I'm, for some odd reason, Connor. You're Connor. What this says about you: You have deep-seated distrust of the people in your life and are afraid they're not really sincere. As a result, your uncertainty turns into anger and that's what you present to the world. You have very base instincts about things, but you're very sweet when you let someone in. When you're in love you tend to mark your territory and woe betide anyone who gets in your way. Try to let go of your anger, you're not a bad person and people know that. You can trust them. Shrug. -

If the reason isn't "because I'm high" then there's no logical reason why "Nowish" would be better than "Not Fade Away" and "A Hole In The World". -

I finally got season six of Buffy(obviously) on DVD the other night, and since I'm bored, I figured I'd bring up a few things. Bear in mind, while I've seen the entire season a few times, I've only just finished "Tabula Rasa" on the DVD. 1) Why would Giles leave at the beginning of the season? I don't want to say he has an obligation, but don't you think he'd feel like he should stick around and help look after Dawn? Her mother's dead, her sister's dead, and her dad is gone. That just seems odd to me. Sure, his slayer is dead, but he was more than just a Watcher. He was basically Buffy's father, and looked out for all of them. 2) OK, Buffy comes back and THEY EXPECT HER TO PAY THE BILLS? That's just idiotic. Oh, sure, I know you were dead and all, but here, pay these bills. Why didn't Willow and Tara, ya know, get jobs? They were living in her house for free. What would they have done had they not brought Buffy back? 3) I liked Anya's suggestion of charging for saving people's lives. I've seen that episode about six times and I never really caught it. But, ya know, that's exactly what Angel does. Spike even said a few of Angel's things "helping the helpess" in Tabula Rasa. 4) There is no number four. 5) Why would Giles leave again? How can they seriously expect Buffy to pay for EVERYTHING, and yes, that includes feeding Willow, too, and still fight the forces of evil? I know she needs to grow up, learn to be an adult, and all that sort of stuff, but Jesus, that's just rough. 6) And while I haven't gotten to those episodes yet, but how in the world was her job at the Doublemeat Palace enough to pay for everything? She'd start out at minimal wage and I doubt she was working full-time. Sigh. -

I haven't watched "Sleeper" in awhile, but Spike was the one who told Buffy about the basement and the vampires he had sired. That wasn't apart of the FE's plan, for her to find out about it, but since she did, I just figure it decided to go with it and get Buffy out of the way. Maybe doesn't make sense, but it definitely wasn't some sort of wedge driving device. But it probably hoped either Buffy or Spike or both would wind up dead. I dunno. A lot of season seven doesn't make sense. -

Yeah, I never understood the First not wanting to kill Buffy as soon as possible. All it had to worry about was keeping Faith from dying, and it would have been just easy pickings killing all the potentials. And, speaking of, why the HELL did they have that inmate try to kill Faith in prison? Her being dead would have screwed up everything because there would have been two Slayers roaming around, rather than just one and the other locked up. Season 7 pretty much went downhill after "Conversations with Dead People". -

I think it's perfectly logical for them to realize she's not there on the bus. Most of the SiTs were being attended to, Wood was driving with a wound, Dawn was busy checking for Buffy, who was running across building tops to make it, Andrew was in his own world wondering why he survived. So, considering the situation, with all the people getting in the bus and having to haul ass to get out of there, it's perfeclty reasonable for them to not notice if she's there or not. But Xander knowing she wasn't there was his thing. He's the one that loved her. She was basically his priority, if that makes sense. Everyone else had their own individual worries there. Anya just wasn't on everyone's mind at that given moment. Is that wrong? I loved Anya, but she wasn't the center of the universe, so not everyone was going to be thinking about where she was. Yeah, maybe the whole "mall-talk" was just Joss trying to be a little too cute with things, but you said it yourself, he was going to kill someone--that being Anya--and pretty much not even deal with the death. But, I dunno, whatever. I have no problems with Anya being sliced in half. But you seriously need to chill about it. It is just a show no matter how much you loved it and how much you cared for the characters. Because, no matter what, at the end of the hour(or 42 minutes if you're watching on DVD) it's over. You go on with your life. Xander was my favorite character, and I was perfectly fine with how Anya's death was dealt with by him. "Mall-talk" notwithstanding, but I'd rather he made a crack about all the stores being gone than him walking up to the rest of the group and going, "Oh, hey, sorry to disrupt the happy, but Anya's dead. Yeah, sliced in half, saving Andrew's sorry ass. Cry with me?" -

Yeah, okay, you're right in that they were kind of friends. I wouldn't go so far as to agree with being one of Buffy's best friends, even if it was said on the show. But anyway... I just thought of something. The Scoobies didn't know Anya was dead. Not outside of Andrew and Xander. It was kind of hectic there, getting back to the bus and all. Maybe Xander just didn't want to bring it up just yet? Let them have their moment, with the Hellmouth and Sunnydale destroyed. Then, afterwards they got their grieving on. -

When was Anya EVER a friend of Buffy's? Xander loved her, and honestly, that was the only reason any of the others put up with her. You were just talking about "Selfless" earlier, you know, when Buffy tried to KILL her? So, outside of Xander--who had his moment to deal with her death, brief as it was--no one was going to be overly affected by her death. She didn't matter to any of the other characters, truthfully. That's just the way it was. -

In the grand scheme of things, she wasn't that important. It is called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and not "Anya the Vengeance Demon", afterall. -

Well, that argument keeps going in circles. So, I propose a new topic. Hmm... On what episodes were some of the members of the Circle of the Black Thorn first seen? Off-hand, I know Arch-Duke Cebasses(sp?) was first seen in "Life of the Party". So, what of the other prominent figures of the Circle? -

Only Vic and Shane know they killed Terry. Lem and Ronnie don't know about it at all. They thought the black dude(I forget what his name was) they were breaking into the house after had shot Terry. -

I guess you could say they kind of brought it up when they were de-inviting Angel(us) from Willow's home in "Passion", when they were putting the crosses up. WILLOW: I'm gonna have a hard time explaining this to my dad. BUFFY: You really think it'll bother him? WILLOW: Ira Rosenberg's only daughter nailing crucifixes to her bedroom wall? I have to go over to Xander's house just to watch 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' every year. BUFFY: I see your point. WILLOW: Although it is worthwhile to see him do the Snoopy Dance. Yeah, okay, I kept the Snoopy Dance part of the dialogue because I like it. But, while they didn't come out and say "ONLY CHRISTIAN SYMBOLS WORK ON VAMPIRES", I guess you could say they subtlely said that, since Willow's all Jewish and everything. Shrug. -

Yeah, what did some of you expect? Them to stop the apocolypse, and then for Angel(or Spike) to be Shanshued? The thing is, this was just another apocolypse. There were going to be more after this if they stopped it. There would always be more. It would never end, the fighting wouldn't stop, and eventually, no matter how long Angel lasted on earch, evil would still be there, plotting another apocolypse. They just chose this time to make their stand. And now I go watch the finale again. -

I'm sure, once they had time to process everything, they paid due respects to Anya and the others that died, but you couldn't have them all standing around looking sad or crying to end the show. Truth be told, Xander was the only person who was going to be greatly affected by Anya's death, and they added a small scene with him and Andrew to kind of take care of his feelings on it. Did you want him to fall to his knees and start crying? Had to have them feel slightly good about things to close out the show. Time for mourning would be once they, like I said, were able to fully grasp what all had happened. -

If Dawn had died, Buffy would have been sad, hence it wouldn't be a happy ending. Yeah, Anya dying wasn't exactly a happy ending either, but I think Joss was meaning moreso along the lines of Buffy's happiness, her being the main character and all. Also, killing Kennedy wouldn't have had much impact. It would have been just like Amanda the Vampire Slayer dying. Anya was someone people liked and was an actual regular. Those tend to have more impact than the guest stars. Though, honestly, I would have rather seen anyone outside the core four die before Anya. But oh well. -

Well, I've been watching season three over again the last week, and I just watched the episode the other day, and it just didn't seem like they did, and even if they got started, there definitely wasn't enough time for Angel to finish, unless Cordy's bigger-than-Buffy's rack made him go quicker. -
