What CPU difficulty level were you wrestling at? Also, are you on an HDTV? Apparently some experience a teeny bit of lag with consoles which can screw with timing based games like Fire Pro. Not on an HDTV. With speed at 100%, I couldn't win a grapple to save my life, even at CPU level 1. It was always either too early or too late. Drove me freakin' nuts. Especially after years of kicking ass on the GBA on level 10.

I've been playing Fire Pro for the GBA since it came out, so I figured I wouldn't have any trouble with this one. I was wrong. I did a normal match as AJ Styles vs Jeff Jarrett and didn't win a single grapple. This went on for two more matches. After a little searching online, I saw someone suggest increasing the speed to 125%. I tried it and it worked a little. Then I tried it at 150%, and I'm BACK, BABY! I'd rather not play it at that speed, but it works.
