In 6th grade, my teacher gave us an assignment to write a horror story. Mine was pretty much a ripoff of Friday the 13th, except that Jason (or in this case, "The Butcher") won in the end. I think I still have that thing laying around somewhere.

It's the one for new Lays Stacks. If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean. Just the look on the ugly woman's face plus the way she talked, it just...*shudders*.

Yeah, WAVs are pretty much the same as the actual CD file format.

What new TV shows are you digging?

I like ABC's Married to the Kellys. I actually like the rest of the TGIF lineup, too, except for Hope and Faith. -

This show sucked. Justin may suck, but at least he didn't lip sync, for crying out loud. Britney: You can not sing. Give it up. Just be a whore and not a singer.

I can't download it because I'm on a Win 98 machine, but it just came out today and I'm wondering how it stacks up. iTunes

What are you, some godless commie bastard? Sure, The Bad Touch was overplayed all to hell, but Hooray for Boobies is an excellent CD, and who can forget Fire Water Burn? Genius they are.

LFO How did it take four pages to get to them? Also on the subject of hair bands...Does anyone remember the band Steelheart? Way back in the day MTV ran a special for the Top 200 videos ever. This was around 1989-90, when I was 6-7. Their video for "I'll Never Let You Go" was #200 and I liked it a lot. I even got their album (cassette of course). Not my finest moment.

I caught this show last night on Spike TV, and I like it. It's a very interesting concept, and it's funny just watching how over-the-top fake it is, but the guy still has no suspicions about it. I think that he'll eventually figure it out, though. If you haven't seen the commercials for it, it's basically a reality show that's not real, but one guy(cast member) thinks it is. All the other cast members are actors, contests and evictions are rigged. It's highly enjoyable.

I almost forgot about it until I happened to switch on Comedy Central just as it was coming on. It was hilarious. Sort of the movie counterpart of the Joe Schmo Show, except the target in this movie is a total douchebag. Best parts: -The casting director was "Roman Polanski" -The morning milkshake Perry had to drink...twice. -Mole breaking the table and the Japanese money man, Hiroshima Nagasaki, canceling the movie, only to have a porn producer take his place -Perry's reaction to Mole breaking the table and the movie being cancelled. -The limo driver was named Travis Bickle -"Charlton Heston" Brilliant.

So that's Dana Carvey? Oh well, it's still creepy. Here's another commercial question: Have you noticed that that "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" song is in two different commercials? What's up with that?

Veronica was in Playboy a couple years ago, I believe along with Jisela and Beth (Osama Beth Laden). Last season's challenge was great because of Puck. It started with the Puck/David confrontation and that just got everything going smoothly. That's what we need. I can still hear David's whiny voice screaming "That man spit in my face!"

Who do they think they're kidding releasing a DVD of The Junction Boys? Like anybody gives a shit about that movie.
-
I'm having trouble getting into it because they have too many people from the most recent seasons and I have no idea who the hell they are. The last two seasons of the Challenge have been great, though. Hell, the 2000 Challenge was pretty damn good, too. Veronica = hotness.

Yeah, Don Zimmer just can't work.
-
I thought Justin did a pretty good job...well, except for his music, but everything else was good. I groaned when I saw the Boston Teens skit coming on, but the Don Zimmer joke made it all worthwhile. What was that old bastard thinking charging Pedro f'n Martinez?

Yeah, those are good points. I guess that's why he's on the show and not me. I just think people being total dicks is amusing. -
That sounds almost like Necessary Roughness.

Hey, I liked Rat Race. Rowan Atkinson ruled the school.

The One and Only Survivor: Pearl Islands Thread

After seeing the preview for next week, I have to ask: Why the hell isn't Rupert totally sabotaging the Morgan camp? He could just be a total dick, i.e. throwing stuff into the water, eating all their food, etc. I know he's not above that as we saw in the premiere when he raided Morgan's raft. -
I asked this in a previous thread but didn't get a straight answer from anyone opposing it (most notably NoCalMike). I don't live in California so it won't affect me, but I'm still curious. And if anybody calls me a racist, you can just die. Proposition 54
-
OK, I found it, and I now know that Prop 54 is a good thing, although it was unfortunately defeated. Don't want to offend the minorities, I guess.

True. They should have concentrated on the fact that he has no experience outside of being a trophy sponsor for some legislation and, judging by his campaign, has no idea what he's doing. What are you talking about? He's going to TERMINATE THE DEFICIT!!~!
