I have "Lloyd Carr fired" typed into google news and I keep refreshing every five minutes.

Does anyone have the link for the Michigan Wolverines message board? I'd like to see the progression of messages through out the week.

As big a fan as I am of small schools - and the sheer annoyance I get from the lack of respect - I will say that this is a once in a lifetime upset. I make jokes all the time that LSU is scared to play my alma mater (Nicholls State) and I guess I could point at this game as evidence

To be fair, the scholarship levels are 85- 65. so there is fatigue and depth issues to contend with for Appy state.
-
Yeah I'm more into that game than the one I'm watching (ECU @ VT). Need more highlights please... or switch the ESPN2 game since I'm getting the Mich St drubbing of UAB.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
yankovic fan replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
I was at the doctor the other day for strep throat and he said he was going to inject me with "medical terms and a steroid." I made the poor joke "Oh I don't know about them steroids, doc." This progressed into a small chat on anabolics, and the Chris Benoit massive prescription thing. Yes I was discussing wrestling with an MD. So anyway, when I told him the amounts reported, he just dismissed it shaking his head saying there was no way THAT much could be prescribed for any amount of time without SOMEONE noticing right away. He bid me adieu and that was that. He was probably just being the 'educated arrogant' type but being a family friend didn't want to offend me. At the same time I'm just wondering if he may have a valid point. We know Astin, et al were being investigated at some point, but for how long? As it was said earlier in the thread, by a Benoit relative (his mom or Nancy's mom?) why didn't they act sooner? I mean seriously. -

Just don't let him blade. -
That annoys you? Try BEING one of those referees. Especially in a Southern fed where you still get people who Truly Believe. I've had to claim I was narcoleptic, suffered partial hearing loss, had tunnel vision, was intensely ADHD, all kinds of shit just to explain why I didn't catch on to the obvious cheating. And hell, I wasn't even trying to be unbiased, I had been the announcer before so I was a pretty blatantly babyface ref who bitched out the heels something fierce every time I caught them doing something. And I still caught hell every night from the crowd. Because of the lazy booking on a lot of these shows, the referees end up with more heat than most of the heels. You might as well be a cop, the law is the enemy you know. On the No DQ rope breaks, maybe it could be argued the ref counted it and the wrestler broke it out of habit. If its a face that broke the hold, you could maybe he did it to be 'honorable' or something. I think I've seen a few matches where the wrestler applying the hold didn't break it but I honestly can't think of an example. I always hated Wrestler A (usually a face) having to stop and argue with the small petite valet of Wrestler B (usually a heel). She's small and frail She isn't going to do much damage. Ignore her taunts! Also, don't chase anyone in an arena. Especially up the aisle where there's curtains by the entrance and you cannot see your foe's buddies waiting to jump you.

Tazz would have intervened but he's still mad about getting a candy jar busted across his head. -
WCW botched his NWO debut horrifically. Maybe he just had bad timing with the way he grabbed Bret, but it was so obvious. That said, I enjoyed him up until I heard Pettingil on Mania say that Crush had been arrested. For some reason, I 'knew' it was real. After that, I had a hard time getting behind him. either way, RIP big man.

Thank goodness the gutters were filled in, eh? I have weird arms. They curve naturally that if I bowl 'correctly' the ball goes into the gutter halfway up the thing. So if I throw the ball where I am comfortable, I do decent, but damn if it doesn't drive the 'pros' crazy. Then they wander over and want to 'help' me.

That woulda been great if it was not on a wrestling show and a couple of friends making a youtube video for fun. It was amusing, but out of place. -

What was your first Exposure to Wrestling
yankovic fan replied to edgehead69's topic in General Wrestling
I was always aware of wrestling and the wrestlers through out my developing years in the 80s, but I never really watched. Then one day in 1991 I watched All American Wrestling. Roddy Piper was going on about Ted Dibiase in a promo in the funeral parlor. The featured match that stands out was "Sid Justice" vs. masked wrestler "El Diablo." For some reason, Undertaker and Paul Bearer came down and bribed Diablo to leave. Taker and Sid tangled for a bit, and then El Diablo returned and revealed himself as Jake the Snake Roberts!!! They pulled out the snake and had Sid tied in the ropes. Then Hacksaw Jim Duggan came and made the save. It was very shortly after Summerslam 1991 because Bret Hart came out with his newly won IC title. Throughout college from 99-03 I was in and out due to my job working me on Mondays, but I invariably had people tape raw/nitro for me. I had the internet to keep me up to date. From 04-present I've watched even less, but recently I can tape raw on schedule now that I have a reliable VCR and DVD burner. I forget to tape Smackdown. Anyway, back to 1991, I bought the whole fallout from Survivor Series 91, with Hogan being on life support, Hook line and sinker. -
http://loserswithsocks.com/2007/02/25/chri...r-bust-bitches/ Chris Leak Racks Up an 8 on the Wonderlic. Calgary or Bust Bitches February 25, 2007 Posted by Jai Eugene in Urban Meyer, SEC Traditions, shart, florida gators, Quarterbacks, Gators, dumb-ass, chris leak, SEC Football. trackback (Thanks for the Email on this Steve) Toby Korrodi says thanks to Chris “Hookslide” Leak. Korrodi would have scored this year’s lowest Wonderlic Score of 12 if Leak had not Eagled the test with an 8. Somebody forgot to tell Leak that scoring lower than your jersey number doesn’t really impress NFL Scouts. Can anyone say this 3 times fast? Chris Leak Carries a Clipboard in Calgary Canada Constantly Later reports have Leak running a 4.7 40, not a 4.5 as he had bragged on the Dan Patrick Show (link here), and a 32 inch gravity based vertical leap. Reading the Football Message Boards makes me chuckle. The Gators are spinning Leak’s interview as a “joke” now. Anyone else remember when Florida lost to Auburn? The Gators were burning Leak in effigy. Calgary is looking better each day. Keep in mind that these scores are still rumors, but this is the first inkling that something is rotten in Denmark Somewhere Thomas Hollywood Henderson is smiling, Leak is rumored to have misspelled Cat even after being spotted the C and the T (thanks Kyle, that is going to leave a mark). Granted Leak’s really low score was not as low as Vince Young’s , but Chris Leak is not Vince Young either. Vince Young doesn’t have to wear lifts to almost reach 6′0. Click the link for a series of photos at the end of the article, also critical of Leak.

Ok I could not remember Summerslam 2004 for the life of me, so I go to reliable Wikipedia and I get: I do not remember this title match.
