$6. I used to try to keep at least $1000 in there at all times for poker, but I've been running bad lately and all my money's online right now.

WON News + Notes, 4th December Issue
iggymcfly replied to The Decemberists's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't buy this. Close to half of the PPVs that I've ever watched, I watched solely to see Kurt Angle. Not just because he was a good wrestler, but because I could get into his character enough to really care whether he won or lost. If I wasn't so jaded with wrestling right now, and if the little bit of TNA I'd seen hadn't been absolutely terrible, I might have started watching it just to see Angle. -
I-AA Semis start tonight with Massachusets vs. Montana. I was actually thinking about going, but tickets sold out early in the week which they never do when it's cold out. Anyway, looks like it will be a good game with 23,000 strong (which is way louder than 30,000 at a Pac-Ten school) ready to cheer on the Grizzlies.

How can I do better than Princess Cunt? That just has a ring to it. I guess it does sound a little on the heelish side though. In all seriousness, I think you should just stick with Princess Leena at this point. Everyone recognizes you under that handle instantly. I hate trying to have to play the "X poster used to be Y poster" game to keep track of who everyone is all the time. I think at this point, people just think of you instead of the name anyway. No one thinks, "oh her name has princess in it, she must be trying to start shit".

I agree that Boise's got a great shot to win, but as far as the line goes, they're an 8-point underdog, the same as Florida and only one point better than Notre Dame. So I guess the betting public doesn't think too much of the Broncos.

Early BCS predictions: BCS Championship Ohio State 31 Florida 17 The Gators defense will keep them in the game and maybe even get them a cheap score, but I can't see them competing with the Buckeyes for 60 minutes. Sugar Bowl LSU 41 Notre Dame 16 The 2nd most talented team in the country will rape the Irish in front of a partisan crowd. Honestly, I think 25 points might be conservative. Rose Bowl Michigan 17 USC 13 Both teams are going to come out flat, pissed off about how they either deserved or blew a title shot. Michigan wins an ugly defensive battle. Fiesta Bowl Boise State 37 Oklahoma 34 2OT This should be one of the best games of the bowl season, as Boise State's explosive rushing attack meets up with the Sooners. Motivational edge, if not overall talent should be enough to carry the Broncos to victory here. Orange Bowl Louisville 28 Wake Forest 24 The Cardinals don't play real well anywhere but Papa John's. They should turn the ball over a few times to keep the Demon Deacons in the game, but in the end, their talent on the offensive side of the ball will be too much.

God, this coaches poll makes me so mad. Florida picks up their second or third best win of the year and leaps up 66 points in the coaches poll in relation to Michigan. 66 points! How could that one Arkansas game make such a big difference. You know what it was? These assholes hadn't really analyzed the situation themselves all year, so they listened to the CBS announcing crew for the SEC Title game, listened to Urban Meyer, and decided that their arguments were good enough to let the Gators take it. Or, even worse, decided that Florida/Ohio State would be a "more fun game" and destroyed the integrity of the polls to that effect. God, this is such bullshit.
-
This is ridiculous. Michigan won every game they were supposed to win this year (you're not supposed to win at the home stadium of the #1 team in the country), and even with less chances, they picked up a better win than Florida did all year (47-21 at Notre Dame). Yes, Florida played more bowl teams and played in a tougher conference, but I think Michigan would had a lot better chance of going 13-0 with Florida's schedule than Florida would of going 12-0 with Michigan's slate.

Whoo hoo! Whoo hoo! Whoo hoo! I am very, very pleased to accept my invitation to the Pepsi Blue Bored Bowl on behalf of Georgia Tech. As far as Miami goes, I'm sure they're a great team and all, but after spanking them two games in a row... let's just say I'm not too worried. After how ugly the real game was today, I'm happy that at least one Jackets team will be bringing a championship to Atlanta.
-
They were stupid though. I'm the only one you need to listen to. Not only did I have USC as a shaky #4, I also predicted their loss to USC. Hypothetical UM/UF matchup, I set the line at Michigan -4.
-
The point is that the debate isn't about who you want to see in the title game. The debate is about who is the second best team in the country. Your argument is about as vaild as saying "well, Michigan and Florida are pretty even, but my aunt lives in Ann Arbor, so I think Michigan should get in".
-
Not really. I went 13-6 thus far. From Bored's comment though, either the WVU game decided it or an Oregon State win puts you in the title game.
-
That's all you can ask for if you're Rutgers there. They got it into Ray Rice's hands, and he just couldn't hold on to it.
-
Heck of a finish between WVU and Rutgers, going into the 2nd OT now.
-
No, they're not. It will be OSU/Michigan in Glendale. Even if Florida beats Arkansas by 50, if people had Michigan ahead of Florida beforehand, they're not going to change. Actually, this is incorrect. The average pollster has a memory of about three days, and if Florida blew out Arkansas by 4 or 5 TDs, I think they'd get to #2. However, with it at 17-14 right now, and Arkansas scoring a TD right as most pollsters changed the channel, I think Michigan's looking pretty secure.

FYP.

Bumped to brag. And yes, Spicy, I bet $400 on the Bruins today at the ripe line of +13. Fuck USC!
-
Whoo hoo! Fuck USC! I really hope Michigan doesn't get jewed in favor of Florida now. The Wolverines are the best team in the country (yes I said it), and they deserve another shot at the Buckeyes. They will beat OSU if they get a rematch.
-
I don't think it was a bad move. They've got the lead and USC hasn't shown anything all day. Just don't turn it over and make Booty try to beat you himself.
-
I can't believe they tried to run that quick pitch again. They already got the TD off of it; no way they get it to work twice.
-
If UCLA beats USC, that would totally make up for Georgia Tech losing today. I'd love to see the Trojans blow their shot at the title, and UCLA's playing well enough to take it from them.
-
If you're going to take a timeout there, why not challenge the spot of the ball? It looked like he was at least up to the yellow line, and they spotted it almost a full yard short. I mean if you want the timeout anyway, it's worth a shot right? As is, I think you have to kick the field goal though.
-
Yeah, I hate the roughing the passer rules too, but there was a helmet to helmet call on GT for hitting a Wake Forest running back in the first half that was just as bad so I guess it evened out.

He was actually having a good enough year to make me optimistic until a couple weeks ago. He had great games against Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Miami to lead them to the division title. I wrote off the Clemson game to him being hurt, and figured he'd lead the Jackets past Louisville in the Orange Bowl and finish the year with the Georgia Tech having a Top 10 ranking. It wasn't until last week that he just completely reverted to his freshman year play. Watching these last two games, I can't even enjoy them, because I just throw up in my mouth every time one of the Johnsons gets wide open and Ball misses them by five yards.
