Pedophiles get a bad rap. Bitches used to pop out kids at 14 all the time. Maybe I just feel a stronger connection to this group now that I've officially joined by not being into Arrested Development. The only network TV show I even watch is the OC, but I'd still put that ahead of Arrested Development. It's mildly funny, but nothing worth watching regularly.

A nice little twist might be for Batista to say that he's challenging JBL for the title, only to have HHH try to talk him into challenging him on Raw, so that he can lay down and make sure HHH retains at Mania. That woud finally piss Dave off enough that he just clocks HHH and says "You want me to face you at Wrestlemania? Oh, I'll face you. But I'm not laying down, I'm going to win the World Heavyweight Title." Then he could pick HHH up, powerbomb him, and hold up the title before walking off.

Cincinnatti, Michigan State, and Alabama are all kind of in that same are where they don't have any really good wins, but they don't have any bad losses either. One big game either way could clarify a lot for any one of them.

I'd go with the Rock/Orton idea for Mania, and then let Randy play kind of a tweener character until he turns on Batista. As long as they don't telegraph the turn, I think it could be great for the Raw ME scene.

Well, I've got 40 legit. EDIT: Misread the detailed results thread to think that Edge might have been the Ironman, but apparently he wasn't.

I'm pretty sure that this feud will get going faster than you think. Batista will probably give a quick tease about going to Smackdown or laying down for the title, and then he'll shake HHH's hand and powerbomb him. I can see them dragging this out for one extra week, but that's about it.

I usually don't bother breaking down quotes bit by bit, but I think this time I might just have to. First off, Eddie Guerrero and Rock only worked together once, and they had one of the longest, most boring, rambling promos in the history of Raw. That makes me say they have no chemistry. We've argued about the HHH/HBK match in at least seven or eight thtreads, so I'll just leave that one alone, but as for the Taker/Rock comparison, it's absolutely true. The Rock never put anyone over until he was semi-retired, making movies. He put over Brock Lesnar because he knew that he didn't need the WWE anymore, but before that he hadn't jobbed clean in over 3 years. HHH jobs clean at least every month or two, and it's completely dismissed, but when Rock does it after he's retired, he's a fucking saint. People talk about how HHH cut the legs off of Jericho, but really Rock had already completely buried him before HHH even had a chance. He rubbed it in Jericho's face for months that he couldn't beat him clean and that none of his wins meant anything, and then in the blowoff to the feud, he made Jericho set a record for number of cheating methods to beat him. Undertaker jobs to people that have talent, (Angle, Brock,) and sometimes when he's facing crappy midcarders with a lame gimmick (Cena) he wins. Huge difference between that and Rock squashing the entire roster for years, usually in handicap matches. I guess I've just imagined Booker's entire career. First off, I was referring to his time in WWE. He did seem somewhat interesting in the hell that was WCW, and he's even carved out a niche as a formulaic midcard player in the WWE. But since joining WWE, he has never been over at anywhere near the level of HHH, RVD, or even Batista at their peaks. The fans resented him instantly after WCW came in and he and Buff Bagwell had one of the worst matches the WWE has ever seen. And they continued to resent him for quite a while. He had get off my TV heat for quite a while. Finally, he got teamed up with Goldust. He played the straight man for Goldust's skits which happened to be the funniest stuff that Goldust has ever done in his career. He got over, but it wasn't due to anything that he did, and it had nothing to do with his personal skill whatsoever. OK, now you're completely wrong. He was the straight man to a midcard joke. This is like saying Regal was the most over face on Raw when Eugene was getting his push. Even though you apparently hate him, HBK was much more over than Booker T during his feuds with HHH, and RVD was more over as well. Shit, Steiner was more over until the fans actually saw him wrestle. And that's only over about a seven month period after the shows split. When Booker first won the little mini-rumble to get the shot, he had very minimal heat. It was only when HHH started turning the feud into the rich snob versus the common man (the gimmick that got Austin over), that Booker started getting heat. HHH actually cut great promos to build up Booker as well, and if it wasn't for Booker's terrible wooden acting, the fans probably would have gotten behind Booker enough for him to get the belt. However, Booker's "angry" act is about as believable as Torrie Wilson's so WWE management wisely decided to pull the plug without ever letting him win the title. I'll agree that the feud didn't end up accomplishing anything, but that was 100% Booker's fault. I really believe that if he'd done a decent acting job during the feud, they would have given him at least a short reign with the belt. The fact that Jericho's a better wrestler than Nash is terrible justification for why Booker should have won the title. The thing is, since Nash never won the title, once the feud was over, we could just forget it ever happened, and the title still had lots of respect going into the next feud. However, in a case like Eddie and JBL on Smackdown over the last year, people just think "Oh, there's no one decent to fight for the title, this show sucks, that title doesn't mean anything anymore." The point is that RVD was hot in the fall of 2001. Then he lost his title match, got brought down to the midcard, and then just when they were teasing a return to the top of the card (his fake title win against Taker), he oses to Brock Lesnar. All the heat that he got by going undefeated through his first few months in the WWE was completely dissipated. When they're trying to establish a new title, the last thing they want to do is transition it to someone who's got the stigma of a "mid-card loser" only three weeks after its formation. You can call me names in ALL CAPS if you want, and act like you're making a point, but really all you're doing is saying that your argument's right because it's right. You might as well just say HHH sucks because he's GAY. He makes Raw BAD. You're a LOSER if you like him. Booker T's COOL! And HHH beat him. That's BULLSHIT! Booker should have winned because he's BETTER. HHH is a STUPIDHEAD! I mean really, the only thing more annoying than you're complete lack of logic is your writing style.

So, umm, what were the answers and who won? I'm too lazy to figure this all out myself.

Who's still available in terms of good FA starting pitchers and what are the chances the Orioles will actually sign one? Also, do you think Peter Angelos is even trying to get the O's in contention, because I kinda have the feeling that he figures he can't compete with the Red Sox and Yankees, so he just signs a couple big name guys every year that he figures will get fans to the ballpark.

Yeah, I'd give Nash the edge over LeBron at this point just due to the fact that the Suns are a championship contender and the Cavs really aren't at this point. I think the Cavs would be just as lost without James as the Suns were without Nash, but the fact that the Suns accomplished more with Nash should be enough to make him the frontrunner for the MVP at this point. You know, during the offseason, I said that if the Suns just resigned Nash and traded Nowitzki for Shaq, they'd be guaranteed two rings. I wish they'd done it. I guess from a financial standpoint, it's better to have a good tea for eight years, then a championship team for two years, and a mediocre team later, but with the way that Shaq and Nash have been playing this year, you can't deny that they'd be awesome together.

Dick Bennett basically wanted to get his son Tony a head coaching job. So he agreed to come coach Wazzu for a while and turn around the program, all the while grooming Tony to take over, even letting him coach a couple games. I think the plan is that Dick Bennett will stay about four or five years before handing over the reins.

I think Stephanie's dog was at one point as over as Booker T in 2002. No one ever gave a shit about him at all, and after Goldust left, he wasn't even getting cheers until he got to leech off of HHH's heat. HHH did everything he could to put him over other than giving him the title, and if he had won the title at that time, it would have just destroyed the credibility of the belt anyway. Booker has never really been over at any point in his WWE run. I will agree that RVD was over enough to be champ at one point, but he wasn't held down by HHH. When he needed the title was at Royal Rumble 2002 or at the latest, Summerslam. By the time he faced HHH, he'd lost too much heat to gain much from a title win.

Guy tries to kill himself, but decides to live...

I just don't get the point of using the car. Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to just lay down in the tracks when the train came? When you're too lazy to get out of the car wen you're ENDING YOUR LIFE, that's pretty fucking sad. -
No, someone important.

It still seems like they have no direction whatsoever though, and they're just throwing stuff agaist the wall. Like this Caleb/Ryan thing; according to the previews, he's gonna have a stroke or something as soon as Ryan confronts him. That's not a storyline going somewhere. It's just a bunch of random coincidences happening to try to keep people interested. As far as Seth and Summer go, I really could care less if they get back together right now. Seth is still not having too much trouble getting action, and now instead of the nerd that just wants to have a couple friends and a chance with the hot chick, he's this boring kid that wants to hole up in his room and draw. If anything, I tend to feel sorry for Ryan that he's stuck with Seth and Zach. The whole cool OC dynamic's disappearing. What we're left with is a bunch of boring kids who never really do anything, except break up and get together every day like they're in middle school, and then Marissa who's ready to basically become a HS dropout at 17. What happened to the best and the brightest? The rich kids who pop over to Vegas or Tijuana whenever they feel like it, go to parties with soap stars, and are still on the fast track to the Ivy League. Maybe Luke should come back, give Summer the fuck of her life, and make her drop that douchebag Zach. That might set things back on the right path.

I don't know if this is weird or not, but I just had a dream that Ashlee Simpson killed herself because of her awful singing. It's kind of weird because that was about the only defining feature of the dream. Well, someone else killed themselves too but I can't remember who.

If I was an OU fan, I wouldn't have wanted to see that Orange Bowl either. Apparently, she just knows her sports.

Five point questions: 1) The winner of the 2005 Royal Rumble will be: Batista 2) Who will be the "Ironman" of the 2005 Royal Rumble? Edge 3) Who will last the shortest amount of time in the ring? Mark Jindrak 4) Who will get the most eliminations? (If there is a tie, you get your points as long as your guy was one of the guys who tied for most eliminations) Batista 5) Who will be the last man eliminated? John Cena Three point questions...pick the man who will be in the Royal Rumble the LATEST (not who lasts the longest) out of the two choices below: 6) Rey Mysterio or Eddie Guerrero 7) Edge or Shawn Michaels 8) Chris Jericho or Shelton Benjamin 9) Daniel Puder or Hardcore Holly 10) Chris Benoit or Muhammad Hassan 11) Paul London or Scotty 2 Hotty 12) Jonathan Coachman or the Hurricane 13) Booker T or Orlando Jordan 14) Kane or Gene Snitsky 15) Batista or John Cena One point questions: 16) Who will draw #'s `1-4? (One point for each correct person) Christian, Scotty 2 Hotty, Hardcore Holly, Kane 17) Who will be the last four men in the ring? (One point for each correct person) Ric Flair, Booker T, John Cena, Batista 18) Who will be the last RAW superstar eliminated? Ric Flair 19) Who will be the last Smackdown superstar eliminated? John Cena 20) Who will draw #'s 27-30 (One point for each correct person) Shelton Benjamin, Booker T, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair 21) True or False: Coach will eliminate at least one person from the Rumble 22) True or False: We will see a surprise return sometime during the Rumble 23) True or False: Batista will eliminate Ric Flair 24) True or False: Somebody in the Rumble match will blade 25) True or False: HHH will interfere in the Rumble match in some way TIEBREAKER QUESTION: Give the exact time this year's Rumble match will last: 63:09 And even though it won't happen, how sick would it be for Brock to come back at the Rumble, get the 30 spot, and then get eliminated by Batista anyway? That would put Batista over huge.

The gateway drug argument is, in my opinion, the stupidest argument ever formed to justify the illegality of marijuana. The only reason marijuana is a gateway drug is because it's illegal. Right now you've got two bridges between sober living and hard drugs. You've got alcohol which is dangerous but legal, and the you have marijuana which is illegal, but not dangerous. I guarantee that the legalization of marijuana would reduce hard drug usage way more than all the billions of dollars that the government could possibly spend on prosecutions and advertising. I'm glad to see that most of the people in this thread are level-headed, but the idea that the government wants to destroy civil rights and hand out unprecedented punishments in such a fruitless and unconstitutional effort is really disgusting.

This episode was pretty boring. Marissa's storyline was alright, but no one cares about Zach, Seth has gotten incredibly boring, Summer's trapped in limbo, and Ryan hardly has anything to do anymore. Sandy's storyline was a little better, but it's far from captivating.

They're going with reruns already? They've only had three episodes! How the hell do they expect to get people hooked on the show when they're doing reruns before it even gets going?

The only WHOO WHOO WHOO commercial I know is the McDonalds one. You know, "at least I don't spin the wrapper around on my nose anymore and go WHOO WHOO WHOO".

I'm just reading this again, and it's still funny.

When the only words you have to write yourself are the title and you still manage to spell "articles" wrong, you know you're in trouble.
