I hadn't seen "Diversity Day" before and when I saw that "black" note card, I started laughing hysterically for about a minute and a half. Great stuff. Oh, and I also liked where Michael starts stereotypically berating the Indian woman that was in the other room until she breaks down and slaps him, and then he deadpans "now she knows what it feels like to be a minority." Hilarious episode.

Not just Florida State, but Michigan as well. The Wolverines' overall resume looks solid, but they've lost 7 of their last nine, and that might be enough to knock them out. Hofstra, you're still alive!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. As far as I'm concerned George Mason's hopes ended as soon as the suspension was announced. Unless every game goes perfect, (FSU and A&M both lose, every lower conference team capable of getting an at large wins their conference), the CAA's going to be a one-bid league.

Did you watch the game? He had 13 assists including about 4 or 5 passes that no one else on that team could have made. He didn't make all the shots, but he made the offense go, and he hit the three at the end that absolutely had to go down. She was saying that the 'Cuse wouldn't have won the game if he hadn't made the shots he did, especially the 30 footer that sent the game to OT. It was a sarcastic remark about him being overrated. Nah, I think you missed this one. Leena's on the anti-Gerry bandwagon, and she's saying he actually hurt the team by missing shots earlier, while sarcastically defending him. I was just pointing out the error of her ways. Moving on, I think that between the 'Cuse and GW games earlier, Hofstra's fucked now. Texas A&M and Florida State also probably need wins in their respective tournaments to avoid dropping out of the bracket.

Great, great game there. Syracuse is really coming on at the end of the season, and I could see them making the same kind of run that West Virginia did last year going into the tournament. McNamara just won't let them lose when it really matters.
-
And it's over! Syracuse wins!
-
CLUTCH! McNamara's the fucking man!
-
'Cuse up 11 at the half now. McNamara with 10 assists.
-
Interesting game right now in the Big East tourney. Syracuse is up 22-12 on UConn with about 8:00 left in the first half. "Selfish" McNamara has 3 points, 6 assists, and no turnovers.

Fixed your post.

Hospitals are gay. When I got my DUI, they took me to the hospital for a mild concussion, and now I have a $4000 medical bill to pay off. And that's with insurance. (Not very good insurance though, apparently.)

Dogbert, transfer into Communications now. If you're feeling this way about Poli-Sci this early, there's no way you'll make it through four years. Also, this early in your schooling, most of your credits will transfer anyway. If you hustle up and work hard from here on out, you could actually still graduate on time even with a change in majors.

Their whole resume looks worthy of a one seed, but the committee does take into account how you finish the season. If Duke finishes the season on a three-game losing streak, there's no way that they'll be a 1 seed. With that being said, I'm sure they'll come back strong to beat Miami or Virginia, so it shouldn't be an issue. I think they can afford a loss in the second round of the ACC tourney without dropping to a 2 seed.

Well, the atmosphere for Duke/UNC is pretty special, but as far as the games go, yes, the NCAA is that good. The kids play with way more enthusiasm and energy and generally try a lot harder than the NBA players do. The NBA players may be taller, but the college kids work the ball around better, play much better defense and sometimes even shoot better than the pros. If you're looking for enjoyment watching over a short period of time then college basketball is way ahead of the pros.

I haven't followed his career or anything, but just watching the fight last night, I was really impressed with Calzaghe. He seemed way too fast for Lacy and he hardly got touched despite fighting aggressively for 12 rounds. I don't doubt that Lacy's gameplan was bad, but you can't put the whole fight on that. He just looked completely outclassed in there against someone who was a far superior boxer.

If Duke played UConn's schedule, they'd likely have the exact same record they do now. With the unbalanced schedule, playing in the Big East isn't actually all that tough. UConn only had to play WVU, Pitt, and G'Town once each and WVU was the only one of those on the road. Also, Texas and Memphis were both very tough non-conference tests that Duke passed with flying colors. As things stand now, I think UConn's guaranteed a one seed, and Duke and Villanova are each one win away from locking one up (which they should both do with ease.) Memphis should get the last 1 seed, but it will probably go to Ohio State if they win out. Here's how I'd seed the top teams at this point. 1 seeds: UConn, Duke, Villanova, Memphis 2 seeds: Ohio State, Gonzaga, Texas, Illinois 3 seeds: Tennessee, George Washington, LSU, North Carolina 4 seeds: Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Boston College, UCLA

God, that show sounds so completely unappealing. Everything I read in the preview just made me want to not watch the show.

Somebody here was just saying than everyone likes football, but MLB is jst a small regional base so while 20% of the country lists it as their "favorite sport", the rest of the country doesn't give a shit whereas everyone loves the NFL. Well, I say that's bullshit. Here's my favorite sports in order. 1. NCAA football 2. NCAA basketball 3. MLB 4. NHL 5. NBA 6. NFL The fact is that the NFL's just slow and plodding as hell and if you're not into fantasy football and don't have a good local team, it's almost impossible to get into it. Honestly, on pure aesthetic value, the NFL is about as boring of a league as there is.

Didn't mean to be repetitive. I basically made this thread to say I like the Ashlee Simpson song. Figured if I put it in a question it would like I was contributing to the forum instead of sharing random information.

I couldn't agree more with the gist of this thread. I got back to this album a month or two ago and it holds up really well. For someone who was considered an image rocker at the time, Manson put out some quality music.

I don't necessarily think that Memphis screwed themselves out of a 1 seed at all. With the way Texas and Tennessee have been playing of late, the only other real options are Gonzaga and Ohio State. Gonzaga's resume is much weaker then Memphis's, and I really can't imagine them getting a 1 seed. Ohio State's got a shot, but I think they're going to have to run the table from here on out including their conference tourney or else the 1 seed defaults back to the Tigers. Oh, and the Vols did have a shot at a #1 seed. If they'd won out from that Kentucky game on, I honestly think they would have gotten it over Ohio State due to the big OOC games that they played. Now though, they'll probably have to win out just to keep a 2 seed. Those SEC losses can be pretty damaging when the conference is as down at is this year.

I really don't understand this. He's supposedly gone through most of his money, he's interested in wrestling in Japan, and you'd think he'd love to be back in his old contract right now. The WWE meanwhile is as desperate for star power as they've been in the last decade, and Lesnar is basically the biggest star in the business (other than the Rock who's never coming back to wrestling.) You'd think that Vince would just put out the cash and make the damn deal get done. I really can't think of one logical reason that Brock's not on the Wrestlemania card this year. You could take about eight different wrestlers, put any one of them up against Brock and have a better main event than HHH/Cena.

This was the first episode in a long time that felt like it was actually part of the planned story arc. The Claire flashbacks were fresh, interesting, and relevant to the story rather than just being the same shit told over again to fill time. I really like that the Others are just pretending to be wandering ragamuffin types to gain the trust of the islanders and are actually sitting back in luxury and manipulating them the whole time. Makes them seem a lot more scary and significant. My big question now is what's the deal with the virus? Is it really all imagined? Is it laying dormant somewhere until someone does something to get infected? And the creepiest thing of all, is it on that blue little booty that Claire brought back from the hatch? Even with the happy music playing, I was just cringing the whole time as the baby had that in his mouth, thinking OMG, he's getting the virus right now! What are you doing woman!?! Anyway, this felt like a Season 1 episode and I really liked it all-around. Definitely has me excited for the upcoming episodes again, especially Locke IV.
