Uh, what? Benoit, Noble, heck even HHH when he wants? Yeah... don't ask me where I was going with that. I think I meant vanilla-ites only. But, yeah, I'd say his selling's arouind the league of Orton or Venis, maybe a little better.
-
OK, everyone else I can understand, but Orlando Jordan? Maybe it's my hate of him for beating WCW buy-out guys (esp. Kanyon) while jobbing to everyone else, but I find him incredible boring & generic in the ring. I don't get the Jordan love. His series with Kanyon was really, really good. Would have been nice if Kanyon had actually won a match, but still... He has really fun transitions, offense, and sells better than anyone on the roster other than London. He's definately better than the rest of the vanilla OWV guys (Cade, Jindrak, Dupree, Cena).

I've been trying to pimp this match for a while now, but no one seems to want to pay attention to me. Awesome match. Both Venis vs Orton Heat matches were really great. I wish I hadn't missed Venis/Batista last week. Anyways, at the moment I'm enjoying Benoit, Orton, Batista, Venis, and Haas. They seem to be the only people who are getting time to work and are actually doing something good with it. When they're allowed the time; Jordan, Rey, Chavo, Noble, London, & Eddie usually have good matches.

I was really enjoying the show at first, but after the third hour the wackiness and bad wrestling got boring. The lucha match and and Foley/Kawada are both good, though. What was the highest rated match in your opinion??? Foley/Kawada started off pretty bad but got really good towards the end. Other than the treatment of Foley and garbage wrestling as a whole I really liked it. The lucha match started off really good. Everybody did a short section with their respective opponent (man/man, woman/woman, mini/mini, trannie/trannie), which, other than the trannie comedy stuff, was all pretty good--or in the case of the mini's, really good. Later in the match, both the normal technos seemed off, but the rudo team held it together really well. I'd probably rate Foley/Kawada as ***1/2 and the lucha tag as ***, making it the best AAA match I've seen in a long while. Swank. I'm definately going to try and get a copy of that sometime.

I was really enjoying the show at first, but after the third hour the wackiness and bad wrestling got boring. The lucha match and and Foley/Kawada are both good, though. Does anybody know what up with Zebraman? In both Hustle 1 & 3 there were elaborate video packages that made it seem like there was a Zebraman movie or something. Not just a video promoting a wrestler. There was, like, a cast of characters and everything.

All those matches are on 3PW's "Broadcast from Hell" DVD of which the only match I enjoyed was Funk vs. Lawler.

Well, I watched the whole show. It was kind of fun. Hayashi & Spanky vs. TAKA & Low Ki: This didn't totally suck, but it definately wasn't all that good. One of those matches that's okay to watch once, but you'll never really want to watch it again. TAKA seemed to be wrestling a part-comedy match while everyone else was trying to be serious, plus he chewed gum thourgh the whole thing. AAA Mixed Match: Take out the parts with the Trannies and this is pretty awesome. Mascarita Sagrada rules the motherfucking everything. His tope rope hurancanrana to a Mini Abismo Negro on the outside was just fucking beautiful. Boy got some real air on that one. Gran Apache really impressed me--really everybody in this match was pretty good other than Sevilla and the weirdos. Foley/Monster Army promo was pretty cool. Foley pronounces Kawada's name wierdly. We see Kawada warming up in a dressing room. He does some pushups against a counter and kicks some dude in the ass. Rhodes vs. Cornio: The thrusting hustle chant thing is now officially annoying. This sucked. Cornio spent most of his time jawing with the crowd and the ref. At one point in the match he yelled "Hashimoto Baka!" and "D...D...T!" and did it then yelled "Ogawa Baka!" and "S...T...O!" and did one. Dusty got almost no offense in during this match and still won.... yeah. A video is shown which seems to point out that Zebraman is on a losing streak. He does a promo with Hashimoto. Then they show him visiting the zoo. He stops to talk to a zebra and a panda. Dude's kind of like a Japanese version of The Hurricane with the campiness and all the posing. Zebra Man vs. Tiger Jeet Singh: Singh gets a nice pop coming out. He goes to attack some of the oaudience with his wobbly little sword... and somebody's wearing an Austin "Fock Fear" shirt. Singh was a monster heel in Japan during the 70's, right? A very long, boring squash. Kind of like Dusty/Corino without the blood and the squashie actually losing instead of hitting an elbow drop and winning out of nowhere. Beatdown form TJS and Sabu ensues. Dusty does a Kevin Nash style walk in for the save and Corino's out after the baddies are run off. Funny bit as Sabu and some ring guys have to take apart a section of the railing so TJS can get out of the crowd since he can't step over it. Adamonster vs. Choshu: Adamo's fat ass actually does the worm on the way to the ring. He's actually kind of cool. If he got rid of some of his comedy stuff I'd dig him in a tag team with someone talented. He has some fun samoan offense. Anyways, the samoan gets squashed. Sold the lariat like death on a plate. Monster Army promo. Hall & Nash look very un Hall & Nash-ish. They don't know who Hashimoto & Ogawa are. They laugh when someone (Sakata?) refers to OH Gun! as Pork & Chicken. Promo with Ogawa & Hash. Mark Coleman & Dan Bobish vs. Ohtani & Wataru Sakata: I don't even know who Sakata is and I've never seen Coleman & Bobish wrestle. To say I came into this match with very low expectations is an understatment. And what the hell did Ohtani do to himself? He looks so... happy and Peewee Hermanish. Bobish works sort of like a hobo's Ray Traylor. Coleman, on the other hand looked pretty good. I could see him having a good match with someone really good. I'd say I liked this as much as the opener, if not more. Pimpenella walks out of the ladies bathroom and hits on Bobish & Coleman and kisses the dude that went out to the ring with them. Intermission. Announcers talk. Two girls in bikini's dance and stuff. Announcers talk some more. Guy in a thong with sparkles on his head and eyeliner dances and tries to sing and dance. He does the Hustle thrust, like twelve times... you really don't want to see his package flying around like.... seriously. Garbage Match: Kanemaru and two other guys have this elaborate dance routine thingy going on. He's also wearing a a bright orange football jersey or something. Sabu and Awesome come out to ECW's old theme. The one that starts off with some guy growling "Extreme!....." I don't know which is Karuda & which is Honma. The two guys that came out with Kanemaru are already pretty involved in the match. Y'know I don't want to sit through this--weapon shots, strikes, and a couple of dives here and there--for twelve minutes. Fast-foward, love me. Ogawa comes out and does a promo. Video package for the Triple Crown Titles and then for Kawada vs. Foley. They signed the Contract with quill feather pens. Mick says he's going to give his barbed wire bat to Kawada many times all over his body. Kawada disrespects Foley who gets pissed off and attacks somebody with Barbie. Kawada vs. Foley It's sort of weird seeing Foley come out with no pop at all. Foley does a promo in the ring saying he's not going to use his barbed-wire bat. Kawada looks very bored for the first part of the match. He's doesn't really sell Foley's offense at all. Foley goest to get the bat and Kawada looks like he's about to shit his pants. He points to the ref to get it out of the ring. The tease spots with the bat are really good, but the match is really making Mick look like a total pussy. He can't beat Kawada with normal wrestling and has to resort to a weapon, but Kawada can always stop him with a kick or suplex. Good pop for Socko. Ending's kind of weird. Kawada hits his enziguri thing and Foley kicks out. Foley sits up and looks around, dazed so Kawada just punts him in the face and pins him. Ogawa video package. Hall & Nash promo. They talk about the NWO without actually mentioning it. Outsiders vs. OH Gun!: Hall & Nash come out with ring girls... one's dressed like a nurse. Hall has the word "Kliq" on the back of his tights... heh. Ogawa's ring gear is fucked up. Look for RRR's sig if you haven't seen it. Outsiders do the whole rock, paper, scissors thing. Hall makes fun of Hash's weight and does the "sumo stance" thing. He taunts a lot. Throws the toothpick... Hall and Hash do a really crappy sequence where Hall outwrestles Hash and slaps him a lot. Shinya has the same look on his face as Kawada did during the begginning of his match. Somebody needs to tell Hall that when your being shown up by Kevin Nash you need to just give it up. Both way oversell on Hashimoto's chops. Afterwards, OH Gun! cut a promo, are interrupted by Takada, and then bring a guy in a cowboy hat to the ring with them. They do the 1, 2, 3, Hustle, Hustle, Hustle! thing.

I ordered the show from Lynch last week. I should be getting it some time soon.
-
LMAO. I can see the AAA guys in the hexaring. I really can't imagine seeing Jeff Jarrett in it at all. Well, I'd say Jarrett's more talented than about 80% of AAA's non-mini's rosters. Besides, while you might know, Jarrett, Michael Shane, and David Young have all wrestled in a six-sided ring before in AAA.

Best. Edgespear. Ever. It actually looked like it hurt.
-
...match seems really rushed.

I was just going to ignore him, but ya'll plan works too. I called it. ...see, I can be mean and funny, too.

Y'know, if they do plan on this they do have time to build Jindrak up before the PPV.
-
This is really funny. Seriously. *crosses fingers and hope that Val Venis gets thrown on SD! to fued with Eddie.*

What does it's Spanish-ness have to do with the fact that it's an American channel. The Galavision channel in Mexico is different than the one here.
-
Ultimo recently did a show for CMLL. Will Galavision not be able to show that?
-
Lucha comes on Galavision comes on at 1PM and 1AM Central time on Saturdays and lucha re-runs (shows from last year, I believe) come on at noon on Sundays.

I love wrestling. My interest in WWE may wane from time to time, but when I get bored with it there's always something interesting going on somewhere in the world.
-
Jamal may suck and all... but even if Kawada completely quater-asses it, Jamal/Kawada will be soooo much better than Kawada/Mutoh again.
-
Am I the only one who thnks this is really neat?
-
Well, the rest of his post did lose all of its credibility with that comment.
-
I looked up the date and it's 3/26/95 - Ultimo Dragon vs. Ultimate Dragon (Brett Como). Can't help you with any info outside of that, though. Wasn't there a Black Dragon guy from Stampede that did SSP's to the outside. I think he wrestled in Japan, too.
-
He hasn't been heel since the Chief Morley days Venis and Storm wrestled as heels against the Dudleys on Heat the week before Wrestlemania. Venis, Storm, Stevie, and Rhyno switch back and forth depending on their opponent and whether or not the WWE need a face or heel jobber.
