I think the general reaction is something along the lines of "Oh my god, Stan Hansen punched me in the face! I'm never wiping this blood of of me ever!"
-
It's so sad that you can't admit that he was at one time. Agreed, though, he shouldn't be a regular character on TV anymore but he was an important part of the attitude era.

I'm thinking he got up on the apron, but ducked down when Cena came after him, only the camera didn't catch him until he had already ducked. Yeah. The replay showed that Orton was just trying to catch Cena's attention and not actually attack him.

Agreed. Isn't that kick illegal during a match anyways? I seem to remember hearing somewhere that using the points of your boots was against the rules which is why wrestlers stomp with the bottom of their foot. That's funny. My girlfriend and I where thinking the kitten thing too.

The lack of Jeff Hardy after last week is strange. Any specific reason why or is he just doing Heat duty?

I've been download quite a bit with my crappy 56k connection and transferring my tape collection to DVD's so I've watched quite a bit or wrestling lately. Here's some recent stuff. Lou Thesz vs. Rikidozan for the NWA World Title 10-13-57 This is my first time seeing either guy actually wrestle and I absolutely loved it. I've always imagined Thesz as this stoic figure so watching him play coward heel in Japan was fun. The style difference compared to now is huge. I counted three full bumps in the match and each one involved the end of one of the three falls. I don't want to give away the ending just in case someone wants to watch this but I'll just say that Thesz's selling of Rikidozan's headlock that built to the finish was so awesome. I've never seen anything quite like it. According to the guy I downloaded this from, these two had a 60 minute draw the week before. I'd love to see that. Oh yeah, the video starts with clips of Rikidozan jogging with his students behind him (including one who's a head taller than the rest...), visiting America, and meeting Thesz and his wife at their home. The Funks vs. Stan Hansen & Terry Gordy 8-31-83 First of all let me start by saying that I adore Terry Funk and worship Hansen but I very literally can't stand Dory Funk Jr. I've never seen a match involving him that he didn't drag down someway and this is no exception. This is Terry's first retirement match so he's all riled up and awesome, Hansen just wants to beat the shit out of someone, Gordy's the cocky punk gaijin who wants to make a name for himself by beating the legendary Funk brothers, and Dory just wants to no sell everything and twist somebody's knee--slowly. Sadly, Dory spends most of the time in the ring for his team since they obviously want to build to the big Terry's retirement match hot tag. Hansen and Terry Funk are so awesome that nothing can drag this down. Crowd just goes apeshit for pretty much anything in this match, too. The Great Sasuke vs. Ultimo Dragon for the 8 Crown Titles 10-11-96 This is a rematch of the J Crown tournament final where Sasuke won the titles. I hate how almost all NJPW-style junior matches start. There's a bunch of random mat work that's obviously only there to fill time. You throw in a "Ultimo stands on his head and Sasuke is scared" comedy spot and one of those "run the ropes and miss a bunch of moves" indy respect standoff spot and I figured I'd hate this. Then Ultimo hits a brainbuster out of nowhere and shit gets serious. Sasuke is so great as the underdog champion facing against the more skilled Dragon. Ultimo outwits and beats on Sasuke for a minute or two until he gets caught with a few big shots himself. Ultimo finally says screw this and murders the champion with a top rope hurancanrana and a running powerbomb for the finish. And hey! There's Rey Misterio in the ring for some celebratory hugs. Actually this kind of reminds me of the 8 Crown match betwen Dragon and Rey except Sasuke got in more offense and Dragon had to work harder to keep Rey down.

Haas as the straight guy teaming with Rico because he wanted to fuck Jackie? Entertaining outside of the vomiting on camera. Shelton telling Haas he's going to kiss him on the lips if he loses his upcoming match all done to set up Ron Simmons Damn of the week? Forgettable comedy segment. This? Career ender.

Tiger bomb doesn't exist. And why would WWE call it a tiger driver instead of a double underhook powerbomb anyways?
-
They should hire that Brody lookalike.

Hey, remember when stuff like this was still funny? Yeah, those were fun times... But in all seriousness, I'm happy everything fell apart. I don't hate the Jackass crew but I had no interest in seeing them wrestle Umaga or anyone else for that matter.

Wins. Goldust and Vis have always been talented and Mark Henry has been since about '04. Anyways. Bid Daddy V needs to start splashing motherfuckers through tables with fork in hand like now.

Batista looks way too old to be wearing that. The hat more so than the shirt.

Has anyone else said this? Because I wouldn't believe her if she told me I had a dick. -

Is this show always this funny? They ran Mero's list and Finlay tried to rebut all the ones that had little to nothing to do with the WWE or drugs and so on and Nancy interrupted him to ask this scathing question: "Mr Finlay! Are these men pro wrestlers?!" "...yes." -

I thought Finlay came off more as someone who was pissed he couldn't argue straight and started attacking the other person instead. -

So... right now is my first time watching Nancy Grace. She completely clueless. I can't see how she's respected by anyone with at least a double digit IQ. -
It'd probably be in his best interest if it was Rey.

Didn't Holly & Rey both have surgery recently? Is there no way they could have gotten legal prescription drugs for that? -
You know, I've always wanted a Viscera push, but never at the loss of his shirt. Either way, this could still rule as long as they change the name. Big Daddy anything just sounds horrible.

The real question is "Why don't you?"

Teddy's great. He's athletic, charismatic, and an ass. What's not to like? Besides, it doesn't really matter, he'll be gone before they ever put him on TV anyways.

Outside of the occasional quickie month-long tag or cruiser runs I never book anything but long reigns for my champions. Looking at that link posted on the first page made me want to start an old WCW game from around '96 or so. I was going to try the '98 one but a few minutes of looking at the roster and seeing the PPV's I was coming off of via Wikipedia I figured it'd be more work than fun to get things to where I would consider decent.

You should have seen my old game where Batista held the World Heavyweight Title for two years before losing it via a fake injury. He also beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania and made him retire at Judgement Day. See... it can always be so much worse.

I play TEW '05. I can't imagine playing EWR anymore. I've gotten so used to the newer games. I've played the demo for '07 a couple of times, and dude's not lying about the difficulty. You have to book smarter and bad, unover wrestlers are more likely to have bad matches and angles. There are a few bugs here and there with '05 but it's not anything that's kept me away from playing it. As for '07, I have no idea.
