If they hadn't squashed Nitro last week, him winning and giving Cena a good fight would be a good way to keep his momentum going from the ladder match last night. Would Jeff Hardy work?

Ken Shamrock (IYH: DX) Shane McMahon (KOTR 2000, where whoever got the pin in the 6-man would be champ) Scott Steiner (Royal Rumble and NWO 03) <- WWE only Finlay (No Mercy 06)

Wrestler costs don't get changed during the season. A lot of guys increased in price before hand, though, with fewer decreasing. Fantasy rules are an issue for unique situations and matches where an aribitrary decision is required. There is usually little consistency between rulings. Like they'll count foreign object shots in a HIAC match, but not in a Last Ride match.

What? JR Smith and Nate Robinson were already rolling around in the fans and the real catalyst was Collins' flagrant. Melo's punch caused Jeffires to chase him and made the situation worse, but it was out of control well before that. Calling it unprovoked is a little bit of a stretch since he was swinging at the guy who gave the flagrant, even if it occurred well after the fact. I think they came down too hard on Melo if anything, but I understand the "wanting to set an example" mentality.

I'm curious who actually wins the BR. No one really jumps out as a clear winner.

4th place finish in the group, 1216 overall. Pretty average showing. My moral victory was finishing in the weekly top 20 on the D2D week. I'm somewhat disappointed with my return to Fantasy after winning the whole thing in Season 6, but I've accepted that will never happen again.

Hey, the Rockets beat a mediocre team without T-Mac today. This is an improvement from last year where they couldn't beat anyone without him. Hopefully his back stops spazzing out and we can get back to where we left off through Game 20. I honestly think with T-Mac healthy and Yao playing like he is, the Rockets can hang with everybody except the Suns who have everyone on the Rockets blown up by the 3rd quarter due to their running. I'm not saying they could definitely beat everyone in a 7-game playoff series, but I think they'd have a legit shot against all teams not from Arizona.

I don't get the Angle/Taker hate, but whatever floats your boat. I think it's the best match WWE has put out in years, at least going back to Eddie/Lesnar at NWO 04. That ladder match here was choice, though. Guys get props for bringing character development and a logical story into a match that should've been a huge mess. Instead, they made everything work, and probably with very little time to prepare. This was not your typical WWE ladder spotfest, and was much better because of it.

Genuine? That UT imitation is awful.

At least Carmelo's punch sounded good. Still only like .4 DET/IND.

Man, the Rockets are dead without T-Mac, even with Yao playing like a beast. The last half and both OT's of Friday's game were painful to watch. Yao and Battier were playing well, but no one else seemed to care. Why Rafer Alston was handling the ball at the end of the 4th quarter was beyond me. He practically gave the game away with his ill-advised shots and careless turnovers. Even though Yao made some pressure shots, Houston still needs McGrady to go to in those situations... And so Rafer Alston doesn't have to handle the ball for more than a couple seconds at a time.

Jarrett will return as a face in a tag match, and Sting will be his partner. Jarrett will turn on Sting during or right after the match. Christian will get the NWA title again, and Joe will end Christian's undefeated streak to get the belt. AJ Styles will be moved back up to the title picture at somepoint. Homicide will enjoy singles success when LAX breaks up, possibly including an X title run.

RVD will continue to bitch about WWE, but when Vince throws lots of money at him over the summer, he'll re-sign.

You know, I might have to change "funniest moment" to Kurt Angle putting Don West in the anklelock.

Some great ones that have been missed: The Final Countdown (Bryan Danielson) Just Close Your Eyes (Christian) At Last (Christian) Metalingus (Edge) Spartan X (Misawa) Kaze Ni Nare (Minoru Suzuki) And whatever Muhammad Hassan's theme was called. Daivari uses it now.

The John Woo is done by SUWA.

Shuji Kondo did this to Kaz Hayashi off the top rope over the summer. My favorite moves in wrestling now are the simple ones that look really vicious. I'm digging KENTA's Go 2 Sleep and Bryan Danielson's UFC elbows. I wish more people would come up with moves like this or at least head droppy moves instead of adding more flips to existing moves.

What? They buried him after he lost "his image." He jobbed to Super Crazy a lot and everyone in the company verbally ran him down. Now that he found his roids again, he's back to midcard status.

Sucking in the ring doesn't necessarily prevent hot girlfriendness. Look at David Flair for a while. And Test. -
WWE would create an ECW brand. Finlay, Jeff Hardy, and Sabu would all (re)join WWE and have varying degrees of success. DX and the Hardy Boyz would be re-united. UT would job clean twice on ppv, once in a total squash. RVD would hold 2 main titles at the same time. ROH guys like Kendrick, London, and Punk would be pushed as serious threats. Dave F'n Taylor would return to the ring. That SD would be the best wrestling show on tv despite losing Benoit, Angle, Mysterio, JBL, Orton, MNM and Batista over the course of the year for months at a time.

His match with Cena earlier this year was alright. Anyway, I'm not saying Carlito is bad just because he's having bad matches. He looks like he doesn't want to be out there. His punches have looked worse than usual, he shows no fire during face comebacks, his springboard moves have become slow and sloppy... He really looks like he doesn't care. His matches the last two weeks have been perfect examples of this. The end match with Big Vis might not be good, but that doesn't excuse his horrible worked punches, terrible execution of springboard moves (like the lionsault two weeks ago), and his emotionless comeback two weeks ago and emotionless hot tag this week. Compare him to Chris Masters right now. Masters isn't putting on any great matches either, but he looks like he's trying out there. He shows confidence and arrogance in the ring, tries to play his bully character well by attacking Lawler and Torrie, and generally seems like he cares about getting a reaction. I don't see any of that from Carlito right now, and it's sad, because the guy has potential. -

I think lack of motivation is in fact the main cause of his low-quality ring work lately. He had a tag title run early in the year, was a getting a moderate push as a midcarder until Jeff Hardy came back, and now he's fallen off the map completely. He did get what looked to be an upper midcard feud with Orton, but that turned out just to be a short program to get Orton some heat back after his Hogan feud. It's clear now that all that was designed to do was give Orton a decent win before moving him on to a better program with Edge and DX, while they never had any intention of building up Carlito. Compounding that problem is the fact that a very motivated Jeff Hardy returned and took over the upper midcard face role easily. -
At least it took 20 whole games before T-Mac had back spasms this year. Hopefully the Rockets can hold on long enough without him to stay in contention, but I won't hold breath.

I can't believe people still hate Cena. Well, actually I can, but I think it's stupid. Other than his bad attempts at comedic promos (which he doesn't write), he's been great all year. He was entirely responsible for the success of his WM and ONS matches. He had a really good series with Edge, culminating with a very fun TLC match. I'm actually very interested in his program with Umaga, although I know interest will vary by how much people care about Umaga. I really don't see what's wrong with the guy. He's over, can work a crowd, brings it for the big matches... What else do you people want? And seriously, putting the title back on HHH???? What has the IWC come to? You know you'll all be bitching when HHH gets the belt back, turns heel, and feuds with Shawn Michaels for the 93548th time.
