Gary Megson to be appointed manager of Nottingham Forest tomorrow.... I'm not really sure how I feel about this, but I'm probably more pleased than disapppointed. I definatly think he'll keep us up and sort the defence out. Reading on Forest forums though, our fans are the biggest twats on the planet. It's not even been confirmed and people are saying they're going to stop going to games and those who say they will keep going have said they'll boo Megson, all because he won't be playing "proper" football. Right now they need some fucking perspective on things. If we play like WBA but stay up and then get promoted next season (from whatever league we end up in) I couldn't care less about the style of play. Staying up and finishing mid-table will do me. We tried playing great football under Hart and we did - but we also nearly got relegated after one good season. Gary Megson's Red and White Army!

The Monochrome Set - Love Goes Down The Drain
-
Considering the situation at Forest I've been thinking about something that I'd like to ask around the board. If your club (God forbid) went out of business tomorrow, would be able to support another team? Who would it be? I think I'd probably get my fix from Manchester City, as I go past their ground on the way to uni everyday, so they're my local team but whether I'd be able to be a "fan" or not of them I really don't know. Probably not. Just thought though there'd probably be a AFC Forest or something similar, but 2 hours travel for bottom of the pile non-League games? I really don't know what I'd do. What about you lot?

In town today I got - Sparks - Mael Intuition (The Best of Sparks 1974-1976) and The Monochrome Set - Tomorrow Will Be Too Long - The Best of the Monochrome Set Tomorrow Will Be Too Long is the third 'best of' I have for the Monochrome Set and all three only have 3 tracks that are on each of them, which is a little odd.

Read, discuss, argue etc etc.

YES!! Thank God for that. BUT! I am quite pissed off that he's left it till now! Great plan Joe, quit the day before a local derby just to give us that extra time for Mick Harford to prepare. Either he really is a complete twat or something's happened between Saturday and now... Anyway - ***fill in the blank***'s Red And White Army!
-
Savage? Oh wait, he can't make them money. Carry on
-
Well depending on when you ask dear old Joe it's either £20m debt, £5m debt, £10m debt or £15m debt. Joe has quoted all these figures since he's been here. It best estimate though is £15m. I'm confident we could get £3.5m for Reid in January, and I think Dawson will stay untill the summer as he's hardly played so far this season because he's injured. Another reason we have to stay up this year is that if we go down we might only get something stupid like £1m for him... KINNEAR OUT!

See you at Earl's court on sat? Yep. I'll be dressed as a priest but with a black Mozfather t-shirt for the occassion. Just back from Brum. Really enjoyable gig despite two things - a) we were in seats... it's not right unless Morrissey knows you're there, and that means standing at the front. b) 'we' refers to me and my ex-girlfriend who bought the tickets ages ago when still together and then I was too much of a bastard to let her have my ticket. So that was kind of awkward, but didn't really spoil it. Great to hear Bigmouth Stikes Again live. The band play it brilliantly.

Off to another Morrissey gig tonight

Kinnear still hasn't quit/been sacked. I don't even remember being so angry and embarrassed when Platt when he was in charge, although Derby were in the Prem at that point so they couldn't thrash us. I cannot fucking sleep I'm so pissed off at this club.... I shall be at the ground early for Leicester game to take part in the protest, not that it will make any difference, but at least it's a way of showing how I feel about the way the club is being run. Derby are 3-0 up and Burley is standing up, yelling and making points to his players... and good old Joe is sat there, arms folded watching the game. At least fucking pretend you give a shit Joe! God damn I'm pissed off.
-
I'll be amazed if Leicester don't beat us. Taylor is class, for this division anyway, and, well, they have a manager who isn't a complete waste of space, which is always an advantage. Although we are yet to lose on Sky this season, and I think have never been defeated on a Friday... no, I'm not even kidding myself anymore. Reid was, shockingly, the only player to show any real passion out there today. I can only presume he knew some scouts were at the ground. And Chelsea for the Champions League. But only because they don't have to face us in it of course

"You have never been in love, untill you've seen sunlight thrown, over smashed human bone" Morrissey - First of the Gang to Die I've sang that line to myself a stupid amount of times this year. Cool lyircs and a great melody.

Owen Hart's performance during Bret/Backlund
The Decemberists replied to JN News's topic in General Wrestling
Never in a million year's would Owen have been champ if not for his death. Like BL said, the only viable time for him to have had a run would have been in 94. Personally I didn't even totally buy Owen as a threat then, despite his huge heel heat and most definatly not at any other time of his career. It's like Jeff Jarrett being a world champ... it just wouldn't have felt right. Don't know why.
