At this rate, HHH will be rated an Overall of 98. AndrewTS sounds more right every year about the crappy stat system for the Smackdown games.

WWE figures out ways to book themselves in a corner consistently.

resign=leave re-sign=go back/sign a new contract with a company I think that's right.
-
Not just that, but it seems like 3 fucking times already if you count it being posted in a Raw thread a few weeks ago. As for WWEi - Raw Edition, I think it's ok, but the design of some of the wrestlers/personalities could be done better (fat Lillian Garcia was priceless, however), along with the voices, too. JR was still hilarious in the game, though, along with Lawler giving him a piledriver on the announce table and JR confusing Bret Hart with Chris Jericho.
-
I guess so. Must be like Shane Helms becoming Gregory Helms because of Shane McMahon. Now we can't have Paul Burchill because there's... Paul London? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It'll seem rather pointless if Paul London ends up released from WWE in 1 or 2 months. Still, though, why can WWE have all the Chrises (Benoit, Masters, Jericho, etc.) in the world, but only one Paul or Shane?
-
I know. I guess I should have pointed that out earlier. Too bad we'll probably never see the day of a wrestling game with both editing appearances AND movesets included. Although even if those are available on the Smackdown games on the PS3 in two years, I'm still not buying the system due to the expensive price, no hard drive, bad controller, etc.
-
I think they've been doing that for the past 4 or 5 years now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah. There have been so many underutilized wrestlers released over the past several years from WWE/wrestlers and divas quitting because of their frustrations with WWE, and yet WWE always seems to find something to do for hosses or greenhorns who aren't ready to be pushed.
-
Why doesn't someone just break it with a key? J/K. Boring main-event. Carlito and Chris Masters don't need to be pushed to the main events so soon, obviously.

Face Angle in 2001 was fucking annoying to me most of the time. In his matches, he'd be almost invincible ala The Rock as a face, he was WALKING on Smackdown with a neckbrace after heel Stone Cold gave him a piledriver on Raw that week, and his character was a shitty cross between Ken Shamrock ("Aaaaaahh! Tap you son of a bitch!!" at Summerslam 2001 against Austin) and The Patriot (the All-American Hero for WWE, except in dorky fashion). As for Milk-O-Mania, as hilarious as it was, I still found it to be goofy and a rip-off of Austin's beerbath on The Corportation in 1999. Angle's face run in 2002 consisted of him being a BUTT-buddy to Brock Lesnar. Hell, they even kissed that year.

Where have art_vandelay (guy with the animated cartoon avatar of Misawa trading punches with another Japanese wrestler), JMTapes (I think that's his name), and J. Hungerford Smith been?

Jericho's very over as a face in WWE and isn't cowardly, but he also gets stale easily as a face in WWE with the goofy nature of his face character. However, despite Jericho being more tolerable and funnier as a heel, he gets booked like a chickenshit in WWE quite easily by having authority figures like Bischoff and Vince helping him get WWE title shots/wins instead of Jericho being able to do it on his own. WWE also has had Jericho cheat just to beat no-name low mid-carders like Faarooq and Mark Henry. Don't forget WWE having Jericho clean up dog shit as the heel Undisputed Champion, either.
-
I remember Austin giving a piledriver to Angle in 2001 (although Angle being able to walk on Smackdown later that week with a neckbrace sort of killed the credibility of the move in WWE), too. I don't think I remember Tori or Trish being piledriven after piledrivers were banned in WWE in 2000, though. I might be wrong, but the only female (or she-male, anyway) I really remember getting piledriven in WWE after 2000 was Chyna either by Val Venis or Steven Richards when they were RTC members.
-
Yeah. Vince would probably tell him to stop using the Sliced Bread #2 as his finisher, most likely.
-
Which is why WWE doesn't need to just give him opponents like Funaki all the time, or it could get stale. Aside from that, I find myself chuckling over Kennedy's ring announcing.
-
Tonight's Smackdown was a nice change from most of the shitty Smackdowns that I've seen in the past month or so. Although I still wonder if the fans are going to buy Eddie Guerrero, who lost to Mysterio every time they wrestled each other, going for the World Heavyweight title later on?

This game isn't being developed by AKI, so I wouldn't expect that.

HCTP was accurate, but some of the attires were dated: -Victoria still wore her pink debut attire from 2002, even though she had changed her attire mostly in 2003. -Steven Richards wore blue shorts and had shorter hair from 2002 even though the in-game signs for him were meant for his pink attire and longer hair look. -Jericho had his Wrestlemania X-8 attire from 2002 and never wore it much in 2003. Although they did get one of his newer attires/looks as an alternate attire (Jericho's long goatee/blue Hi-Lite Reel tights look that he had in 2003). -Trish's "Stratusfaction" attire was already seen in the SYM, and wasn't wearing it at all in 2003. -Randy Orton, despite being an Evolution member, still had the same attire from SYM instead of trunks after he joined Evolution. -Goldberg was wearing black trunks instead of his split-shorts attire that he had for a while. The split-shorts sucked anyway, though. As for some wrestlers/divas not in the game because of voiceovers: Some of the SVR wrestlers/divas didn't even have voiceovers in Season mode, and were still included. So even though WWE hasn't done much with Victoria this year, I'd still rather see her in the game than a released and useless diva like Joy Giovanni.
-
Has anyone else noticed that this is the first time Victoria's not in a Smackdown game since she debuted on HCTP? I guess because WWE didn't do much with her for most of this year up until her heel turn in the summer, and now she's once again nowhere to be seen on TV after her brief feud with Stacy Keibler/Super Stacy. THQ should have removed the released wrestlers/divas from July, though, because they've been gone for a while now.

The last part of their usernames are the giveaway, and Y2Jerk even acknowledged that he had his name changed back from RobotJerk to Y2Jerk once again in one of his posts from either earlier this month or late last month.
-
Yeah, so who are the in-game Tag Champs going to be, then? Surely Eddie isn't still teaming with Rey in the game, considering Eddie turned heel around the spring of this year.
-
It didn't stop WWE from giving Jericho (who's lost every PPV match this year and didn't earn a title shot in a match or wrestle much at the time until just 2 weeks before Summerslam) a WWE title shot on Raw against Cena. This is unfortunately how WWE logic works, of course.
-
JR might say that it was "too dangerous" or something to that effect.
-
Possible Ross Report comment:"Chris Masters is a young stud who has the potential to be a future main-eventer in WWE. Working with someone the caliber of Shawn Michaels will help him reach that level."
-
What the hell could have caused all of these video game delays that I've been reading about this year, anyway? This might turn some video gamers away soon because of them being tired of all the delays on their most anticipated video games.
-
It kind of reminds me of when THQ/AKI left Ric Flair out of WCW Revenge because he had sued WCW that year (1998) and wasn't seen very much around that time because THQ/AKI weren't sure what his future plans were in the company.
