On F4W Mike Tenay said that the Joe/Liger match was meant to be about five minutes longer than it ended up being, but there was a problem with getting the information to the ref. The ref was told to end it in the next five minutes, but he told Joe to end it now. But on the bright side he also says he expects Liger to be back, and also spoke of having a New Japan team in a future X Cup, which could be awesome.

One thing TNA do need to do is start having the title contender rankings on tv. They have them on the website but never mention them during Impact or PPVs. Before any match put up the top 5/10 World, X or Tag rankings and say how the if team a win they could move up to 4th but if team b win they will over take team a and move up to 5th or something like that. It would ten seconds and would give every match some extra "explanation" if just the fact it's two wrestlers having a match to see who'll win one isn't enough for people.

If people want huge storylinees and 20 minute promos explains things over and over again they can watch the WWE. And it wasn't absolutely clear in a "kayfabe competiveness' way that Joe would lose. It was Jushin freaking Liger who they brought in rather than some Japanese guy no one had heard of. Besides, the whole point of any match is to see who wins, purely from a competitive viewpoint and of course the winners share of the purse and the chance to move up in the rankings. People go to see real sports don't they?
-
I thought it had already been revealed that they only decided on what to do for a main event during the match and that lead to them going short? I guess the first plan was for a 20 minute or so match which they decided to cut in half while it was going on, so told to ref to end it earlier, but he fucked up and ended it almost straight away.

I woke up remarkabley ill this morning, so I can't go to the Universal Uproar thing in Coventry, which means on Kobashi for me But, hey, at least I'll get to listen to Forest play away at Bournemouth... wooo.... Hopefully, considering we've just argreed to spend £625,000 on a center forward, Johnno and Jack will probably score today. Wait, what am I saying. Jack might score today. Johnno might only miss one one-on-one with the goal keeper instead of his usal three of four fuck ups.
-
And hopefully this means we can get rid of Johnno.

Why would they edit it out? I would've thought it would be part of the Raw/SD! angle thing they're trying to do?

We're so going to ruin this lads career...

Fergie's going to end up like Clough, but without the alcohol He's never replaced Beckham and Stam, like Brian never replaced Sherringham and Walker in 1992. I'm not saying that United will get relegated, but they *could* miss out on the Champions League this season, which relativly is just as bad. It's taken longer for the fall to happen, but I think there are certain parrallels.

Interference in cage matches is super stupid.
-
Yes, but that wasn't during a match, and in his defence doing that sort of thing in tennis shoes would be quite different from doing in wrestling boots like he's used to. I've seen plenty of him in TNA and ROH and off the top of my head can't remember a time he's not hit it. He's occassionally not quite been perfectly lined up for it, but he's still adjusted and hit it. I'm sorry, but if you judge if someone is a good worker by comparing them to freaking Misawa, that gives you, what, about five good workers in the history of the world!? 1. Do you think AJ Styles is a good worker? Yes. He gets me excited in his matches and he makes me care about he result and he makes me willing to pay to see him. What more does he need to do? a. Does he have good psychology?/b. Good selling? I'd say it's good enough, but certainly not great. Better than most X guys though, and he has improved a lot recently in my eyes, probably thanks to working with Daniels and Joe. 2. Do you think AJ Styles is the ideal poster child for TNA, excluding his devotion to the company? a. Is there anyone better? If so, who? Yes he is, for same reasons everyone else has put. He's the opposite to what the WWE presents which is what TNA need to be trying to get across. 3. Do you think AJ Styles is charismatic? He must be charismatic in the ring, as God knows his promo's aren't what got him over He doesn't need to be able to talk though, so I don't see it as a big problem for him. 4. What's the best AJ Styles match you've seen, not just limited to TNA? vs Joe at ROH War of the Wire. But that's probably because I watched it earlier today. Ask me again tomorrow and I'd probably give you a different answer 5. Do you think that AJ Styles has the "tools" to be a top-drawing money maker? Not yet. All the real top guys can talk, which is something he's not as good at as would be needed for a big money guy. But I'd imagine that he'd be able to be taught how do it at a reasonable standard, and as Laz said, some of his heel promo's were not bad at all.

Worst excuse to get out of a job/angle?

It was Cornette's idea, wasn't it? -
I know it sounds stupid, but the only real difference was Stan. The side that finished 3rd was Crossley Lyttle Pearce Chettle Cooper Stone Woan Bohinen Gemmill Roy Collymore And the team that finished bottom three years later was Crossley Lyttle Pearce Cooper Chettle Stone Woan Bart-Williams Gemmill Roy/Cambell Saunders And to me the only real difference there is up front. Although Bohinen was hugely creative for us, Stone and Woan on the wings were more than good enough to make up for his absence. All we really did, with a few exceptions, in the 94/95 season was have everyone behind the ball defending, except Stan and Roy who'd hang about on the half way line and then break when we got the ball and it worked because Stan was so good and he was on the same wave length and Roy. When you've got Dean Saunders and Kevin Campbell upfront.... well it's clearly not the same. But even with Stan going we had more then enough to get in strikers better than Campbell and Saunders. Frank Clark just failed in the transfer market. I'd rather have had Collymore instead of Cambell, Saunders, Bart-Williams, Nickola Jerkan and Andrea Silenzi any day of the week. If only we'd signed Baggio
-
Bryan was great in his first year, when he was playing with Stan. Next season he played with either Kevin Campbell or Jason Lee, and his own game suffered as a result and stayed just as ineffective in his final year with us. He was one of those players who wouldn't go and get the ball, but would stand still shouting for it. Our 94/95 team was good enough to carry him, knowing every so often he'd do something magic, but the next few years we weren't. I think he went to Munich 1860 in 1997 when his contract ran out, and is now helping to run the Ajax youth academy.

Bet the Leicester fans who went to Plymouth last night were delighted when it got called off at half time...
-
Shit. I've just realised that ten years ago we'd finished 3rd in the Premier fucking League and we're linked with Roberto fucking Baggio. And today we're 12th in the Second Division and linked with a bloke from Wycombe...
-
But in 1995 Baggio joining us wasn't 100% unlikely - or at least I'd like to think not. Remember, back then we'd just finished 3rd (THIRD damnit!) in the Prem and had £8.5m to spend. Rasiak is probably about a 0.75 on the Baggio scale.
-
I swear to God they must give the sports guys LSD at the Evening Post. This is almost as stupid as the IT'S BAGGIO! headline when they exclusivley announced we'd secured a deal to sign Roberto Baggio to replace Collymore...
