He had enough at Leeds so quick probably because it meant having to live in Leeds. Jesus, I've only been to see us lose at Elland Road and meet the girlfriends family, so God knows how bad it must be to live there.... Or maybe its just that bad things happen to me there Anyway, his distain for Derby surely is evident that he refused to return when you tried to 'tap' him and Peter Taylor just prior to our '77 promotion triumph.
-
Yeah, he loved Derby SO much he walked out. At least we forced him to retire

Either they build him back up strong, or at least try to and have him kick ass in a rematch winning in 20/30m, or it could even be best if he does retire. At least then things couldn't get worse.

Aren't the Quo playing pretty much every festival this year? I think I'm going to pass...

Well he lasted 59:45 so it's not as if he was squashed. Although I would rather him have won than Kojima.

Hollywood writers have no idea who he was... Ah yes, silly me. There I was confusing WWE with a wrestling promotion....

Why do they need to interview DiBiase? Surely enough people there would, you know, remember him working for them for ten years?

Half Man Half Buscuit - With Goth On Our Side "And my name - it is Dai Young, I'm the king of Welsh goths. The village I come from is near Abersoch. I was brought up on Bauhaus and black bedroom walls and I had my first "snakebite" when I was in halls. Now the graveyard is calling, the sky's getting greyer. I'll drink the warm blood of the borough surveyor and I'll murder the verger, I've seen how he gorps and I'll write on his headstone "Here lies Jones the corpse". Now, my overweight girlfriend she sits and she quips. Her mother's convinced she's communing with Imps. Her brother's alright though, he's a good lad, is Wilf. 'cause he's into Placebo and Cradle Of Filth. At my gig up in Butlins, the Redcoats complained. They tried to remove me, with bottles, they rained. But for the first time in history, I didn't run and hide. and the Scousers in shellsuits had Goths on their side. Now this land of my father's, it don't suit my needs. I'd rather be some place, like Bradford or Leeds. Where the Gipton teenagers could meet in my shed. For advice on Mascara and all things undead. Now, my left index finger is nine inches long. It's harbouring over a world that's gone wrong. Ask me to Prestatyn, and that's what I'll do and we'll all die together and "Dylan" can't sue. "

God damn it, I thought him and Shane were working well together. Still, as long as Shark Boy gets his spot I'll survive

I got to watch it last night and thought it was pretty good - although not as good as the previous sunday PPVs. The Iron Man was awesome, and most of the undercard was alright, special mention to Jeff Hardy going through all the Sabu spots he could remember. And, although I probably shouldn't, I even enjoyed Nash/Jarrett for some reason, and was pretty into the chance of Nash winning the title towards the end. But why Tenay had to mention about Gunn and Syxx being former DX members I don't know. TNA really need to stop taking history from WWE/WCW so much and try and build up their own. Looking forward to the next one though, which is more than I can say for No Way Out.

Has the Undertaker ever put anyone over cleanly?
The Decemberists replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in General Wrestling
Basically, as Take was going to use his 'broken' hand anyway, I see no point in having them mention it/make the angle if not to protect him. Having the commentators saying "and the Undertaker cannot use that broken hand", even when he occassionally is, means that Brock was not put over as cleanly as he could have been, as he didn't beat a fully fit and able Taker as the commentry has been continously pointing out. Brock taking Takers cast off his hand and working on it adds to this, in my opinion as taking away from any clean job from Take. The fact the Undertaker later was punching away and did a chokeslam with his magically healing hand means nothing as the commentators are putting over his broken hand earlier in the match, as is Brock, but working on in with a chair etc. Beating an un-injured Undertaker is more clean then beating a injured Undertaker.
