Recently found a copy of Turner Home Video presents WCW SuperBrawl 2, and it features the usual Turner butchering. However, there is one edit which is dumb beyond belief. After the awesome Pillman/Liger match Tony and Eric pimp the uncoming "Taylor Made Man" Terry Taylor vs Marcus Alexander Bagwell. We then get Missy interviewing Taylor, who says he's going straight out there to beat Bagwell. We cut to the enterence and here comes..... "Stunning" Steve Austin and Larry Zbyszko!! Brilliant. I couldn't believe it, I was laughing when I saw this. Turner's decided to cut out Taylor/Bagwell (probably a good idea, but not when you keep the hype and interview), Cactus vs Simmons (bad idea) and Richard Morton & Vinnie Vegas v. Van Hammer & Tom Zenk (probably a good idea, but it would've been fun to see a young Nash stink up the ring). So can anyone beat the editing of this? Including the hype, interview but not having the match?

I've just had the misfortune to see a programme on Channel 4 called Lock Up Your Sons about backyard wrestling in the UK. Jesus Christ! How fucking stupid can these people be!? There were 16/17/18 year olds throwing them selves through tables infront of, ooh, had to be about TWO other people (other "wrestlers" though I have never used that term as loosely as I do now) and then it shown these idiots doing Swantons and 450 Splash and SSP's even! Don't these idiots know how dangerous these are! Christ, if you're going to risk your life with these then do it for cash in front of a lot of people. It's not worth doing it in front of no one apart from your stupid mates. Plus at no time that i was watching this did the voice over guy say this was stupid and they really shouldn't be doing this. AND obviously these guys were exposing the business. Now I know that's maybe an odd thing to complain about, here of all places, but I like the people involved to at least pretend it's real, otherwise it just seems dumb. But then again, these idiots rolling about on grass can't really count as being in the business can they. They mentioned actual wrestling schools for all of 30 seconds, saying that they were used by "Backyarders" to add technical skills to go along with the stupidity of hitting people with things, although they didn't say it was stupid. Yeah, so this program kind of pissed me off. As firstly a wrestling fan, and secondly as someone who helps run a non-backyard "proper" (if very small) promotion, and is being taught how to wrestle at a proper wrestling school. And it pissed me off that the program was okaying all this possible backbreaking stupidity. Anyone else see it?

I asked to be trained as a manager because A) I'm a complete coward B) I can talk C) I'm not exactly athletic But you need to be trained to wrestling anyway, not just for bumps etc, but also so the other wrestlers there respect you and all that stuff. But i'm actually enjoying the phsical side of it now and may well end up being a wrestler instead of my initial plan of managing.

I'm sure this has been up before, but... What was the actual attendance at WM III? I'm sure I've read it somewhere and I'm sure it wasn't the 93,000 that Vince would like us to believe. But I can't remember how much lower than that it was. Or I could be completely wrong and it really was 93,000.
