Now in the Mummy Returns opening sequence, it doesn't really connect well since all of a sudden, Mayathus is a villain. I know The SK was made after the MR, but since I'm referring to the movies' chronology, they don't tie in well nor make sense unless Mayathus's wife died or something. and The Mummy Returns (I'm used to movies coming in trilogies nowadays)?
