Your First Live Event
Lil' Bitch replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes's topic in The WWE Folder
First live event was Wrestlemania 9 (Yeah, I know it sucked, but I still enjoyed it since they hardly come to Las Vegas as it is), I was only 10 at the time. I was sitting front row on the upper level with my dad. Tickets for that were $50 each. You can even see me as they show Yokozuna up close after he won the WWF Championship from Bret. Nothing really special happened when they cut away to do skits or interviews from what you see on the videotape. Bam Bam Bigelow Vs. Kamala was supposed to be part of the card, but it was scrapped for whatever reason. Tito Santana defeated Papa Shango in a dark match. I also think you should go. The experience is great since you have that interaction with other fans plus what you see winds up to be 10x better than what you see on TV. The house show I went was WAYYYYY better (even without having the pyro, Titantro, etc.) than the day after with the live broadcast (the episode where the Rock made his special apperance on the Highlight Reel). -
No shame in having Ivory there, she's a great worker.

I was going to say something to make you feel better and then I noticed it was the RAW brand so nothing can save you... About Jericho, he does house shows with his (ghetto version of the) Highlight Reel and most likely his guest will be someone who doesn't have a match either. The one I went to, his guest for the night was the Hurricane. It was an entertaining segment. Jericho cut his usual heel promo (city crowd bashing), introduced Hurricane, they traded insults to each other and then got into a little brawl that culminated in Jericho kicking Shane in the Hurri-balls before making a hasty retreat. I guess he's taking a long break from actually being in matches for house shows. I'd say the match on the card that would most likely turn out to be the best one would be: = loads of potential Stone Cold could always appear. I hear him and Bischoff are appearing at house shows now. *Wishes Eric would have been at the house show he went to...

Well considering that Invasion wasn't even supposed to happen originally plus you got McMahon's ego there... I always found it funny that Goldberg didn't want to do house shows yet that's how he got his infamous high-numbered Streak in the first place. I never liked Goldberg, the 3 move wonder boy that worked 2 minute matches every fucking week!

Order in: Nash HHH Jericho Orton Goldberg HBK Order out: Nash Orton Goldberg HHH HBK Jericho is your NEW World Heavyweight Champion
-
Armageddon: HHH Vs. HBK - Had a feeling HHH was going to get the title back, but I didn't want to see it happen since Shawn had just won a month prior in "oh so emotional" Survivor Series ending after HHH didn't let HBK celebrate his SS victory. Kurt Angle Vs. The Big Show - I seriously though Kurt wasn't going to win (although I was going for him) because of his knee surgery. Bad Blood: HHH Vs. Nash - Figured HHH was going to job the title to his other Klique buddy. I was shocked (and glad) when Nash got buried too.

When Jericho arrived at the building in his car and obviously blew us all off by driving straight down the back arena ramp, we all noticed in the passenger's seat was... ...Shane Helms. O_O
-
The least they could do before the Kane / RVD match starts is have a decent build-up video since RVD has been friends with Kane since January...
-
What's a bigger insult: Randy winning or HHH busting a WM 2000 with SS? As for Randy's push dying, I'm saying no. I'm expecting Orton to eliminate HBK somehow since Shawn was interested in working a program with him and they want to superpush him plus they want him to get over with his Legend Killer label (which Brock originally had that).

CC didn't post this? Shocking...

Those title defenses got the shaft Not really and yes.
-
Damn, I was hoping Zack was going to be horribly slaughtered by Brock like with what happened to Spanky last week...
-
Well, Linda didn't actually let him in, the door was...unlocked. Honestly, I'd rather see Test Vs. Stiener # 345123687 than Shane Vs. Eric.
-
Kane whose upset because he's a freak. The same guy who told us last year it was cool to be a freak. *sweat drop falls

Well, Kurt did admit about the neck problem at the WM XIX when asked by a journalist about the rumor. It was after that, Cole/Tazz mentioned it on SD. Kurt was then interviewed by WWE RAW Magazine later on and said he risked paralysis or death by toughing it, but didn't want to miss out on Wrestlemania (finally working to the top by main eventing it and missing it because of bad luck)? He was concerned about that experimental surgery and said that if it didn't work out, he wanted to give 100% percent in his thought to be last WWE match. I'm glad he went through with it. He certainly deserved to have the spot and he did help put on a outstanding match.

Find out on the next exciting episode of WWE RAW! Next Monday night on Spike TV, 9 / 8 CT BE THERE!

Val and Test, even though I personally don't like either of them, I'll admit they put on good matches. They had a good match at the house show I went to back in June. Believe me I was shocked and was certainly better than any Test/Steiner match I ever saw. Maybe it just depends on who Test is against. *Wrestling style theories are more than welcome to added...

I miss WWE PPVs being held in Las Vegas. Fondly remembers Wrestlemania 9 and No Way Out 2001.

Greasing, disgusting, brutalizing since 1994. -
Basically, after putting on great matches on PPVs since No Way Out, two of SD's finest get the shaft for... Dudleyz / La Resistance (which I hope better be the Heat match). *groans

The Colossus of Hollywood Blvd.? :S

Okay, lemme rephrase that, those were the original plans. Bob (Barron) and Dangerous A can back me on this.

Another Dream Match: The Punisher Vs. The Super Shredder

I'm VERY sure Lesnar was going to retain the title until WM and Angle would have won the RR so Angle / Lesnar @ WM would have still happened. Thanks to TBS, once again, we had another fluke booking that changed the course of WWE history. Hogan and/or Vince knew they couldn't pull off a good wrestling match since they are poor workers, that's the reason why it was a STREET FIGHT. With Angle / Lesnar, you got a great and pure wrestling match.
