Almost everybody knows Superman's origin and since it was almost done properly on screen by Donner (although I never did understand why they killed off Pa Kent. I don't remember that happening in the comics), what's the fucking point of doing it again? Just have Superman: The Man of Steel pick up where Superman Returns left off and have Superman fight Braniac, simple as that. Totally agree!

I just got back from watching Death Race. I absolutely loved this movie from start to finish. It met my expectations by being a gritty, violent car chase movie. So many moments reminded me of Twisted Metal (there's even a character in the movie named Mr. Grimm minus the motorcycle!) and Death Race made me leave with a smile. I would definately see this again. I was disappointed that David Carradine didn't have a cameo as an inmate where he gave advice to Jason Statham's character about the Death Race, but (as Bob mentioned) hearing Joan Allen curse was awesome!

IIRC Perfect's decision was biased because of his feud with Luger from the previous year. Payback's a bitch!

I too was shocked to hear that the lead singer for a band that has been known for making vulgar offensive awesome music had decided to direct a kids movie starring Ice Cube. But hey people change. Who knows? It might be good. I always wanted Twisted Metal to be made into a movie. This is probably the closest we're going to get. But P.S. I Love You was good!
