    Forum Merge...

If you want to merge folders, merge "Get Your Learn On!" into General Chat. If someone really does need help, they might as well post their message in a folder that people will actually read. Also, I think there are only five topics in the last 30 days. The folder's pretty barren.

    HHH injured neck, collapses

OK, I know I've gone over this in at least one thread before. Brock Lesnar got huge rubs from established stars which built him to the level he rose to. He "ended Hogan's career" when he left him a bloody mess on Smackdown, and then he became the first perso to pin The Rock cleanly in four years. Sure, he didn't get a rub from HHH, but he did get put over by huge, established stars. In addition to that, he was also undefeated for his first six months in the WWE. That's not a gimmick that you can give to every guy that comes down the pike. Second, with only about three months where he was even considering being a face, Batista is more over than John Cena, who they've been building all year. He gets the big Batista chants whenever he's in the ring, and if they just get somebody to help him cut a decent promo every Raw, he'll be over eve bigger in no time.

    New Audioslave Album?

Hey, Audioslave's fucking awesome. There's nothing blah about them at all. Their whole last record was tremendous, and this might be the first CD I actually buy in quite a while.

Hass of Pain, great post. You pretty much expressed my exact feelings about HHH, and you were absolutely dead on the mark. The only thing that keeps you from getting post of the year status is that last paragraph. Evolution's almost as played out as DX now. HHH just needs to turn on Flair, and go back on his own.

    Mania XXII Predictions?

No of course not. The person who ends the streak has to be the future. I've got it narrowed down to either Shane or Stephanie.

Man has been in college for 11 years

Fuck that. I'm finishing up my second year right now, and I already wish I could get out. I know it's an easy lifestyle, but it just seems like an endless line of pointless crap.

    Weird Job Hiring Requirements.

Geez, I want to apply there. I'd tell them how my goal is to get rich gambling, so I can turn into a lazy alcoholic. I'd take 10 beer bongs, play a little poker, and I'd be fucking hired.

    Can you Stump the Schwab?

That guy's fucking ridiculous. They'll ask something like the starting lineup of the 1993 Philadelphia Eagles, and they'll just assume that he's got at least 20 out of 22. He doesn't know golf worth shit though. They were asking how many weeks Tiger Woods was #1 in a tiebreaker for the championship the other day, and he and the other guy were both off by more than two years. I thought that was one of the easier ones, but if the other guy hadn't made a terrible guess, the Schwab would have lost.

    WWE hiring staff writer

Actually, I think after the third consecutive gauntlet match where Benoit beats the entire Raw roster, we'd get a little sick of RRR as head booker. He's got a couple decent ideas, but he's more of a mark for Benoit than HHH is a mark for himself. Also, trying to get HHH off the show wouldn't fly at all. It's not just that he's got political power; he's the top heel, he's as much of a draw as they have nowadays, and it would be retarded to just have him sit home and watch Raw on TV.

    The OC

Actually, I didn't think it looked as good as last week's even. I kind of liked that they could get good storylines without one of the Cohens possibly cheating the past few weeks. Also, the thing with the ecstacy just denies reason. It only makes sense if we eventually find out that Trey did give the girl ecstasy, because otherwise it's just stupid that he'd say he did. I mean really, what could they have done to Marissa? What if the girl just bought it herself before she even got to the party. If anything, that's one of those stupid threats the cops make when they get absolutely desperate.

useless moron Scott Keith's girlfriend XXXPosed

Yeah, honestly, whenever I want to check out how good a match was, I usually just check out the SK rants for a close standard. He's never off more than one star either way. After looking at a picture of him and his girlfriend fiancee though, I can't really say I have respect for him. Just as an aside, I was bored and looked through his blog the other day, and he talked for three paragraphs about how hard it is to make friends with normal people.

    HHH in 2001

Not really. If anything, the refusal to pull the trigger on the Austin/Rocky match was the end of the WWE glory years. The fans wanted to see that more than any other match on earth, and by the time the finally did it, both guys were retired and nobody gave a shit anymore. You can't tell me Austin doesn't work as a heel if they could have drawn a 1.5 buyrate for him taking on Rock at Summerslam. It's tough for anyone to draw well as a heel if you won't put them against the top babyface.

    Mania XXII Predictions?

No, you missed it. Shelton has to turn heel because he has no charisma. Actually, if I was booking, I'd just have Edge do the job next year, and hope that in two years, there was somebody over enough to end Taker's streak.

    HHH injured neck, collapses

Well, if wrestling is cyclical, the bad news is we still have two years to go before it gets good again. Because, Batista's reign is exactly like Diesel's. (Charismatic bodyguard turn on heel champion.) At that rate, we should see the new Austin two or three PPVs from now, and then he should finally hit it big at WM XXIII. I can't really say I see Batista and Orton going to TNA though.

    Mania XXII Predictions?

Actually, Orton's going to be obsessed with Batista when he comes back. If they write it right, they'll have a solid feud which will include a short title run for Orton. I think the perso who beats Taker should be someone who's never faced him at Mania before, and at this point, that would be Edge.

    Hogan to return @ Backlash!

Just a slight note here, as I was guilty of the same thing earlier. Apparently, Bad Blood has been eliminated. The Raw brand PPV after Backlash is Vengeance.

    HHH in 2001

Yeah, HHH is soooo jealous that Jericho got a title reign while he was injured, that he personally ended four months later. This is why Vince thinks the internet fans are all a bunch of marks.

    HHH in 2001

Actually, at the time it looked like their big program for the summer was going to be Austin/Rock. I don't think anyone on earth has a decent explanation for why Austin/Rock didn't headline SummerSlam in 2001. It could have had the biggest non-WM buyrate in history.

    What should HHH do

I think most of the people on the forum agree that HHH needs to move out of the main event spotlight for a while after losing to Batista. My question is who would you have him feud with in the upper midcard after Backlash? Looking at the upper level on Raw, here are the choices: Batista: Obviously not a good plan. In order to continue the feud past Backlash, Trips would probably have to win the title back, and I don't think anyone wants to see that right now. Shawn Michaels: A possibility, but considering they're not even a year removed from the "absolute, final conclusion" to an extremely long-spanning feud, this doesn't look like a good idea. Shelton Benjamin: Got booed on Raw, and is looking like he'll definitely playing the heel in his feud with Jericho if he doesn't give a full-fledged turn. Probably not such a good plan. Chris Jericho: Well, either he'll be the Intercontinental Champion or he'll be coming off yet another PPV loss, after publicly acknowleding that he was on a huge losing streak. Neither one fits with starting a feud with a man wrestling out of the main event for the second time in the last two years. Chris Benoit: The first realistic choice so far. They could definitely build a feud out of their history, but it seems like it would really be anticlimactic at this point. HHH already got a win back, and if Benoit won, it could never come close to matching what they did at Wrestlemania. Kane: Please god no. I almost think he needs to go back under the mask at this point, because his character's so fucking lost that it's almost unwatchable. Well, I didn't start the thread thinking this, but looking at the dearth of options in the upper midcard, I think I'd have to go the unconventional route here, and say Ric Flair. They could just run a storyline where Trips blames Flair for both of the losses, and just go out in the middle of the ring, and beat the living fuck out of Flair to turn him face. There wouldn't be all that much mileage out of a Flair face turn, but if they cut back his schedule a little bit, or had him mentor a new up-and-comer, it could still work. More importantly, it would probably freshen up HHH's character a little bit to have him as a "lone wolf" instead of hiding behind a stable. Thoughts?

    HHH injured neck, collapses

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure he means sells like crazy for everyone he faces to the point that it becomes meaningless. I mean he even sold for the first five minutes of the Rosey/Hurricane match before making his comeback. And if you really wanted to get Benjamin over, it's simple. Let him work his way through the upper midcard on Raw, and then go to Smackdown, and say that Kurt was his protege, but he thinks he's surpassed him now, and he wants to prove he's the better man. Honestly though, both wrestlers need to turn first, because face Benjamin has a built-in ceiling due to his shitty mic skills. Did you hear the boos in his segment with Jericho? I think actually, that the simple act of turning heel would help get him over more than anything that HHH could do right now.

useless moron Scott Keith's girlfriend XXXPosed

I have to say this is definitely one of the funnier ytmnd things I've seen. And by one of the funnier, I mean I think most of them are retarded and this made me laugh out loud for a good 15 seconds. And it's kinda funny to see what a fatass he is; I always used to have this picture in my head of this little skinny guy sitting in front of a computer.

    Mania XXII Predictions?

No, but they will by Survivor Series, or WM XXII at the latest. Business-wise, it just makes too much sense for them not to.

    Devil's Advocate

The Orioles don't need pitching. Rodrigo Lopez is a guaranteed 25-game winner, and with that lineup (possibly the best in the majors), they can just outhit everyone they play. After switching pitching coaches in the middle of last season, they had the second lowest ERA in the AL last year, so there's no reason to think they shouldn't be top five in pitching this year. The Orioles should win 100 games this year, and edge out the Yankees for first in the AL East. Hey, this is fun.

I actually think the new belt looks kinda cool. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.
