Its not really his fault though. Its always been a belt for midcarders, but as history ditacts, just about everybody whose won the IC title went on to become the WWE Champion. Austin already said his next match will be his last match and would like to do the dream match with Goldberg at WM although The Rock and Brock Lesnar have also said they each would like to do a match with Goldberg at that event. Rematch in Rock's case.

Sunday Night HEAT preview for Aug. 3, 2003 Can Goldust get back at Steven Richards for his "Stevie Night HEAT" comments? Goldust will have the opportunity this week, as he goes one on one with Victoria's unusual friend. Meanwhile, Lance Storm will be in action, trying once again to prove that he's anything but boring. Also in action this week will be Maven. And Rodney Mack battles Tommy Dreamer! In addition, we'll look back at Shane McMahon's shocking returning to RAW, and we'll have an update on SummerSlam! All this and more this Sunday night at 7/6 CT on TNN.

Anybody know what that opera-like music they played during the lookback on the Kane/Linda segment?
-
Holy shit!
-
His nose?
-
^ Yeah, it was during the Corporate Ministry. Unfortunately, Undertaker won it the night Owen died due to a fast count. Taker only held the title for a month before losing it back to Austin the night after KOTR.
-
Yeah, I heard it, it's alright (the one I heard was an instrumental). I'm guessing they went with Finger 11 because the song had lyrics with it. I like songs that have lyrics more anyway.

Just about everybody loves Kurt Angle so you knew the babyface turn was going to happen eventually. I thought it was stupid for them to turn him back heel the SD after Armageddon.
-
I was refering to Ultimo Dragon being like Tajiri when it comes to cutting promos (talking in Japanese) since Ultimo doesn't do them and could wind up doing them that way.
-
It wasn't his fault besides Austin had the title for WAY TOO LONG (even with a two week break).
-
You can't blame Ultimo at all. He gets a great reaction from the crowd when he comes out. Sure, he doesn't have mic skills (Has he even cut a promo before in WCW?), but I don't he needs them unless you want him to be like Tajiri. The guy's been gone since 1998 after his career almost ended from a botched arm surgery. I'm just sad WWE doesn't know what to do with him because even though his arm only works at 50%, he can still give put on great matches and could possibly pull some MOTNs if he was given more ring time along with another great contender on a PPV, on SD. But if you stick him on Velocity or dark matches, how are people suppose to care if they can't see the guy?
-
Yeah, that was total bullshit. Everyone knows Gunn / Noble should have been on Heat instead.
-
But then again, it did take Rey Mysterio 10-11 months after his debut match to finally win some singles gold. Mysterio STILL hasn't won a match on a PPV yet.

I like the idea. Whatcha got in mind though? Unfortunately because of WWE booking, most likely after the handshake, Chris Jericho and Canadian X would beat down Bret with Canadian Y & Z or Wrestler X and Y to make the save. Yeah, I can imagine after Bret gives his farewell speech, he shows up later in the event (ala WM 13) to interfere in the HBK / Y2J match and helps Jericho win by cracking Michaels over the head with a chairshot and then after the King of The World gets the pinfall / submission victory, Bret raises Jericho's arm. That would be freaking awesome. I marked out when he returned, but for a man who almost DIED, that was the best they could have come up for him? And now, I don't think he'll ever get away from jobbing on Velocity.
-
^ That could have been perfectly said last year!
-
Its a conspiracy I tell ya. Vince is ruining a great wrestler through this treatment. He went so far to even take Ultimo out of the SummerSlam CW match even though Ultimo didn't do anything wrong!

Off-topic: You wouldn't believe how happy I was when that reign finally ended.
-
Sure, the build-up could have been better, but I liked how they portrayed it in the video package on the PPV. The fact of John Cena defeating The Undertaker, especially if he done it clean would give him huge bragging rights along with another add on his "resume" so to say to make him look like a credible threat. Well, his first and third titles win were tarnished by blatant outside interference. I really enjoyed his 2nd reign since he won it at WM and retained it until SummerSlam. I didn't mind his last reign, but the whole "you will respect me" crap got really annoying. I'm just saying out of 12 years of service and after headling TV show after TV show, PPV after PPV, he would have had at least 5-6 title reigns. I think 1998 could have been his year also if not for Stone Cold, who I think should have lost at SummerSlam. Can't blame Rocky for his high number, his first three wins were from Mick Foley. Lost the title twice to Stone Cold, won the title twice by pinning Kurt Angle.

Akeem sounded like a bad mix of Albert (big dancing white guy) and John Cena (guy wanting to be black). EDIT: The same could be said for Lesnar.
-
As much as I like Chris Jericho, I had no clue that he would one day become the WWE Champion and headline WM. (I took a break from WWE back in 2001. Last episode I saw was when Stone Cold threw Angle's medals into the river and I didn't get back into until the last SD before WM where Jericho did the Walls of Jericho on HHH on top of the announce table.)
-
Wasn't Akeem white?
-
How? By almost killing Al Snow in his first match?
-
Yes, but Undertaker was already hurt and then he got "hit" with steel chain along with the F-U. The loss would have been believable. Yeah, but he's the only who does that variation of the move. ALL that time and he's only a FOUR time WWE Champion.

What I was trying to say is that Angle / Mack won't happen to begin with. Mack is still lucky to even be on TV.
