We've lost a great man today. I am saddened to have heard of his passing. RIP Mr. President. On a side note, I had a dream around the time of Nixon's death that always stayed with me. It dealt with Regan living to be 101. For a while I thought it might just happen. Either way, he had a good life. I'm sad I never met him though.

I have like four Foxworthy cds, several cassettes, 2 Bill Engvall CDs, the Blue Collar Comedy tour DVD, and I'm looking at the Larry the Cable guy CD, and the Ron White Cd. Foxworthy is great. I like his stories about his children. Like when his daughter made him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with ritz crackers, and chewed up peanuts and raisins..

Be warned: When I was at the New Orleans Arena, I was in Section E, which was the section the wrestlers face when cutting the promos. You know, the side with the cameras that you never really see on TV. It's also the side the wrestler's families sit on. Well, they wouldn't let anyone in that section have signs because they would block the cameras. Just thought of that. Other arenas might not be like that though.

Before the twenty man battle royal on Raw in like 93-94 that came down to Razor Ramon and Rick Martel, I dreamt that Razor was one of the winners and that he eliminated Bam Bam Bigelow... oh sports... When the Saints played the Bengals in 2002, I said "Watch the Saints mess it up and loose to the Bengals." At that point the Bengals had only won one game that season, and of course they beat the Saints.

Saints- After the stunning River City Relay, John Carney misses the extra point attempt. Of course it shouldn't have come down to having to pull off something like that. There's a commercial here locally now with them doing that play in a grocery store trying to get a loaf of bread to this woman.

I like Fallon and his characters, but... I don't see him branching out to be a decent actor. He has a hard time keeping a straight face when on camera.

See, there's something going on, a bet or something backstage to see how long they can keep her on before America riots. Then they flood the audience with members of former Communist states, or WCW fans, you know, people used to being told when to cheer and boo. Then they flash a big "Applause" sign whenever "Donald on Helium" gets on stage. But only the judges and producers are in on it. The families of the contestants don't notice all the Cuban, Korean, and Eastern European conversations around them because obviously they are focused on their family members. Then the people voting for who the judges say to vote for are really the low common denominator that they hoped to get to watch the show in the first place. Ok, so I have too much time on my hands, point being, I cannot stand Fantasia. I'm not a fan of Diana, but she sings a lot better than Fantasia. And Jasmine has that sweet mellow voice that is drawing me to vote for her due to lack of options. __________________

I noticed that too. I was going to make a thread about it too but never got around to it Thanks buddy! Anyway other things I noticed was in some of the dvds they don't have the inserts for chapters and don't even have chapter selection in some others.

I love the pro bowl. I watch all star games for the fun factor, and football has that. Well, that's for me anyway.

I still wear mine. Cost nearly 400 bucks so damn right I'm going to still wear it. I didn't get a college one though because those cost twice as much as my high school ring and I didn't really want to have to trade the old one in for a small discount. I might get the college ring later on though. And I'm not a loser for still wearing it at 22. I have something that represents something that a good # of the population is just too stupid to accomplish. As far as getting the college ring, as I said, I might get one. Right now the degree that gets me the higher paying jobs is all that's on my mind. I still have my high school year books. The college yearbooks I have too, but they didn't cost any extra money as the cost was included in the tuition that was paid for in my scholarships. Anyway, my ring description is this: Size 11 (I think) 14k gold Has my initials, first on the left side of the stone, last on the right. Left side says "Class of 99, Millinium's Last Class" Right side says "Brass" and has a bunch of brass instruments. The stone is rectangular blue, with the starburst cut. On the stone is the crest of the school. Underneath the ring, engraved in script letters, is my full name. The bottom of the ring has the rippled look. And I'm not sure what the finish is called, but it's the one that's not the antique finish.

While them full motion video movie things are funny sometimes when you first start the games, I wonder how much space they could free up by taking that out and putting something game related. More features, MORE I-AA teams, more personalization features, hit on more traditions at schools, etc... Anyone have information on the space these movie things take up?

Well Jacksonville drafted, as expected by all the local papers, my alma mater's lone represenative, Chris Thompson. For those of you that don't know him (probably most if not all) he was considered one of the, if not THE best cornerback in I-AA. He's also a really nice guy. I just hope he can do something notable for himself in the NFL because he really deserves it, like most of these guys. From what I know, if he was at a big school, and rated higher, I doubt he'd be making a fuss over what team drafted him I also find it a bit amusing that Matt Mauck got drafted a lot later than him, something I can hold over this guy at work

What's actually stupid is the whole "you - the voters - have noone to blame but yourselves for voting for your favourites instead of the best singers" spiel they were feeding us yesterday. Are they kidding? THEY (the producers) are the ones who have the phone lines set up so you can repeatedly vote for a person - it's one of the reasons Clay finished second. THEY are the ones who have Seacrest tell us every week to "vote for our favourites", and then berate us? THEY are the ones who have Seacrest bring a baby on stage because THEIR annointed one isn't getting the votes they want? So I say screw 'em. Some of you may consider the continuing presence of John Stevens to be a joke, but I think the real joke is that they're (once again) trying to tell us who to vote for, and who they want to win. So yeah, I HOPE John goes through again and I WANT Fantashia to shing her last shong, because that's the only way to tell the suits that if you give someone the keys, don't tell them how to drive. I don't consider John a joke like most people here, but you know what? What you said is probably one of the most intelligent things said in this thread. Props

My senior year, we played South Florida, and the coach was legit concerned in the newspaper article. He referred to the SLC as the SEC of I-AA. We lost that game 27-17 though But we blocked the youngest Grammatica like twice in that game. That was cool. Martin and Bill's talent obviously didn't trickle down to the third one. (Santiago?) Anyway, yeah SLC needs props in this years edition. Especially since McNeese in Lake Charles, LA is traditionally in the top five anyway (spent most of last season as #1). Most of the stadiums in SLC are pretty nice too. Pretty much most of them have pretty turf stadiums. Sam Houston's stadium is gorgeous. Absolutley gorgeous. I did hear a rumor around campus that EA called the coach or someone high in the athletic department about using the likeness and stuff, so I'm sure there's a good fighting chance SLC will be in there. Although Nicholls's new president just removed the Colonel image as the mascot due to pressure from the school's NAACP chapter. That includes the sword through the N symbol, so I dunno if that'll affect anything or not.
