Quadriplegic man dies while jailed for pot possession
yankovic fan replied to Twisted Intestine's topic in Current Events
Ok he's 27 but met with Regan in 1982 while in a wheel chair according to the picture on the page captioned " Magbie, who was paralyzed from the neck down at age 4 after his school bus was hit by a drunk driver. Since then Magbie had been under almost constant nursing care, and got around on a chin-operated wheelchair. (A year after his injury, a young Magbie had met President Ronald Reagan during a White House ceremony commemorating National Respiratory Therapy Week.)" None of this story adds up. Plus the date on the page is October 2004. Why the outrage now? -
For what its worth, I'd wear it. A tribute is a tribute, corny/contrived or not. You appear to respect the man, why not honor him in the best way you know? If that means wearing his jersey, then so be it. I hope he is at peace and that his loved ones can find a healthy outlet for their grief. So tragic

Ok if I would have seen that when it happened, I would have had nightmares. I know me.. I was a cowardly child. Pretty incredible he got away with it though.

Will we be able to buy a 2nd guitar for the Wii ? I've looked all over the internet and so far the only way that I can get a 2nd one seems to be by buying a 2nd bundle, yanking the guitar and reselling the game as a standalone and hope someone buys it content using their wii-mote as a guitar.

One of my friends played linebacker in high school against Brandon Jacobs. He said "that guy hit me so hard... after going through the D-Line, I just laid on the field, and when my friend came to check on me I said 'screw it, I quit, there's no way a RB should be hitting a line backer THAT hard' " I sucked at basketball but around the 6th month of the school year in tenth grade, after playing it every day, I sunk like 30 baskets of us just goofing off on one of the side courts.

That is one twisted coping mechanism.

Bowl teams don't play division 2 teams. I mean I'm sure they could, (not specific on the rules) but they don't.

FCS #17 Nicholls State 58 Northwestern State of LA 0 Nicholls returned FOUR INTS for touchdowns and by the fourth quarter, the FIFTH string quarterback was taking snaps, just for playing time. To beat your biggest conference rival, by a blowout/shutout and have the game end with your fifth stringer kneeling on it... oh so sweet. Going find something to treat this sunburn.

OK, I give up. Can someone explain this one to me? She's in a boat in ankle deep water? That's what I got out of it.

In kind I always appreciated Bret's counter to Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series 1992. Shawn, as I recall, jumped off the ropes and Bret caught him mid air for the sharpshooter. You know what all I can think of is Bret Hart matches right now. I'm also remembering the end of his match with Razor Ramon at Royal Rumble 1993.

I picked Detroit over Chicago in my football pool with my friends and I'm starting to sweat it. I rationalized Chicago defensive injuries, Detroit looking legit and having a home game, and praying it wasn't QB issues but WR issues for Chicago. Blargh

I'm trying to remember the logic in drafting Robert Meachum when the N.O. defense needed help. Yeah, down by ten, lets throw 3 yard patterns THEN an interception.

Well Kerry Collins is in and VY has a wrist injury.

Maybe its the lack of sleep but I am seeing Benoit in Edge's face in the initial picture -
Thank you. I couldn't place who he was reminding me of. And there it is. John Ritter. - I can only guess the flag match is a result of the suspensions and they needed filler material ?

Being the worst team in the MAC is just about as close as being a Div-II team as possible, besides, Penn State is already pulling ahead 17-3 at the half. Who's playing a division 2 team? Why is ESPN2 bouncing around from game to game and then going back to C Mich vs. Purdue?

Troy isn't a team to sneeze at. They've been dangerous at every level they've played. They beat a pretty ok Missouri team in 04 (60 something fumble return by an O-Lineman for a TD will forever be etched in my memory). When they were in the Southland, my alma mater played them frequently, and they were pretty powerful then on the FCS (then I-AA) level. Watching the game tonight, I'll say they've made some nice improvements to their stadium since I last was there in 2001. Actually, I think it was DeMarcus Ware that returned that fumble. I just thought OK St. was supposed to be pretty good this year and now they're 1-2. After a little research, I found that it was OG Junior Louissaint, Jr. - A mauling guard from West Hills Junior College.

59-year-old linebacker ready to play for D-III Sul Ross State Associated Press After missing two games with injuries, 59-year-old linebacker Mike Flynt will take the field for Sul Ross State, Texas on Saturday for the first time in 37 years. Flynt will suit up for the Lobos (2-0) when they face Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton. The Crusaders (1-0) are ranked third in the Division III poll. The game will be the American Southwest Conference opener for both teams. Flynt will not become the oldest college football player, as Edgard Barreto played for Ashland (Ohio) University when he was 60 in 1997. Barreto, however, got in for only one play in the fourth quarter of a blowout in the next-to-last game of the season. So Flynt could be considered the oldest player counted on to be a regular contributor. "The opportunity like what I'm going after right now is just a testament to what you do at any stage of your life if you'd just take a few minutes every day to prioritize your health and take better care of yourself," Flynt said in an August interview. Although he's the ultimate college "senior" -- a grandfather and AARP member, he's eight years older than his head coach and six years from Medicare -- Flynt is legitimately capable of playing against guys one-third his age. Coaches didn't give him a spot on the roster. He had to earn it in two-a-days. He's remained in great shape over the years as a strength and conditioning coach at Nebraska, Oregon and Texas A&M, and later by selling the Powerbase, a fitness machine he invented. Still, some aches and pains from practices kept him out of the first two games. Flynt last played for Sul Ross in 1970. He was kicked off the team before the 1971 season because of a fight and never got over the regret of missing his senior year. He shared that with some former teammates at a school reunion earlier this summer and one of them suggested he should rejoin the team. Flynt never considered it because he thought he was out of eligibility. Turns out, he had one semester left. He's now also taking graduate school courses. Akron and Ohio State seem to be having a real snoozer, 3-2.

So I just noticed I have a missed call...

000-000-0000 numbers could indicate 'roll over dialing' which means they're using computers to generate random numbers to dial. This is illegal in many states. The number the original poster posted, could be a dummy number posted in one of them websites they have to prank your friends and you insert a random number. Also it could be one of them urban legend scams. did you google the number? That helps sometimes. -
My first reaction was Sabu. Glad to see others thought of it too. Now us four we need to come up with realistic answers
