Kapout's right. Using the directional pad is so much easier than the thumb strap. It's possible to use the touch screen, but really, the lack of feedback hurts your control quite a bit.

All those are before my time, but my uncle owned a Colecovision Adam computer (which my grandmother still won't give me) and an Atari 2600.
