Who is that new ring announcer on RAW???

Lillian from 2001:"The Allowance!" That was two years after she debuted in WWE, too.

    Draft Trades ENDS Tonight....

A-Train actually wrestled Jericho on Raw last year, didn't he? As for the near-deadline drafts, I unfortunately don't expect that to happen with the low mid-carders since the only wrestlers that have moved are either main-eventers or upper mid-carders.

So how do I watch Impact?

Credit: TNAWrestling.com It's good that they finally acknowledged that Impact would be replacing Xplosion so that people who get that show but didn't watch because it was just recaps will tune in. Now, all they have to do is beef up the syndicated network. On the plus side, this week's line-up looks good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess if I still have the Sunshine Network/Sun Sports Network (is that the new name for it?), I'll try to get Impact taped at 12 to watch it the next day or stay up and watch it, depending on how tired I am around that time.

Who is that new ring announcer on RAW???

I think it's Justin Roberts. He's done ring announcing for WWE for maybe 2 years now, but a while back, it seemed like it was every once in a while when he'd show up. As for now, I'm not sure if Lillian's being replaced by him yet. Edit: Damn it Rudo, you beat me to it.

So how do I watch Impact?

The "click and watch" method on Real Player doesn't sound too great to me. That means when I'm waiting for the stream to go all the way to the end while I'm watching the first part of it, my 56K connection might disconnect on me later on and then I'll have to start all over again. I'd rather have a download link that I can copy into my download manager so I'll be able to watch all of it (not a file that takes forever, though). Fucking bad idea, TNA.

RVD being drafted to Raw just to be an IC title contender definitely doesn't make sense, and he's back on the HHH Show, too, unfortunately. At least HHH wasn't on Raw tonight, though.

After last night, can we finally end the myth

That was definitely terrible, but that doesn't compare to HHH's numerous burials to Jericho for so long that his main-event credibility has been shot to hell for the past few years now.

So how do I watch Impact?

If Sharkboy somehow loses the lawsuit, what do you think his new ring name should be? Because I don't think TNA's going to come up with a better one than any of us might have.

So does this mean Edge will use his MITB title shot on Batistia tonight? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It wouldn't seem right after just coming off of a PPV loss to Kane. Edge should have been booked to win at Vengeance to make him seem like a title contender. "Hooooooooooooooo traaaaaiiiinnnn!" Batista might be going to Smackdown, so that may not happen.

Cena? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll reserve judgment until tonight about that. Yeah. Another one of my bad attempts at a joke. Sorry for the eyesore.

One of the wrestlers with 3 letters in his name.

After last night, can we finally end the myth

I know he's a heel. That doesn't mean he should cut another long-winded, redundant promo while the champion doesn't even get to cut a promo after winning the belt, or even have a match, or the champion cleaning up dog shit while HHH and Stephanie are the ones that have more heat between them. It also doesn't mean HHH should keep getting title shots, even though he's lost twice in a row in Championship matches, or him winning the title back after losing it on the previous PPV, of course. BTW, what sense does it make having Benoit and Batista look like dumbasses by falling for every one of HHH's tricks?
  15. Silence

After last night, can we finally end the myth

Exactly. I'm not going to "give HHH some props", yet, until he puts over more significant talent and doesn't bury them in promos by doing the whole "You got lucky for one night-uhhhhh. Let's see if you can beat me again-uhhhhh at the next PPV-uhhhh" or "I proved to the world-uhhhhh that you're not in my league-uhhhhh" bullshit. As for Benjamin, his wins over HHH came off as flukey, and when HHH finally did beat him, the announcers never brought up the fact that HHH hadn't been able to beat Benjamin every time they wrestled each other, which hurt Benjamin's credibility somewhat. Not as much as last week's Raw though, when he suddenly lost the Intercontinental title to the new Raw acquisition, Carlito. Benjamin definitely needs some re-building now. Benoit didn't have enough spotlight on him last year as the World Heavyweight Champion. HHH was still the focus of Raw, and Benoit wasn't even on one of the Raws last year while he was Champion. Either that, or he defended the title against Kane or Rob Conway (no offense to him, since he's better than Grenier, but he wasn't built up as a legit title contender since he's been typecasted as a tag-team mid-carder for a while). As others have said, Batista looked like a fool in the weeks leading up to his Vengeance match against HHH because WWE had Ric Flair low-blow him from behind after convincing Batista that he "thanked him" for helping him take out Edge, Christian, and Tomko in the previous week on Raw. Not only that, but I'm sure everyone remembers when Batista FINALLY showed up on one of the Raws this year almost 5 minutes before the show ended to beat the hell out of HHH. HHH did, however, lose to Batista on 3 PPV's in a row, but it could have been more effective if Batista had more focus on him as Champion, I think. I know everyone's beaten me to all of these statements above, but it obviously goes to show that HHH putting someone over is more than just him losing to them on PPV.

The one & only OVW...errr, Smackdown thread.

True. Just ask The Big Show and JBL (well, he did unfortunately have a brief flirtation with a main-event spot on Raw when he was still the flamer cowboy back in 2002, but nothing significant).

    TNA on Spike?

The problem with a one-hour show is that TNA might keep featuring too many jobber squashes on Lex Lovett and Buck Quartermain almost every week when the more popular TNA wrestlers (not anything too PPV-worthy, though) could be having matches with each other instead. On the other hand, TNA probably does need to keep "testing the waters" with the ratings before going ahead with a two-hour timeslot on Monday or Tuesday nights.

    Early Smackdown Taping (*Spoilers*)

Yes. Which is why the Undertaker/Orton match (if it happens) at The Great American Bash might be shitty this time due to The Undertaker not being able to do much because of his bad hip.

    Early Smackdown Taping (*Spoilers*)

I'm hoping that Benjamin and Jericho (yeah, he's in a WWE title match on Raw, but I think he could still be eligible for a draft after that's over with) get drafted to Smackdown to get away from HHH, unless he decides to jump to Smackdown with them if he wins the World Heavyweight title at Vengeance. The last time I saw Benoit on Raw, he was dealing with Tomko, Edge, and Snitsky. A Benjamin/Benoit match on Raw wasn't in any of WWE's plans, sadly enough. Jericho and Benoit already had their mini-feud earlier this year on Raw, with their match in Japan being disappointing due to the short amount of time WWE gave it and the WWE style. After reading the spoilers on Smackdown, though, you're right. Benoit's on Smackdown just to have matches with The Bashams and deal with an assholish Eddie Guerrero in the same lockerroom? What the hell?!

The OAO RAW Thread for June 13th, 2005

Big Stevie Cool. Vince:"Stevie Who?" As for Raw, the last segment was really the only good part about it. Cena's suddenly become a mid-carder, Jericho suddenly cares about "winning the Championship" when he hasn't won too many matches this year and did the "I don't give a shit anymore" character not too long ago that could have had potential. Yet now, they stick him in the Cena/Christian WWE Championship match for some odd reason, making it a pointless triple threat match. By the way, the dress code definitely needs to go, because seeing HBK, Angle, HHH, and Batista fighting each other in suits was fucking weird.

One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

If the bad match had been due to Eddie being injured or personal issues, it would have been understandable. However, it's obviously been reported that one of the reasons that the match was bad was because Eddie was upset over having to lose to Benoit last night, and therefore, Eddie, for some stupid reason, decided to phone in his performance just to piss Benoit off.
  25. Silence

One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

Well, now that I think about it: -During a Paul London/Akio match on Smackdown last week, Eddie ran in and beat both of them up within one minute of the match starting just to cut a promo and take away their spotlight. -Eddie getting pissed about having to put Benoit over at ECW: ONS, and intentionally giving Benoit a bad match.
