If Rey wins a spotfest ladder match, then doesn't mention the angle again, he'll be fine. Eddie's heat can't be destroyed, as he's been jobbed out for the last year and still gets a strong reaction. Rey should never be allowed to write another angle again, though.

Yeah, but Simon's not treated as an upper midcarder. WWE actually expects us to think Christian's a threat, even though he never wins.

I don't think Flair's 16 title reigns is so bad, since he's been wrestling for almost 30 years. The Dudley's 18 title runs in 10, however, is atrocious. Booker T's 5 WCW title reigns isn't too great considering he got at least four of them in less than a year. In general, I'd say quality over quantity when it comes to title runs.

Wow, seems like a lot of people cared about this show... Rey is completely burying Eddie in this feud. He made Eddie look stupid on the mic, and he still won't job to him. The funniest part of this segment was Dominick's reactions. I was waiting for Tazz to make a joke about his head being buried in his mom's ample chest for 10 minutes. Is there a bigger glorified jobber than Christian? And the ring work in this show was terrible. Booker/Mercury, Orton/Kamala, and Mexicools/Jobbers were all just awful. It really looked like no one on the roster gave a shit about this show. I didn't get the vibe of anyone trying to do anything well.

I also forgot Ready to Rumble... Here's my smark card.

I just thought they'd like the majority of the SD brand viewers to know that a title (won't say major title) changed hands. Hopefully he at least gets a promo or something. If this title change goes unacknowledged on the A-show, I'll go on record and say that this is officially the lowest point of CW wrestling since before WCW brought the CW title into play in 1996.

Also, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. Stupid, but I laughed my ass off for most of it.

Was Dusty Rhodes always doing commentary after hard drinking, or was he just legitimately crazy?

I'd vote Leyla for no other reason than she low-blowed Earl Hebner on his last WWE tv appearance. -

The match listing sounds decent this week. Why isn't the new CW champ wrestling on SD, though? I know WWE doesn't care about that division at all, but you'd think Nunzio would get one A-show title defense before going back to Velocity.

Sorry if this was already asked, but I don't want to look through 62 pages. What was the date of the Steiners vs. Bret/Owen match that gets lots of praise?
-
Considering they didn't boo the shit out of Ice Train and loved Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, I think the whole racist hick argument is invalid.
-
Will the Mexicools get no-sold again this week?
-
Ok, hold on... First of all, the match was only like 28 minutes, but that's not really important. Secondly, the only noticeable boos were at the announcement of the second overtime. Yeah, they were kinda dead most of the match, but they didn't really shit on it. Their silence could also be attributed to the fact that neither guy was a clearly defined face or heel. Check their reactions to Harlem Heat/Steiners, Rey/Ultimo, and Eddie/Flair which were super hot. This is one of the worst cases of smarks blowing something way out of proportion. Watch the entire show, and you'll realize they were a really good crowd for 2/3 of the event.

Totally agree with the Jericho debut. I loved the Benoit/Jericho vs. Austin/HHH match before I heared about the quad tear. You couldn't help but feel good for the faces winning. Also loved the Angle/Benoit cage match with Austin on commentary.

Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell on Raw JBL vs. Undertaker at Summer Slam last year

A month ago, it could've been Shelton, but now you'd pretty much have to turn someone. Hulk Hogan is too old, and there aren't any faces even close to the ME. Is the Big Show the #3 face on Raw?
-
What are the Heat results for this week? I won't bother going on about how bad Raw was, as it looks like that's been covered.

26 national TV games for the Rockets. That'll be good for me. Too many Knicks games on national TV for my liking, though.

I thought everyone saw the MNM title win from a mile away. It was pretty clear they were going to win since Eddie was definitely going to turn on Rey soon. Foley's first WWF title win was surprising, but not as it happened since Tony S. kinda ruined it. Disco Inferno winning the TV title in 97 also seemed random.

Nunzio over Paul London on Velocity. That's as out-of-nowhere as it gets. Foley winning the WWF title at Summer Slam 99 was kind of odd.
