The thing that stands out to me is wondering what they were going to do for the last hour, because I hadn't payed attention to WCW in so long that I didn't even know Nitro had been cut back to 2 hours.

By the way, Wisconsin needs to slow things down a lot more. This kind of game only works when they slow things down enough to frustrate the other team. If they play a regular basketball game with Carolina, shooting in the first ten seconds every time down the floor, they're screwed.

Well, my enthusiasm just got tempered a little bit. I thought I just needed Illinois to win the championship and Kentucky to not make it for me to get second in my money pool. However, after rechecking the standings, I see I can lose it if Carolina makes the title game too. So basically, I need Illinois to win the championship over one of the other Big Ten schools. It would take a miracle for Wisconsin or MSU to pull through, but at least I've still got hope for another day.

Why the fuck did they dribble the clock down there? If they would have gotten across halfcourt quickly and then called timeout, they could have gotten a 2 for 1.

What about earlier with Louisville coming back from 20 I want Illinois to lose, largely because I think they've been overrated all year just because of their big win against Wake Forest (and where are they?) There's also that small matter of only losing one game all year. Don't forget that. And this is way better than Louisville's comeback because they were still down 15 with 4 minutes and down 8 with under a minute. They made the entire comeback at the very end of the game.

I can't believe something's finally going my way. All through the second half I was thinking about how this was the most depressing tournament ever, and then Illinois does that. Two steals on throw-ins in the last minute? It's just crazy.

I was scared as fuck there. I thought they called a foul on Head on that shot by Stoudamire there for a second. This is a really awesome game though.

Interesting footnote: That missed dunk at the end there just cost a ton of people money, as Louisville narrowly missed covering the 8 1/2 point spread. I didn't bet on the game or anything, just thought it was funny.
