    "Dining and Ditching"

That's a pretty fucked up restaurant if gthey make the manager/wait staff pay for people who DnD. If I worked there and they tried that shit on me, I'd figure out some way to steal it back from them.

TSM AL Only Fantasy Baseball League.

I wish the baseball season started a few weeks later. During the NCAA tournament, I really could give a fuck less about the whole sport, and I really have no interest in fantasy leagues whatsoever. However, during the long, boring (sports-wise) summer where there's nothing to follow but baseball, it's almost mandatory to have a fantasy team just so there's something to keep your interest. As a result, I usually do one or two leagues which I'm ill-prepared for draft-wise, and either have to dig myself out of a hole when I get interested later or just stay shitty.

    This week in the NBA

OMG! Has fanofcoils hijacked another thread? Ban please. Granted, I've been flaming/flamebaiting him a little, but at least I contribute to the forums positively most of the time. Everything fanofcoils posts is trite, trivial, and argumentative. Maybe we could do something like the "suspended from the WWE folder" thing, except he'd be suspended to the WWE folder, so that he'd have to leave the rest of the forums alone.

Racists fucks planning to ruin world cup

This is the line that made me laugh. They take soccer so god damn seriously that they have special laws that force the crazy fucks to surrender their passports on the day of a soccer game. How ridiculous is that?

    V for Vendetta

Whew, glad that argument's over. The more I read about this movie, the more I want to see it. Sometime in the week, (maybe when there are no tourney games on), I'm going to make sure I get out to the theater.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

I can actually afford quite a bit when it comes to gambling. I'm up a little over $5,000 playing poker this month, so some recreational sports betting doesn't really hurt me. I'm down $800 on the tourney so far, and I just made a $200 bet on LSU that I think will get paid off if I win with someone at the poker room I usually play at, (although I can't be sure of course). I'm definitely going to bet some more online, but how much I'm not sure. I'd say somewhere between $250 and $800 sounds about right. Oh, and Teke, if you can find somewhere that gives you 10:1 on LSU to win the title, you should take it in a heartbeat, but the last time I checked they're only 7:2. They're actually the second favorite to win it all right now behind UConn.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

I'm thinking of making a ridiculously large bet on LSU next week to cover all my tournament losses. I just don't see how UCLA can beat them considering how bad they've been playing lately. They wouldn't have even gotten by Gonzaga if it wasn't for a monster choke job, and the game against Memphis might have been the worst performance in an Elite Eight win ever.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Words cannot describe how bad this game was. They just can't.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

I can't believe how bad Memphis has been playing tonight. It's like they're in on CBS's plan to give the game to UCLA. Honestly, substitute George Mason for Memphis tonight, and they'd be up by 25 or 30.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Would it be fair to say that this is the worst game of the tournament so far? If you add up the missed free throws, the bad turnovers, and the times that someone's failed to finish from inside three feet, it's got to be close to triple digits by now.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Now, that I've had some time to cool down, I'll say I was a little bit effusive with the Big Baby praise. At 6' 9", (god, can't believe he's only that tall), he might have some trouble trying to be a post player in the NBA. Still though, I do think LSU looks like they might be the most talented team in this tournament right now, and if they play their game, (work it down low, don't jack up threes), they should be able to beat UConn.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Yeah, you were right Teke. Blame the network coverage. Honestly, the only SEC team I'd seen play more than once this year was Tennessee. If I'd seen how Glen Davis and Tyrus Thomas were developing over the course of the year, I might have been singing a different tune. It's not just the points they score; they completely change the game on the defensive end. There's no other team in college basketball right now that has two legitimate shot-blockers on the interior like that. They kind of remind of me UConn when they had Okafor except I think Davis is more talented than Okafor, and Thomas is better than Boone and Villanueva combined.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Scratch that "useless on the perimeter" comment. That was a gorgeous 3. The last performance that impressed me like this was VY in the Orange Bowl. Honestly, I think Glen Davis will be better than Duncan and Shaq in a few years, and will be regularly competing with D-Wade and LeBron for MVP trophies.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Well, LSU totally fucked up that last possession. Thomas hardly even touched the ball there and Davis only had it on the perimeter where he's useless. I have to say though, having not watched much SEC ball this year, I'm incredibly impressed with Tyrus Thomas and "Big Baby" Glen Davis. They look like they'll be awesome NBA players some day.

    The Da Vinci Code

I haven't read it, but it seems like a big favorite among uninteresting people. You know, an easy way for them to say "hey, I read books!" I agree completely. Whenever someone says "Did you read the Da Vinci Code?", I expect them to follow it up with something like "Wasn't it awful what happened to that girl on American Idol?"

    V for Vendetta

Actually, I've got to thank atomsk for posting the other thread too. Amazingly, it's also an argument with liberal use of the "no-sold" term even though it's from six months prior. I don't usually hijack threads, but I can't help re-posting these gems: I mentioned before, which you no sold, because Meltzer is the number 1 source. His word is basically fact, here it isn't always. There is no point of asking the question if I can get it from Meltzer (if he sells). Here isn't as good overall as Meltzer. Knowledgeable wrestling fans, but not as knowledgeable as him.

    V for Vendetta

No sold. That was it. He was trying to say no show. But then he didn't have the right definition for that either, as he was just using it for people that were never planned to be on the show because they were injured or were out of the fed. For instance, he'd say something like Christian no sold the Royal Rumble this year because he (fanofcoils) would have liked to see him in a tag match.

    V for Vendetta

This guy's still around? I thought he got shamed off of the forum a long time ago. I don't remember exactly what the argument was about, but I remember that it had something to do with Kevin Nash, and that his position was absolutely ridiculous. Oh, and the argument had to do with him completely misusing a word. Because he has the vocabulary of a 12 year old. (Fanofcoils, if you actually are 12, then I apologize.) Oh, and as for the movie, I was kind of the fence with seeing it, but if it's about taking down the fascist Christians that use morality to take over the world, then you can count me in.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Yeah, I didn't feel like posting after the Duke game, but they played terrible. I am now officially convinced that Redick won't be good in the NBA. If there's a shotblocker down low, he becomes more one-dimensional than Steve Kerr. I mean, honestly, how many shots did he get blocked tonight? 10? 12? That performance could drop him from a potential lottery pick all the way to the second round.

    Edge Interview

No. Cena/Edge, with Cena chasing was actually working. No sense in putting RVD in the main event. Too bad that Trips blew his Flair program already because they should have saved that for Mania instead. It was working because it was new. After staring at Cena holding the belt for nine months, the fans were interested to see if the company was finally moving in a new direction. Cena's fans came out of the woodwork to see if he could win the belt, and the people who hate Cena and Edge got hopeful that a new face would come on the scene to win the belt from Edge. However, there's no way that they could have stretched it out to Mania. After 2 1/2 months, the fans would get sick of Cena chasing Edge and would give the match Brock/Goldberg heat if it was the WM main event.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Actually, I've been trying to enjoy Morrison's misery just because I can't stand him, but I couldn't really enjoy the tears. I remember people crying after out last HS football game, and there is plenty of reason for it. It's not just that you lost the game; it's that the thing you've put so much effort into for the last four years is over.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Actually, this is good enough. Morrison's team blowing a 15 point lead is enough for them to be remembered for what they were. His crying in the middle of the floor is just a bonus.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

Is there some way that both teams can lose? I really don't want to see Gonzaga or UCLA in the Elite 8. The worst part is that even if they lose now, they can't really be considered failures, since they would have either lost to a 1 seed or made the Final Four.

    College Hoops: The Regionals

I'm going to kill someone at CBS. My affiliate showed Gonzaga have a TIMEOUT during the last minute of the WVU/Texas game, and didn't even switch over for the buzzer beater. Apparently, since I'm 200 miles away from Spokane, I must be all over Morrison's jock so much that I don't want to see what sounds like the best moment of the tournament so far. Fuck this bullshit.

    Failure to Launch

Yeah, I saw "Failure to Launch" against my better judgement because I heard it was funny. Well, it wasn't at all. Not even close. It's kind of like if you took "Saving Silverman" and cast it with a bunch of people that had no idea how to do comedy, and then replaced all the jokes with people getting bit by animals. If you want to see Matthew McConaughey focus on how sexy he thinks he is for two hours though, this might be your show. As a comparison, I thought "Wedding Crashers" was slightly funny, but really slow, and "40 Year Old Virgin" was a little better, but still mediocre, so if you were one of the people that thought those two movies were HILARIOUS, then you'll probably like this too. I seriously don't know what's happened to the modern comedy though. Lately, they've just been getting worse and worse and people act like they're still great. It seems like nothing that's actually funny has come out since "Anchorman".
