It looks good so I'll check it out.

The OAO Victory Road 2007 Thread

I'm pretty excited for the main event. Haven't seen that stipulation used since IYH 3.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

I can't believe they're going to edit out Chris Benoit's matches on future event re-releases! Its not right what he did, but that doesn't mean other wrestlers should have to pay for his mistake!

Live Free Or Die Hard (Die Hard 4) trailer

I've been informed that the current DVD re-releases of Die Hard 1, 2, and 3 suck and that The Five Star Collection is the best DVD set to get of the Die Hard Trilogy. Although I'm assuming there will be an Ultimate Edition set once Die Hard 4 is released on DVD at the end of the year.

    Transformers The Movie

I'm aware of that. He didn't die so I would have expected him to show up (and re-unite with Black-out) with the rest of the Deceptions when they form up to go after the All-Spark. Jesus Christ, its just a movie. Relax on the flaming. Everybody has their opinions.

Yeah. 619 left off at WM XIX.

    HD DVD/Blu-Ray

Blu-Ray is better quality, has more disc space to hold data, and has more support from studios (which means it will have more movies to be watched on its format) so I would go with Blu-Ray. However, I myself am only going for the bigger disc space so longer movies can fit on one disc rather than having to switch discs to watch the same damn movie (Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut for example). Blu-Ray will also be great for TV shows because they'll able to fit A LOT more episodes, hell maybe even an entire season on one disc!

Bobby Lashley - Is he underrated?

No. His popularity, in-ring skills, and mic skills don't justify his main eventer position. The only thing he was ever good at was feuding with Finlay.

    Blade Runner '82 cut

There'll be a 5-Disc set coming out in the fall, with the Original Theatrical Cut, the International Theatrical Cut, the 1992 Director's Cut, and the new Final Cut. More news at Comic Con. Fucking shit, who wants to sit and watch FOUR different versions of the same damn film? I know Blade Runner's a classic and all, but that's kind of going overkill on one movie.

Not much of a Potter fan, but I must say Alan Rickman is so awesome as Professor Snape.

That's good to know. I'm looking forward to a Mysterio / Edge feud.

    The Old School questions thread

I'm sure there was talk of it, but it probably got nixed because Austin wasn't comfortable getting back in the ring to wrestle an unsafe worker.

    Wrestling books

I think Bret Hart's book in out due in September and Jericho's in October. I can't wait for both! Its a good read, but not worth a purchase IMO. Its definitely the weakest of the Foley trilogy. He has some fun stories like his meeting with Adam West and there's a lot of stuff in there non-wrestling related. The most disappointing part is basically him getting all excited and detailed throughout the book about the One Night Stand match (which I didn't think was all that good to be honest) and then he just briefly mentions the Flair feud in the last chapter instead of stretching that for a couple of dozen more pages because that's a lot of material he chose not to use. I would love that have read the same type of thoughts and details that he had on the Edge & Foley / Funk / Dreamer match for the feud with Ric Flair since those thoughts (considering the real life heat) was one of the main reasons why I wanted to get the book before I actually read it. Ugh! Such wasted potential reading material!

    Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was one of my favorite wrestlers, I'm not ashamed to say it, and I was sad to see him go. He was definitely one of the best big guys I ever saw in the ring. He had the right look and his theme music matched him perfectly. His strength was just amazing and at times downright scary (running powerbomb on the Big Show for example). Say what you want, but I loved his monster heel run where he would just randomly beat the crap out of people. I miss the guy and I think if he stayed, he would have at least still be in high profile matches if not the WWE Champion. I wish he would come back even it was just him working as a part-timer or for special occasions. And yeah sure, people like to shit on him for getting pushed to the moon, but his time as a headliner saw him have a lot of good matches: Vs. RVD, Vengeance 2002 Vs. Hulk Hogan, SD Aug 2002 Vs. The Rock, SummerSlam 2002 Vs. The Undertaker, No Mercy 2002 Vs. Edge, Rebellion 2002 Vs. Rey Mysterio, SD Halloween episode 2002 Vs. Kurt Angle, WM XIX and SSlam 2003 Vs. John Cena, Backlash 2003 (Not a 5 star classic, but a lot better than people give it credit for considering this main event match consisted of both guy being "rookies") Vs. The Big Show, JD 2003 Vs. Chris Benoit, SD December 2003 Vs. Eddie Guerrero, NWO 2004 Re: Holly Bob Holly's a fucking asshole. He's always trying to do that veteran tough guy bullshit. "Oh, this new guy is getting a push. I think I'll teach him a lesson because I'm HARDCORE!" I didn't feel sorry for him one bit. He got what was coming to him. Besides, wasn't Lesnar suffering from the flu that night? That would be another valid reason for the drop as Brock wouldn't have the strength he normally would.

I thought he was better off as "The World's Strongest Man"

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Well, I thought Mysterio was replaced in the title match at GAB because he wasn't ready yet (I thought it was a cool idea for him to get a title shot in his return match in his hometown), but then I found out his name was in the steroid scandal, I guess he's really fucked now.

    Transformers The Movie

Great movie! What I liked: - The amazing CGI obviously - Ironhide - Scorponok (even though he could have a little bigger) - Frenzy (cool character, I'm glad that wasn't Soundwave though) - Jon Voight - Lots of humor especially with Mrs. Witwicky, who I could have sworn was the film version of Bam's mother from Jackass - References as a nod to original fans (The Volkswagon Beetle, Porsche, Prime having an energy weapon for example) - What I didn't like: - Not enough Starscream - Hugo Weaving being used only for his voice to be altered and sound totally unrecognizable. David Kaye was the best Megatron voice actor IMO, should have used him instead. - Prime's mouth. I was hoping it would be just like how it was in Beast Wars, that was better. - The movie was 30 minutes longer than it should have been. It dragged with dumb plot points that turned out to be a waste. The glasses subplot mainly. - Tyrese - John Turturro - Scorponok and Barricade just disappearing - dying.

    WWE rebounding from WM 23

XIII sucked. The only matches I enjoyed were the double main events and Benoit / MVP. MITB was okay, but I felt they could have done more considering there were 8 people included this time.

    The YouTube Thread

Yeah, I figure since we have one for the wrestling part, why not one for films and TV? So anything you want to share from a TV show, cartoon, anime, or movie from YouTube, post it here. Like the Village, it was another one of those times where the trailer actually made the movie look cool and then you went to see it and the movie was a complete piece of shit. Whoever edited this was a fucking genius!

    Let's talk about John Cena.

That's basically sums it up for me. People like to shit on Orton, but I'd pay to see him kick Cena's ass and become the WWE Champion. I think fans would get on Orton's side again. Granted it took him awhile, but he did it before back in mid-2004. I could see him doing it again, hopefully without WWE turning him back into the lame babyface.

    The Old School questions thread

Wasn't the Baywatch episode supposed to tie-in with the Bash At The Beach PPV since the two main events took place on both shows? (Savage Vs. Flair, Vader Vs. Hogan in a steel cage)
  25. Lil' Bitch

    Let's talk about John Cena.

He's just so boring now. He's like the WWE version of President Bush: he's still on top and everybody is sick to death of him seeing him there. The overcoming the odds thing really needs to stop because its just beating a dead horse now. He's basically the new Goldberg because he's gone through almost the whole roster. His face run as the champion has been a failure mainly due to the fact that he changed his character. There was no reason to do it. Stone Cold and The Rock didn't change when they finally made it to the big time. At least when he didn't have the title for 3 months last year, I felt it brought back some edge to his character, but now I'm just waiting for somebody (most likely HHH at this point) to kick his ass and take the title.
