Yeah, like HHH, who had all of those GREAT matches with HBK. Why do some wrestling commentators masturbate to their own BBQ sauce and football so much? I just don't get it. Because WWE would rather hire Steve "Solar Plexus" Romero and Todd "OOOOOhhh nooooooo! I sound so monotone and can't get Jushin "Thunder" Liger's damn name right!" Grisham.

There can't be much individuality when half the roster is told to get their hair cut short by management, cruiserweights wrestling like heavyweights, and OVW wrestlers who are called up being totally worthless in the ring due to the WWE style, or the fact that they were never good in the first place (Tomko, Magnus/Hassan, Masters, Heidenreich, etc.).
-
For a group that was supposed to be called the "Cooperation", some of them really didn't "cooperate" too well with each other. Like The Rock and The Big Show, for example. Just kidding. I knew what you meant, Shanghai.

IIRC, wasn't it a little before WM 19 when Austin had to be taken to the hospital after collapsing from dehydration or something? I saw something about that a year or two ago on TV on a WWE special (could have been on UPN), which could have explained why Austin/Rock at WM 19 wasn't too great. I also think it was Austin's last year of being an active wrestler for a while, too, since his neck injury had taken its toll on him that year.

I remember that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did I somehow miss a thread about that?

I'm in the process of downloading a .rar extension file and I was wondering what program/media player I should use to view them properly? RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc.? I have the first two already installed, but I'm not sure if either one of those support .rar files yet.

Is there a way to get either WinRAR or Power Archiver for free instead of being stuck with a 40-day trial version of WinRAR that I'd have to buy eventually to keep using it?

Heh. Remember Snuka wearing boots in HCTP? Before they get to stuff like the Steviekick, I'd rather they fix stuff that's been around since the freaking PS1 days. Just for an example, hello Yakuza Kick and flying moves where the character flies toward the middle of the ring instead of the actual opponent. Fucking lazyasses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Snuka actually wore boots later in his WWE career (early 90's, I think), at least. Of course, he had also grown facial hair, too. I also hate the Yakuza Kick in the Smackdown series. It doesn't connect too well like it does in indy wrestling.

-Wrestlers with different looks/attires. It gets boring to see half the roster having short hair and generic trunks/attire that doesn't look right on certain wrestlers. It's even worse when longer-haired wrestlers except HHH and HBK are told to cut their hair short (unless some needed it, like Christian, whose hair is thinning. HBK needs one, too.). -Different characters. This could somewhat fall under "different looks/attires", but why do Rob Conway, Sylvain Grenier, and Doug Basham all have the same "sunglasses-wearing, cocky bastard" character? Next, we'll be seeing Damaja/Danny Basham with a similar character on Heat or Raw at this rate. Gay characters (Heart Throbs as Billy & Chuck 2.0) and narcissist gimmicks ("The Reflection of Perfection" Mark Jindrak, who's gone, and Chris "The Masterpiece" Masters) need to go, too. -No more bait-and-switch Raw/Smackdown previews. Even though none of us were looking forward to the Masterlock Challenge last week with HBK, at least do what's previewed for THAT show, WWE.

It's actually been a while since Stevie's done the Stevie-T. Though auto-pin moves should still be optional, which would make it useful in tag team matches so that an opposing tag team partner doesn't break up the pin every time. At least then I could still hit my finisher and then knock the other partner off the apron.

That's some lazy programming that Yukes did with Richards. -They fucked up the color scheme of his trunks by making them white with the pink "SR" initials instead of the other way around like they were on TV earlier this year. -No wristbands?! WTF?! This is almost as bad as when they didn't include them for Edge on SVR last year. -The Stevenkick is done with the left leg? Have Yukes been paying attention to WWE TV much at all this year, besides the fact that they put him on Smackdown, which is the brand he's currently on after the late-night trade back in July?

http://www.tnawrestling.com/ Look in the lower right hand corner of the PPV schedule section on the site. Does anyone else think TNA should establish some yearly PPV names like WWE does so TNA won't be looked at as "amateur" for their inconsistent PPV names? Or does anyone like this idea?

It'll most likely still be banned as soon as Vito accidently injures someone with the Implant DDT. That's usually what prompts WWE to ban certain moves.

It doesn't sound like I'll have to go out of my way to try to find a download of Raw this week, then. I'll have a new satellite system by September 13th, though. If Unforgiven looks like it's going to suck, though, I most likely won't bother buying it. Flair wanting to "take a bite" out of Carlito's ass doesn't sound too promising, even though I never wanted to see Flair vs. Carlito in the first place.

Some more things to add to the list... -Paul London's "Waaahhh! I've been screwed again!" angle and wearing Pac-Man trunks. -Shelton Benjamin 2005: Jobbing so badly that you might as well call him the black Jericho. -Kerwin White (debatable for a few people, but I still think racist characters suck, especially ones given to wrestlers who have went from suddenly being Mexican to being "white" on TV) -Rob Conway's Leopard skin-wearing Buff-lite character. -Handshakes galore with Michaels/Hogan, and Vince/Matt Hardy. -Batista/JBL matches. -"UPN Network Executive", a rip-off of Cyrus from ECW with "The Network". All this angle needs now is a wrestler with bleach blonde long hair, a black beard, and a tendency to blade every match being one of the "UPN Network" members. -PMS 2.0 with Torrie and Candice.
-
I especially hated BOD being sponsored on Raw a few years ago with Test and Stacy Keibler advertising it.
-
I still wonder how good a Jamie Noble/Chris Benoit match would be if given enough time.
-
Another example of how stupid WWE's even more evident toning down of the Cruiserweight division really is. Was it Hurricane/Jamie Noble KOTR 2002 bad, or worse?
-
It'll be sad if Benoit and Eddie actually have a lower Overall rating than Scotty 2 Hotty.
-
StylesMark must be talking about some promotional music used for WWE's New Years Eve 1999 show with some of the wrestlers like Al Snow (with Head, ) predicting "the end of the world in 2000". Is that what you're talking about?

News on Video Game, New Talent,Unbreakable line-up
Silence replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
I unfortunately read a while back that TNA had tried to reach negotiations with Eidos, the developer of the shitty Backyard Wrestling games. So if TNA is still going with Eidos for their video games, then their first video game will obviously really suck. -
Probably the only reason he wasn't rated an 88 this year is because he isn't the World Heavyweight Champion anymore. 86 is still kind of overrated for Orton, though.
-
Ultimate X matches are overkilled and most of them are never too great anyway.
-
See what I told everyone?

Oh. I never bought SVR because it sucked anyway, I just played it with my half-brother a year ago and I couldn't recall HHH's SVR Overall for that reason. Anyway, I guess 103 Overall sounds more like it.
