejected that help going so far as to hit his own boss with a chair. This match was one that wrestling purists were looking forward to and they were not disappointed. The Montreal wrestling website 514wrestling.com went so far as to say, «I would not consider Generico vs. Excess to be out of place in any card... even if it were the finals of J Cup 2004.» In the end, EXcesS69 emerged triumphant forcing El Generico to tap to the stretch muffler at 23:49. After the match, the two men shook hands in a gesture of sportsmanship and mutual respect. If there are two words missing from the Arsenal’s vocabulary, they are sportsmanship and mutual respect. The Crown Prince of Quebec Hardcore lives by other words: violence, pain and blood. At Know Your Enemies, the Arsenal decided to teach those words to Nightmare Manson in a six man death match. Manson stunned the crowd by bringing out as his partners the Flying Hurricanes, who had been injured in January during Praise the Violence by the Arsenal and the Hardcore Ninjaz. Not to be undone, the Arsenal introduced as his partners Hardcore Ninja Number TwoŠ and the man that Nightmare Manson had never visited in the hospital, his former partner Crazy Crusher. What followed has been described as «Old School IWS!» Manson and the Hurricanes were beaten from pillar to post, but the Hurricanes persevered through kendo sticks and barbed wire to beat the «Fan Favourites» by putting the Evil Ninja through a flaming table after 13:46. The main event of Know Your Enemies pitted two men who had been training partners and friends, but whose friendship was shattered when Kevin Steen tried to break Pierre Carl Ouellet’s neck with a Package Piledriver onto PCO’s IWS title belt. PCO demanded a match against Kevin Steen for Know Your Enemies. Steen agreed but only if the match was a best two out of three falls match. The first fall was all Pierre Carl Ouellet as the older man used his superior size, strength and frankly, rage to burn through Kevin Steen’s defence. The IWS champion won the first fall after 8:20 with a thunderous power bomb. The second fall was more balanced with Kevin Steen able to bring his speed, skill and stamina to bear. Nonetheless, it looked like Steen was going to lose this second fall as well when PCO got Steen in position for another power bomb, but Steen was able to wriggle out of the hold and catch PCO flat-footed with a stiff super-kick that stunned the champion long enough for Steen to get the pin at 8:13 (16:33 total). For the final fall, both men pulled out all the stops. At times it seemed like the two men were more concerned with crippling their opponent than pinning him. Ultimately, Kevin Steen took control power bombing PCO from the Medley stage through a table outside the ring. Steen then dragged PCO into the ring for a Package Pile Driver on PCO’s own IWS title belt. Steen only got a two count, but PCO kicked out in a very rigid fashion and screamed in pain when Kevin Steen grabbed his head. Fearing the worst, senior IWS official P-Nut and IWS ring announcer Brian the Guppie pulled Kevin Steen off PCO and called for medical attention. As the stricken IWS champion was being carried away on a stretcher, Kevin Steen grabbed the IWS title and declared himself the champion. At this point, PCO jumped off the stretcher, scattering IWS staff like bowling pins, and attacked Kevin Steen. PCO hit Steen with a Package Pile Driver of his own and then draped his title belt over Steen as he went up top for a devastating Cannon Ball for the final pin at 17:45 (34:18 total). ***************************************** The Internet Wrestling Syndicate is pleased to announce that we will be presenting our next show "Scarred For Life" Saturday, April 24th at the Plaza Theatre on St-Hubert. This will be the most beautiful venue ever to host the IWS. The Plaza Theatre will feature stage, floor and balcony seating. Because of the varied seating the IWS can not reserve seating for this show. We encourage fans to show up early to choose the seating that suits them best. The IWS presents SCARRED FOR LIFE

Hope is not dead for the Unison. Manny, Joe (our technical director) and myself plus George, the owner of Unison went to the Borough council of Saint Laurent on Tuesday. I made a speech in French about the history of wrestling in Quebec, Manny made a speech about growing up in Saint-Laurent and getting the chance for the entire country to see his wrestling fed on TV, but not being allowed to put on shows where he grew up, and George made a speech about the restriction on wrestling hurting his business and being arbitrary and unfair especially since they let him do a kick-boxing show the week before. The Borough Mayor basically passed the buck. He referred us to the chief bureaucrat for the Ville Saint-Laurent a M. Charette and said that they had rejected wrestling because of "concerns" and that they had passed those "concerns" on to M. Charette. Now the reason that we had gone to the meeting was because this M. Charette had basically told us that the council had rejected us and that there was nothing that we could do. Despite us asking repeatedly, we were not told at the council meeting what those concerns were just that they had been communicated to M. Charette and he was supposed to tell us. Now, I assume that he was just passing the buck and didn't want to give the reasons in front of the local paper (who were very interested) and I suspect that they had never told M. Charette before that night to work with us to "address their concerns" Blame the bureaucrat in other words. That's what he gets paid for, taking the blame for the politicians screw ups. So, we have talked to this bureaucrat since that night and the big concern that he has raised so far is that they don't want Unison doing "shows" (not just wrestling) on a nightly basis. Given that we only want to do a show there once a month, and George only runs shows of any kind three to six times a month, it's not really a problem. So, fingers crossed, knock on wood, we might be able to run shows in Unison soon. Mind you that's soon by the standards of Municipal politics... Funny lines from that night: I'm holding up a poster for the kick-boxing event and asking why the Borough Council is willing to allow "real violence" and frowns on "simulated violence"... The Mayor says (in French) "I'm not qualified to distinguish between what is real violence and what is staged." Manny has just made his spiel about growing up in Saint-Laurent... The Mayor says, "I want you to know that we didn't say no to your show because of your grades in Elementary." Manny is trying to find out WHY they turned us down... Manny says, "We just want a straight answer." The entire audience (about fifty people) breaks out laughing and the former Mayor says, 'You won't get that HERE!"
  16. The IWS presents “Scarred For Life” The Internet Wrestling Syndicate is pleased to announce that we will be presenting "Scarred For Life" Saturday, April 24th at the Plaza Theatre on St-Hubert. The Plaza Theatre, the best-kept secret in Montreal, is an historic art deco theatre used mainly for television tapings. The IWS & the Plaza Theatre will present one of the best production set-ups in independent wrestling including four times as many lights as the Medley. This will be the most beautiful venue ever to host the IWS. The Plaza Theatre will feature stage, floor and balcony seating. Because of the varied seating the IWS can not reserve seating for this show. We encourage fans to show up early to choose the seating that suits them best. With many fans calling "Know Your Enemies" the best IWS show ever, the wrestlers and staff of IWS look forward to doing even better at this show. Once again matches will be filmed for Pay Per View, this time in a venue designed for television tapings. Come see the IWS victimize the industry... and bring a friend. The IWS presents "Scarred For Life" Saturday, April 24th, at the Plaza Theatre 6505 Rue Saint-Hubert on the corner of Saint-Hubert and Beaubien, two blocks from Metro Beaubien, next door to McDonald's. Doors open at 8pm, bell rings at 9pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars at the door. For information about the show e-mail [email protected] or visit the Internet Wresting Syndicate at their web-site: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com. For information about IWS merchandise & DVDs e-mail [email protected] or order from http://www.xrv.com/iws.
  17. First of all, the Internet Wrestling Syndicate has a big show - Know Your Enemies - this Saturday, March 27th at the Medley in downtown Montreal, 1170 St-Denis. Tickets are $17 at the door. We will be accepting donations of used clothing to help Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Montreal. Our newest Beef/Generico video to help set up the show is here: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/images/m...dia/preshow.wmv ************************************************************** The IWS needs your help Just as background, the IWS has a deal with a bar in Saint-Laurent called Unison Bar & Billiard to do shows there. We have been negotiating with the Borough of Ville Saint-Laurent since December to let us run shows there on a regular basis. We were able to hold one show in January as an exception, but since then the borough has been blocking future shows. The excuse is that the bar’s license does not permit wrestling shows, but it doesn’t forbid it either. In fact Unison puts on many different events which aren’t mentioned in their license (concerts, dances, bike shows), but the borough has never objected to those events. I consider the actions of the borough of Saint-Laurent to be discriminatory, unfair and a free speech violation. I also believe that in this matter that the councillors of Saint-Laurent are acting as art critics and censors rather than borough councillors. That is just my opinion mind you, and I am trying (very hard) to be non-confrontational about it. The owner of Unison and the IWS have been trying to negotiate quietly with the Borough since December. Since that obviously isn’t working, on Tuesday I will be going to the monthly open council meeting along with the IWS announcer Brian (the Guppie) Stolovitch. I would like to bring along a petition with as many signatures as possible. If you are coming to our show on Saturday, please sign the petition in person. Otherwise, our petition is on-line here: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/IWS1/petition.html Thank You, Michael Ryan, IWS Time Keeper *************************************************************** As a thank you for the support that the IWS has always enjoyed all over the world, we are dropping the prices on all of our DVDs. Our normal price is $21.95 (US). Until April 14th, you can get them on our web-site for only $15.99 (US). Use the following coupon: "iwsdvd1599" (Also if I get ten sales from this forum, I'll send someone (the Admins can tell me who) a free DVD. So if you're ordering, send me an e-mail to let me know.) Once, they trained together, ate together, fought together. Once, they shared a dream of making it to the WWE together. But that was before Violent Valentines. That was before Kevin Steen’s mind snapped in a jealous rage. That was before Kevin Steen tried to break PCO’s neck with a Package Pile-Driver. On March 27th, the Internet Wrestling Syndicate presents the biggest wrestling show of the year at the beautiful downtown Medley. The show is Know Your Enemies and PCO knows his enemy: Kevin Steen, the friend he trusted, the student he trained, and the man who will feel the awful wrath of PCO’s vengeance as the two men clash in the main event for PCO’s IWS title. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate is pleased to announce that the matches at Know Your Enemies will be filmed to be shown on Pay Per View across Canada. Aaron Weiss, producer of “Wrestling: Past, Present and Future” has chosen the IWS to represent the future of wrestling in Canada. To support the wrestling in the ring, amongst the best in Canada, the management of IWS has arranged for a sound and lighting set-up that will exceed the expectations of the even the most jaded fan. To make the event that much more of a special occasion, the IWS fans’ favourite band, Tantrumn will be on hand to open the show with their “IWS Theme”. In addition, prior to the main event, they will play Pierre Carl Ouellet’s new theme song. During the show, footage will be shot to create a music video for this newly composed song which is being filmed for Musique Plus. The fans, the self-proclaimed “hardcore soldiers” of the IWS, have previously shown that when it comes to charity that they know how to give until it hurts, generously supporting both Sun Youth and the Montreal Children’s Hospital. For Know Your Enemies, the IWS is calling on its fans to help Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Montreal by bringing a donation of used clothing. Any one who contributes will be entered in a draw for free IWS merchandise. Two men who know a little something about hardcore will meet at Know Your Enemies... and they will be bringing friends. After losing to Nightmare Manson during Violent Valentines, the Arsenal challenged Manson to a death match at the Medley saying, “Bring two friends, if you have any, because I am going to have the Fan Favourites in my corner.” One can only wonder what sadistic tricks the sociopathic Arsenal has up his sleeve, as he prepares for a match where he can indulge his misanthropy in full. Another match that is leaving fans guessing is the bout between Fred le Merveille and the man he calls “Boeuf Wellington.” The self-appointed IWS language policeman, Fred le Merveille challenged Beef Wellington to a “Quebec Rules” match. No one is entirely certain what rules will be used in a “Quebec Rules” match, but it would be a fair guess that they will not be to the advantage of the anglophone Beef Wellington. While Fred le Merveille, the leader of le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, rigs a match in his favour, his henchmen, Damian St-Denis and Viking St-Veronique prepare to defend their newly renamed “Ceinture de Champion par Equipe SLI.” Their challengers at the Medley will be Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale. While no-one can deny the wrestling ability of the tag team champions will it be enough to fight off the technical genius of Kid Kamikaze joined with the frightening power of the Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale? Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale got their title shot by following IWS Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris’ “advice” and eliminating the Green Phantom from the Gauntlet match to name a number one contender held during Violent Valentines. It has been a rough couple of months for the Green Phantom. Since losing the IWS tag title that he held with EXcesS69, the Green Phantom has been ambushed and embarrassed by Tank, by Giovanni and by Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale. The IWS Hardcore Hero has come to a conclusion: all of these attacks can be traced back to the hand of one man - Dru Onyx. This prompted a fiery tirade unleashed by the Green Phantom that has just recently been posted on the IWS website: www.syndicatewrestling.com. How will the Bajan Bomber react to this on-line provocation? The winner of the Gauntlet match and new number one contender for the IWS title, Sexxxy Eddy, reluctantly gave up his title shot for Know Your Enemies at PCO’s request so that the IWS Champion could get his hands on Kevin Steen. This prompted IWS Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris to label Eddy a whiner and an idiot. Since Sexxxy Eddy had no match for the Medley, the Commissioner decided to put his four biggest annoyances... and the four biggest sex symbols in the IWS into a four-way... match: the Triple X “Sex XXXpress” Sexxxy Eddy vs. Dan Paysan vs. Matt Classic vs. Kevin Martel. More details of Know Your Enemies will be released in the weeks to come as we count down to the biggest independent wrestling show held in Canada this year. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate presents Know Your Enemies, Saturday, March 27th at the beautiful downtown Medley. Tickets are seventeen dollars at the door. Doors open at 8:00 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. For information about the show e-mail [email protected] or visit the Internet Wresting Syndicate at their web-site: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com. IWS Know Your Enemies Promos

Not quite... But the relations are a little strained. Phantom did a Schiavone at the last show and announced that Onyx was winning the title for that other fed. (Not quite as bad as Schiavone, since they were both live shows happening at the same time.) He also said some very uncomplimentary things about Onyx. Dru was a teeensy tiny bit ticked. I don't think that Phantom calling out Onyx and calling him a coward when he knows that Onyx is going to be on the other side of town defending his title is going to improve Onyx' mood any.

Before PCO could celebrate his successful title defence, however, he was viciously attacked by his protege Kevin Steen. In fact, in a frightening moment, PCO was temporarily paralyzed after Kevin Steen gave him the Package Pile Driver onto his own title belt. While preventing PCO from receiving medical attention, Kevin Steen complained bitterly about PCO stealing his spot in the IWS, his shot at the title and his trademark move: the Package Pile Driver. Only after Steen had finished his paranoid ravings, were IWS staff finally able to reach PCO. They were eventually forced to turn the Time Keeper’s table into a make-shift stretcher and carry PCO from the ring as a hushed crowd looked on. In a happier moment, the fans were already celebrating before the first match as Brian the Guppie of Team 990’s Between the Ropes rocked the NDR center with three announcements. First of all, he was pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of the fans, the IWS had been able to raise just over $350 for the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Second, Guppie invited the fans to join him for the next IWS show, Know Your Enemies, to take place Saturday, March 27th at the beautiful downtown Medley. Guppie promised that the set-up for the Medley would be the most impressive and technically advanced ever seen at an independent wrestling show in North America. Having primed the more than three hundred hardcore soldiers who filled the NDR Centre, Brian the Guppie blew the roof off the place when he made his final announcement, “We have just made a deal that will see the IWS featured on Pay Per View across Canada.” The opening bout of Violent Valentines saw upper class Westmount square off against working class Villeray. Originally Kid Kamikaze was scheduled to face Dan Paysan’s consigliere, the hulking Tomassino, but Dan Paysan gave Tomassino the night off, choosing to take on Kid Kamikaze himself after the Westmount Playboy ran his mouth. Dan Paysan had an early advantage after Tomassino booted Kid Kamikaze before the opening bell, but Kamikaze recovered and was able to use his technical wrestling abilities to place Dan Paysan jeopardy. In the end, the grappling good fella came out on top, surprising Kid Kamikaze with his “Last Kiss” neck breaker after 7:53. The sloshed Scot, Highlander Pat Hamilton, made his return to the IWS after nearly a year’s absence to face Nightmare Manson. Unfortunately for Pat, after dancing to the ring he was attacked by the kendo stick wielding Arsenal. Normally, Pat is strong to the finish because he drinks his Guiness, but in the non-alcoholic environs of the NDR Centre he was at a severe disadvantage. The Arsenal beat the Highlander out of the ring and announced that he was taking the Scot’s place against Nightmare Manson. The ensuing contest was a hardcore clinic as the two men beat each other with chairs, tables and garbage cans. Despite the intervention of the Hardcore Ninjaz, Nightmare Manson was able to reverse a Death Valley Driver to steal the victory at 10:23. After the match, the furious Arsenal challenged Nightmare Manson to a death match at the Medley and invited him to bring two friends, because the Arsenal was bringing the Hardcore Ninjaz with him. The new IWS tag team champions, le Syndicate de Lutte Internet, Damian Doré and Viking Villeray, announced before their match against the Hardcore Ninjaz that they were renaming the the title to, “Le Ceinture SLI Championnant Par Equipe.” With Fred le Merveille, Marc le Grizzly and Elsa Bangz in the corner of the SLI, and the Arsenal and the Motivator of Madness in the corner of the Hardcore Ninjaz, the tag match was fun but chaotic as the two groups tried to cheat each other out of the title. In the end, Hardcore Ninja Number Two threw his own brother over the top rope onto a table to the outside hoping to crush Damian, who was saved in the nick of time by Marc le Grizzly. While the Evil Ninja looked horrified at the wreck that he had made of his own brother, Viking ambushed him with the title belt and got the pin, with his feet on the ropes, to successfully defend his tag titles after 8:25. After the match, Quebec City’s New Breed attacked le SLI. Kevin Steen is known to the fans of the IWS as Mr. Wrestling, but his fight with Kurt Lauderdale was just that, a fight. A no holds barred, drag down brawl that saw the Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale deliver a viciously intense beating on Kevin Steen. It seemed that all hope was gone for Kevin Steen, but in a quick offensive flurry the technical wizard was able to weaken the Career Killer leg’s enough to apply the Sharpshooter and bring the crowd to their feet. Kurt was just able to make it to the ropes, however, and he stunned Kevin Steen with his Career Killer Power Bomb. The big man foolishly pulled up Kevin Steen at two in order to deliver another Career Killer Power Bomb, but this gave Kevin Steen a chance to reverse the move into a flash roll-up for the pin at 9:00. After the pin, Kurt Lauderdale retaliated by levelling Kevin Steen with two devastating Dragon Drivers. Fans of the IWS will long remember the Gauntlet match that followed which mixed power with skill, and comedy with drama. To detail fully how this match got the crowd on their feet and kept them there for nearly an hour would be impossible, but in brief the results were as follows: Number one entrant Green Phantom pinned number two entrant FoD with the Phantasm after 4:36. The IWS Hardcore Hero pinned number three entrant Twiggy after 3:22 (7:58). Phantom continued on to pin the number four entrant Motivator of Madness with the Green Mist and the Garvin Stomp after 1:42 (9:40). Number five entrant Kid Kamikaze fell to the Phantom Menace Ganzo Bomb after 3:26 (13:06). At this point, Kurt Lauderdale, who was not entered in the Gauntlet, charged in and attacked the Green Phantom. A two on one beat down ensued, leaving the Green Phantom easy prey for entrant number six Marc le Grizzly who pinned the Green Phantom with a scoop and slam after 1:28 (14:34). Marc pinned entrant number seven Chris Stevens with a slam after 5:04 (19:38). Fred le Merveille, who was already at ringside, was announced as entrant number eight. As the crowd chanted “Injustice”, Fred refused to fight his fellow SLI member, until IWS senior official Peanut informed them that if they didn’t fight they would both be eliminated. A reluctant Fred pinned Marc le Grizzly with the Big Boot and the Leg Drop after 2:42 (22:20). Entrant number nine Beef Wellington pinned Fred with the Ass Punch and E. Coli Pile Driver after 4:30 (26:50). Declaring himself the winner, Beef announced that he was heading to Euro-Disney, but his victory celebrations were cut off by the music of entrant number ten... El Generico. The two room mates fought a pitched battle before Elsa Bangz, Fred le Merveile and Marc le Grizzly interfered. Marc nailed Beef with the Québec flag and flattened him with a Power Bomb while Elsa and Fred distracted El Generico and the ref. El Generico eliminated his room mate with a 450 top rope splash after 7:12 (34:02). Afterwards, Fred le Merveille challenged the man he calls “Boeuf Wellington” to a “Quebec Rules” match at the Medley, March 27th. El Generico eliminated entrant number eleven< Alex Price, with a Brain Buster after 5:48 (39:50). A cocky Matt Classic, star of British Columbia’s Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling, was the twelfth entrant. He pushed El Generico to the limit, but in the end his confidence proved his down fall as El Generico surprised him with a flash roll-up after 6:04 (45:54). Two time former IWS champion, the Triple X “Sex XXXpress” Sexxxy Eddy, was the last entrant in the Gauntlet entering with D-Vyn. A beaten and exhausted El Generico desperately tried for a quick win, ambushing Eddy with a roll up during his strip routine, but to no avail. The Latin Luchador fought as long as he could before finally surrendering to Eddy’s Total Sexxxtacy Senton Bomb for the pin after 5:06 (51:00). This victory makes Sexxxy Eddy the Number One Contender for the IWS title. In the main event, EXcesS69 brought his speed, his agility and his technical skill to bear against Pierre Carl Ouellet, but the veteran PCO was equal to every challenge, despite the interventions of Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris, unwanted by both PCO and EXcesS69. In turn, PCO brought a punishing offence to bear, literally beating EXcesS69 from pillar to post using moves that rocked both EXcesS69 and the crowd including a ferocious Jack Knife Face Plant. But PCO was never quite able to put way the resilient EXcesS69. In fact, when the two men brawled into the crowd, EXcesS69 stunned both PCO and the crowd by jumping and grabbing a metal rod eight feet up, swinging himself up to a rod twelve feet up and jumping off in a picture perfect moonsault, decking PCO and landing on his feet. When the two men made their way back to the ring, Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris tried to interfere one last time only to be attacked by Kevin Steen. PCO finished off EXcesS69 with a Samoan Drop off a table balanced on the top rope and the pin at 20:17. Before PCO could celebrate his victory, Kevin Steen attacked him with tragic results.
