Who would you prefer winning at SSlam?

Can somebody please merge this with the my Cena / Orton thread? Because I think it would be cool if somebody broke Nash's record since I don't see Cena being WWE Champion for 3 years + straight.

Is there a VOB Editing Program?

Inspired by the "Shitty Scenes in Great Movies" thread, is there a program that will let me cut out a shitty scene in a movie (after copying the VOB files of course) without having to do the VOB converting to MPG2 to converting back to VOB format stuff so I can just burn the VOB to a DVD once I'm done editing the film?

I'd like to see them do The Punjabi Prison match again, while the first time wasn't a classic and neither will an re-attempt, the structure was just so awesome to see.

    WWE announces 2007 DVDs

Benoit / Orton was one of my favorite main events of all-time. Its definitely in the top 10 of best SummerSlam matches and I'll be absolutely devastated if they do edit out THE MAIN EVENT. Then we know for sure what to expect from the SummerSlam Anthology.

    SuperBad

I definitely got my money's worth this weekend. The best part is they didn't even need a script for this fucking movie because it was just so down to Earth. We laughed so hard because we all could totally relate to what they were talking about since that's the kind of stuff that me and my buddies would conversate on a day to day basis. They NEED to make Superbadder!

    The Dark Knight

I have a bad feeling about this, but I'm trying to hold judgment until the film comes out. Maybe Nolan will actually go back to the beginning and Joker's origin won't be explained at all since he's just some crazy guy.

    Enter the Dragon

At least they were considerate enough to change the title. Maybe it will turn out to be like Bruce Li's masterpiece, "Exit The Dragon"

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

I appreciate what Flair was done for the business, but I lost a lot of respect for him when his book came out. Too negative as he talks shit about Savage, Hart, Foley, etc. Just really unneccessary to do. I'll still surprised for the movies that Cena was a better draw than Austin. Talk about a Twilight Zone moment.

    SAW IV

I forgot to mention the DC of SAW III will be a 2 disc set so yeah even more extras. I didn't like Jeff at all. He was a completely unlikeable character. As much as I liked SAW III, he hurt the film for me because I probably would have enjoyed it more if there was a different main character. Just wasn't the kind of protagonist I could get into. Although I did like Jeff's game of letting him be in control, being in Jigsaw mode so to speak about deciding the lives of others. I would have let the bitch froze to death. I would have saved the judge. Still iffy on Timothy though. Live and Let Die! In an unreleased deleted scene, Amanda kills Det. Matthews by repeatedly stabbing him with his own knife. Right before she finishes him, she says Then she burys the blade in his neck and retracts it. I figured that's what happened anyway since Eric kept talking shit by calling her a "junkie bitch, nothing, Jigsaw wannabe" as she was leaving only for her to turn around and come back towards him before they stopped the flashback because of course that really pissed her off. I'll be glad if she didn't though, as much of a douchebag he turned out to be, I really loved Det. Matthews. His badass character was easy to like, plus he didn't have a problem beating the ever loving shit out of an old man dying of cancer! Maybe the writers will pull a Vince Russo and Now THAT would be a Holy Shit! ending for me. I figured Amanda killed him too if he was not dead already from loss of blood since . Not hard to catch up to somebody slowly crawling away. Dr. Gordon's fate is fucking annoying! Just show a God damn corpse with a foot missing so the debate can end or mention his body being found or something!

Early Rumor as to who will play THHHor

But I thought Daredevil was good! Then again, that was after I had seen it in its true form with the Director's Cut. There is a Captain America movie in the works set to be released in 2009. Rumor has it Paul Walker will be Cap though... I'll take HHH as Thor. Better than him being Conan.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

So Kevin Kelly came into my store the other day. He was a pretty cool guy. I guess he was in town for some kind of convention. About Booker, I was actually at one of the news site and they had at the bottom for one of those fake news links saying KING BOOKER SAYS HE'LL QUIT WWE OVER JOBBING TO HHH AT SUMMERSLAM! BREAKING NEWS! About Benoit, I'm sure he wasn't exactly thrilled about having to go to ECW.

    SAW IV

The current version of SAW III is the Unrated version. While the Unrated versions of SAW 1 & 2 are the "director's cut" of those films, it is NOT the case for the third film. This Director's Cut is the true definitive version of SAW III that will run 120 minutes and they've changed the ending for the 2nd time in this one. I think they were pressured to get gorier because of Hostel.

    The Old School questions thread

Bret had a great slow build to being heel. He did an interview right before his Its Time match with Sid where he basically was getting jealous of HBK so I'm assuming had the planned WM 13 match happened, it would have been face Michaels Vs. heel Bret. My question is though was Bret's heel run planned already when he made his comeback to the WWF in late 96? I'm assuming it was to set-up a Rock / Michaels feud later down the road seeing how The Rock got in HBK's face backstage about it at Judgment Day 2000.

Its the WWE version of Final Destination!
  21. ^ Really? I always thought it was going to be RVD Vs. Mysterio at WM 21, but Rob got hurt so Eddie took his place and the story continued (seeing how Rey got the tag belts back with his new partner). I do remember there was talk of RVD Vs. JBL for ONS II since they were being protective of Cena (I wouldn't have minded Van Dam becoming World Heavyweight Champion after Frog Splashing JBL), but that was before JBL suffered his untimely back injury, which is a shame because I was DYING to see Bradshaw beat Rey's ass at Judgment Day that year. Speaking of WM 2000, The Rock definitely should have won there with the Backlash finish being been done there instead too. That would have been GREAT! Randy or Kurt should have definitely won here. Rey becoming World Heavyweight Champion = worst WM moment ever IMO Can't believe I totally forgot about this. Not only was it a piss poor match with a shitty finish (Orton losing the title a month after winning it? WTF?), but HHH pretty much KILLED almost all of Randy's credbility as a main eventer. Agreed. The ONE time I was actually begging for a DQ finish.

    SAW IV

I liked SAW II and III although I think Part 2 is the strongest of the three overall. Both are worth watching. I think people were turned off by Part 3 because and the fact they did a lot of gore in it, which I think was inspired from Hostel.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

Randy Orton defeated Booker T in a forgettable match on RAW during Orton's run as IC Champ. With the exception of Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero, and John Cena, Randy Orton has defeated just about everybody in the business: Ric Flair, The Undertaker, HBK, HHH, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Edge, Chris Jericho, Booker T, RVD, Batista, Mick Foley, Scott Steiner, Christian, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Jerry Lawler, Sgt. Slaughter, and Dusty Rhodes. Although I don't recall Orton ever facing the Big Show or JBL so I guess you can add them to exceptions as well. I don't remember him ever beating Goldberg in a singles match, but he did beat him in a handicapped match. It was Evolution Vs. Goldberg, 3 Vs. 1 so I guess that would count. They have this thing with Orton that if he RKOs a legend, that counts as a kill since he couldn't have an actual match with them for whatever reason (Jake The Snake for example)
