    Big Show

I think it's too late to do the unstoppable, undefeatable thing with Show. They've just stopped and started on him too many times for it to have any resonance. Now if they brought back Brock on the other hand, he'd be perfect for it. They could have him lose his first PPV match because he's "rusty", avenge the loss and then spend 16 months as undefeated champion before giving a monster rub to whoever they wanted to put over. That would actually be a perfect way to finish off the remaining months on Smackdown.

    Beer

If you puke off of a swig of malt liquor, you must be the biggest lightweight in history. It basically just tastes like heavier, slightly sweeter beer, and has a little more alcohol in it. I've heard other people say that it tastes disgusting, but personally, I think it's just as good as beer, and has the bonus that it gets you drunk faster.

    a confused Lakers fan

Shaq's tight. Don't be hating. Kobe's a whiny bitch. I really hated him before the rape trial, (his stupid fucking ads drove me crazy), although I kind of felt bad for him after all that happened, and now I won't actively root against the guy.
  4. Before HBK came back, he was definitely my choice. When he finally came back to wrestle HHH, I was more hyped for that match than any match I'd ever watched, and it delivered everything I hoped for and more. Now though, I honestly can't think of anyone I'd care to see wrestle again. I never gave a shit about Bret or any of the WCW guys, and at this point, I really don't want to see Austin or Foley get in the ring either. If I were to pick an inactive wrestler to come back, it would probably be Brock Lesnar, but only if he could stay full-time. If I was absolutely getting one match, I guess I would like to see Bret come back, just to finally do the clean job for Shawn that he bitched about for so many years.

    Early Smackdown Spoilers

They can just say that Daivari's not officially part of the roster, and that he just follows Hassan around and tries to help him. A true "manager" should really help a talent wherever he picks up work more than he should be a part of the actual active wrestling roster.

    Beer

C'mon, you Canadians don't drink Kokanee? I live in the US, and unless I'm feeling really cheap, I get it almost every time I go to the store. Kokanee's some good shit.

WWF Winged Eagle or WCW Big Gold

Didn't WCW Title change hands like every 3 weeks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but I never watched WCW from 1999-2001. To me, it went from being Hogan's belt to being Booker T and Rock's belt to being HHH's belt. That David Arquette/Vince Russo stuff is like a folk tale to me.

Ever get stuck bad in a video game when

Wow, that X-Men thing sounds hilarious! Anyway, since Zelda 64's been coming up a lot, I remember that for some reason I couldn't find the entrance to the Fire Temple, and I actually beat the entire Water Temple before I even got to it. When I finally got there, I was really surprised how easy it was. My worst experience with a game, however, has to be with Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for N64. The first time I played the Sewers level, I made it all the way to the end before losing to the Giant Dianoga, (the boss). After that, I must have spent about 20 hours on the level, and I never made it back. I would never even run out of lives. I'd either get stuck trying to find the hole in the wall you jetpack up to, or trying to find my way through the underwater tunnel that you get to later on. In both cases, you can see absolutely nothing but one color, even though the strategy guides make it seem like an obvious tunnel. I think part of the reason I had so much trouble may have been the shitty color on my old television. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got a new one. I'm starting to think there actually were visible tunnels there, and I just couldn't see them because my TV sucked so much.
  9. mellowyellow got banned!?! That's bullshit! This is the funniest thing I've read all month. Come on, the Rockers dressing up as luchadors to distract the government while Sting plants a bomb? That's tremendous!

    What is this?

Considering that I was almost tempted to do it myself, I'll go with a day and a half.

A New Meaning To A School Suppy Box

I don't know who's dumber; you for posting all of these videos or me for continuing to look at them.

WWF Winged Eagle or WCW Big Gold

I'd say the Big Gold Belt, although that's mainly because I didn't watch any wrestling in Hogan's heyday, and the WCW/World Title has survived as a credible championship to this day.
  13. I was working last night, or I probably would have tried to watch the show live. Anyways, I've been avoiding the results of the show, and I didn't want to go into the main ECW thread where I'd see what happened. If anyone could give me a link where I could download the show, (preferably before Raw), it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for starting a new thread, but.....

I can't order PPVs with my system. I was going to go down to the bar and watch it if I wasn't working. If it's as good as all that, I probably will buy the DVD but I'll probably have the results spoiled for me by then. I was just hoping that I could see the show with the "surprises" still being surprises.

    King of the Ring 2001

That would have been dumb since Benoit was the more over and heavily pushed of the two at the time. Benoit/Austin and Jericho/HHH would have made more sense. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure, if you were a smark. However, to the average fan at the time, Jericho was much more over and was definitely the one who should have challenged Austin. Jericho was the one who interrupted Austin the night after Judgement Day, and he was always the lead guy in all the promos with Benoit just kind of agreeing with whatever he said. In fact, Benoit was just turning face for the first time since entering WWE during that period, and the fans were just barely starting to warm up to him. Just because he had more memorable matches with Austin, doesn't mean that Benoit was anywhere near being the #1 face in 2001 before the neck injury.

The new Parents magazine is out

If it wasn't for the follow-up commentss, I would honestly have never noticed that penis thing. After looking around for about a minute and a half, all I could come up with was scary germs.

    What's your favourite

"He's not your champion. He never was. He's always been.......my champion. Ladies and gentlemen, the corporate champion, the W W F champion, ladies and gentlemen........ the RRRROCK!" -Vince McMahon, introducing the Rock before his match with Stone Cold Steve Austin the night after Survivor Series 1998. I think it's partially because I was playing with a tape recorder that night, and I heard the speech about 100 times, but I can still hear every word on Vinnie Mac's intro for the Rock embedded in my head. And to this day, I have never heard heel heat that even approached what the Rock got that night. Honestly, you couldn't hear his theme music for about 10 seconds, because everyone was booing so loud. The heat that Rock had at that point, helped in large part by that short promo, was absolutely unreal.

    How come ESPN neglects

Really? Me too! I went to nationals and everything. I didn't get to the countdown round or anything, (the part they show on TV), but that's just because we never worked on it at my school. The other schools actually practiced regularly on it after school, and at my school, we just spent two class periods on it, (one of which was the qualifying test), and then went down and competed. Even after I got second at state, I never really studied at all.

    Interbrand Match on 7/11 Raw

Why do people ignore the Street Fight with HBK when they're talking about great matches? It was the best match of 2002, god damn it! Also, the Raw match with HBK in December 2003 was undeniably at least a **** match. And for as much as this board creams itself over Benoit's win at WM XX, it should probably get some consideration as a **** match as well.

The OAO RAW Thread - 6/6/05

Bischoff said that if Batista or HHH were traded to Smackdown, the match at Vengeance would still take place and the trade would be in effect after Vengeance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why it puts it in doubt. Normally, everyone would assume that Batista's winning at Vengeance automatically, but if HHH moves to Smackdown, lots of fans will think that HHH might be winning so that Smackdown will have a world title as well.

    NBA Eastern Conference Finals

Why is no one posting about this game? Not only is it the deciding game of the conference finals, it's a damn good game as well. D-Wade's stepping it up in crunch time, as is Shaq, and they're 11 minutes away from dethroning the defending champs.

The OAO RAW Thread - 6/6/05

We all know where this is going and it sucks. Batista's going to beat HHH and go to Smackdown, and the main event of Summerslam will be Cena vs. HHH. I've been looking forward to Batista/Orton for months, and now if it happens at all, it will be on a show I don't even watch.

The REAL champ is here. Fuck Cena. I want Batista to stay on Raw.

    NBA Eastern Conference Finals

I just want to say that everyone should be prepared to see the real Shaquille O'Neal tonight. He's been way too hurt to play up to potential throughout the entire playoffs, but facing elimination against the team that beat him last year, he's going to fight through the pain, play some good D, and get at least 30 and 20 against the Pistons tonight. Having D-Wade back will obviously be huge as well, but Diesel will carry Miami on his back if he needs to.

The OAO RAW Thread - 6/6/05

It's going to be a face, (to play off of heel Jericho on the Highlight reel), and it's going to be a big name. I say it's either RVD or Undertaker.
