Well, yeah. I'm sure I'd have a great orgasm if I fucked Rachel Bilson too, but she, like winning the World Series, is a little out of my league.

I don't really have a point right now, but I was kind of hoping people will figure out a point for the topic as it gets going. Anyway, I just wanted to say that kicking ass at poker is one of the purest, most visceral satisfactions on earth. Tonight, while I was fairly intoxicated, I took some suckers on PartyPoker for $150, and it felt just sexual in its satisfaction. Even though I was getting pretty good cards, there was a lot of the time when I could just see I was outsmarting someone, and it felt great. If anyone else wants to rant about this great feeling, they're more than welcome to use this space to do so. It seems that a lot more people are playing some form of poker nowadays anyway, so it only makes sense to have a thread to devoted to the game.

Personally, I'm not much of a Cena fan. His act has been stale to me for over a year now, and he seems to be one of the people that makes wrestling look bad. However, with that being said, he has to win the title at Mania at this point. JBL's reign has been an unmitigated disaster, and if they let him retain at Mania, it's a slap in the face to all the fans that have stuck by Smackdown up to this point. Cena is over with the fans that they have, and it's in the best interest of the brand to let him win the title at the biggest even of the year. If they let JBL win just because they don't want both titles to change hands on the same night, they're basically telling people to just watch Raw because Smackdown sucks.

What I don't get is how you botch the finish that bad on what is essentially the biggest match in company history. It would be like if Andre "accidentally" pinned Hogan at WM 3.

I don't know about his real life, but I would have had a little respect for him anyway. If he's got a problem with Jonathan Davis he should say so, instead of just shitting all over the only significant thing he's ever done in his life.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is the most formulaic show in history. Larry David always does some little thing that he shouldn't, and 17 different coincidences come together to make sure that he gets nailed for it in the most awkward way possible. The degree of the schmucky deed varies (occasionally it's actually not this fault), but he inevitably gets punished for it to a disproportionate level due to bad luck. Oh, and Cops is pretty damn formulaic too. The bad guy always gets caught. Always! Why can't the police department just swallow their pride a little bit and realize that they would have the most popular show on television if they'd mix in some car chases where the bad guy escaped every now and then.

HIV Positive Man charged with First Degree murder,

I think this is a great idea. If he's knowingly spreading the disease to people against the will, he's doing every bit as much damage as someone who rapes somebody and then puts a bullet in their head. If they can think of a more painful death than AIDS, well he deserves it. -
That's why dogs are tight. You hit a dog with a car once, and they totally get what the deal is, and stay out of trouble forever. Every dog I've ever had has gotten hit by a car, but they always end up fine, and they learn a valuable lesson.

Do we really need even more keepers? If there's 13 teams each keeping their top five players, then theoretically, the new teams won't get a shot at any of the top 65 players. I know there will be guys slipping through the cracks here and there, and a couple teams are probably stacked with six stars, but I think that four keepers is plenty. Maybe, you could have the teams designate a fifth option to keep that's still eligible for the supplemental draft, and then if the nobody picks him up, he reverts to the previous team.

Actually, Triple H has a pretty good wrestling mind. Ten years from now, when he's done worrying about his own career, I'm sure he'll do a find job handling creative.

Benoit/Kane over, 'well I kinda sorta want your title a little bit, but not as much as I want to rape Lita."

Well, since I ripped on you so much, I might as well give you some feedback on your column too. I like the idea and the presentation a lot, but I do think you give a little too much credit to TNA and the Indys. I think the big problem is treating the "supercards" and "major shows" the same, regardless of where they're run. When someone like ROH runs a PPV, the fact is they're not just getting less exposure than a WWE PPV, they're getting less exposure than Raw, and in all honesty, they're getting less exposure than Impact. I like how you count an appearance on Impact as being half as important as an appearance on Raw or Smackdown, but I also think you should apply the same principle to all the shows. For example, a TNA PPV should only count half as much as a WWE PPV. And if ROH runs two big shows a month, then those should probably count about 1/4 as much as a TNA PPV. You don't need to completely cut the lower level guys out of the Top 25, but when Samoa Joe and CM Punk are seen as being pushed stronger than Kurt Angle and Undertaker over the course of the year, it's a little too slanted. If you had Jeff Jarrett down around the level of Shawn Michaels, and you had Samoa Joe down where he was maybe between the Big Show and Rey Mysterio for the course of the year, I think that would be a lot more fair and balanced.

Yeah, definitely a good show. Sandy having temptations just makes his human; the way he rejected it establishes the kind of guy that he really is. And the fact of the matter is that Lindsey and Zach were both pretty dull, and they were dragging the show down. Phasing them out of the show is an excellent move in the long run. I still say Alex has some potential, and they could carry out the lesbian relationship a little longer before Marissa and Ryan get back together, but the show's definitely going in the right direction. This episode was thoroughly enjoyable, and it's kind of tight that Seth can get pussy just like that while "Mr. Perfect" Zach waits seven months for a trip to Italy and he still gets shut down.

I really hope Taker doesn't do the job. The thing is that Orton just changed his gimmick from the legend killer thing a little while ago, and picking it up again really wouldn't do much right now. The Taker rub at Mania could be huge in the right situation, but I think Orton would actually get a better rub from turning heel on Batista right now. Just let the face thing kind of float along a little while longer, and then he can use some unfair advantage to beat the fuck out of Batista out of jealousy that he beat Trips where Orton couldn't. That would also be a much better story, interest-wise, and would help keep Raw's ratings going steady when Batista's done with HHH. It just seems like Orton beating Taker wouldn't go anywhere right now. Even if they are convinced that they want Orton to be the one to end the streak, they'd be better off having him lose to Taker clean this year, work the year on Raw with a title reign or two, and then go to Smackdown before Mania next year to try and avenge the loss.

It's pretty tough to draw ratings when you're always facing people like Heidenreich. If they put him in a decent feud against someone with a smidgen of credibility he'd do fine. Yeah, he's "main evented" a couple PPVs lately, but it's really not his fault if he doesn't draw against the Dudleys or in a transition feud with JBL. And his opponents are the major problem with the ring work too. He might not be able to carry a shitty worker at this point, but I bet that if the Orton match goes down at Mania, he'll hit at least three and a half stars. The fact is that Smackdown needs the Undertaker right now, because if Angle retires, he'll be the only one left with any name value at all. Smackdown may be a B-show right now, but if Undertaker and Angle were gone, it would turn into something more like a C-show. The ratings would fall twice as far as they have so far in a matter of months.

The Cougars played a pretty good game tonight, but they couldn't quite beat Arizona. 'Zona got a cheap foul call to take the lead with 9 seconds left in OT and then Low ignored a wide open Thomas Kelati and jacked up an ugly three which he missed to lose the game. And for the record, if they'd held on, I would have totally rushed the court, but that's only because we haven't beaten a ranked team at home in forever, and getting the sweep on Arizona would have been a huge lift for the program. As for Georgia Tech, there aren't really odds on them going to the Final Four yet, but if they have a decent finish to their season and they don't get Duke or Illinois in their bracket, you can bet I'll put a pretty hefty sum on them making it back.

He's actually not to bad in the basketball thread. It was only during football season that the whole sports folder wanted to kill him.

HD posts don't count toward your total? 1) Why? and 2) OMG! I'm never posting in HD again!

All right. Now Dallas should at least get by Sacramento and move into the second round. Phoenix doesn't have any playoff experience. Who knows, maybe the Mavs will get by them too. Granted, there's no way in hell the Mavs will ever win a playoff series against the Spurs, but with no NHL, I'll just settle for having a sport to follow for another month or so since the Orioles should be out of the AL East race by.....oh, who am I kidding, they're already out.

This is fucking stupid. I don't even care about Korn all that much, but you shouldn't quit doing the one thing you're kinda good at just so that you can sit around thinking about a dead guy all day. Oh, and why would be Jesus be offended by a dog hanging out in a strip club anyway?

Could Van Dam be a viable WWE main eventer?
iggymcfly replied to Superfly Snuka's topic in The WWE Folder
When RVD comes back, they need to keep him out of shitty boring tag matches with random jobbers. If he wrestled only single/multi man matches, and found excuses to use ladders/chairs in a lot of them, he could get over again easily. When you're whole gimmick is your broad "hardcore" moveset, you can't wrestle four minute tag matches with a frog splash as the only possible highspot, or of course people will lose interest. As for the title shot, it's great, but they need to wait until Cena's reign is over and a credible heel's held the title for a while. If Big Show or Taker had a solid monster heel run for a few months, I think Rob would be perfect to win the title around Survivor Series time or maybe even next year's Wrestlemania the way title reigns have ben running lately. -
No, I'm pretty sure the WWE's ready to put all their chips in on Batista. He's probably going to get the Lesnar push from here with a good long title reign, and a push where he's booked to be absolutely unstoppable. Batista won't lose clean until at least Survivor Series, and after Mania, I really doubt HHH gets the belt back for at least a year.

Well, there is the tape trading forum. I suppose that could be transformed without too much trouble. I think for now this thread is working pretty well though. BTW, does anyone have the WM X-7 main event? That was before I started watching PPVs and I always wanted to see that match. If anyone has the HBK/HHH streetfight from SS 2002, that would be great too. At the time, I thought it was the best match I'd ever seen, and I'm kinda curious to see if it sill holds up without the hot angle.
