Come on WP. Are you really telling me that with all the time you spend on this board, you can't figure out how to make a poll? It's right there under "topic description" and it says "poll options". Incredibly easy to do. If you had made this topic a poll, I would have answered your silly little question. But alas, you didn't so....................fuck off.

From the buildup so far this looks to be the worst WrestleMania ever. We have an unover face in Cena defending the WWE title in the ME against HHH who's going to be cheered but who won't turn face. Then, we have Angle who won a battle royal to win the World Title against Orton who lost to Taker at Armageddon and couldn't win the RR from #30. My question is with all the mistakes made thus far, is Wrestlemania even salvagable? If you were given the book tomorrow and had to deal with Cena's title reign version 2.0, a Hogan that wouldn't play ball unless he looks like a million bucks, a JBL that just got buried by the Boogeyman, and a HHH that's going to want to at the very least be in a high-profile match, could you make an intriguing WrestleMania card? I'm not asking for every single undercard match, but I'm just wondering how you'd do the buildup with the title pictures et al, to at least get three or four matches that people will pay to see and that will make it feel like Wrestlemania.

Apparently, you haven't been paying that much attention. Tennessee's way better than Florida, and Ohio State's the best team in the Big Ten. Michigan State's not even close to them at this point. I'll agree that the Big East has been pretty dominant this season, but there's still lots of good basketball out there if you know where to look.

I don't like the last suggestion. I mean there's a reason you should want to take a Jake Peavy type ahead of a Roger Clemens. I say we just go with any four keepers on your roster at the end of the season.

Oh, I didn't know it had gone that far. All I ever read is how Vince and New Japan are going to have a lawsuit. I thought he'd just showed up for a show or two, and they were holding off on anything else until they worked things out with the WWE. What kind of money is Brock making over there? Is it comparable to what he was getting when he was WWE champion?

No. You might see Kent State or Akron get in if they lose in the conference title game, but in all probability, the MAC will be a one bid league this year. Using the Sagarin ratings as a measuring stick again, the highest ranked team is Kent State at #77. They went an unspectacular 7-5 in non-conference play with losses to Delaware State ad Rutgers and their best win being against Austin Peay.

I agree with Leena here. SIU was terrible in non-conference and they've been playing really bad toward the end of the MVC schedule too. The only way they should get in is if they win the conference tourney. Bradley's had a nice end to the season, but they'll have to win out to at least the conference title game to get in. NIU's got the non-conference credentials, Wichita State's got the regular season title, and Creighton's played pretty well all-around, but they're the only real gimmes. Missouri State will probably sneak in as an 11 or 12 seed since they don't have a bad loss and their margin of victory's strong. Honestly, I think four teams seems right unless there's a surprise in the conference tourney. Oh, and if anyone's curious, here's how the top MVC teams fare in the Sagarin rankings. 21 Missouri State = 85.67 20 - 7 77.61( 40) 0 0 | 0 1 | 84.03 34 | 87.50 13 31 Wichita State = 84.33 22 - 7 76.98( 62) 0 1 | 2 2 | 84.94 27 | 83.41 41 34 Northern Iowa = 83.96 20 - 8 77.60( 41) 0 0 | 3 1 | 83.93 36 | 83.60 39 41 Creighton = 83.31 19 - 8 77.22( 53) 0 0 | 1 1 | 83.13 40 | 83.10 45 42 Bradley = 83.30 18 - 9 77.07( 59) 0 0 | 1 1 | 81.78 53 | 84.78 28 52 Southern Illinois = 81.82 19 - 9 77.35( 49) 0 0 | 1 1 | 81.90 50 | 81.36 58

Just checking to see how resounding of a failure this Bode ad campaign was. Nike spent millions on it and I don't think I've met anyone out there that even likes the guy. Does anyone like Bode Miller?

Goldberg/Warrior. Now there's the match the fans have been clamoring for. I think it's right behind Rikishi/Earthquake as a dream match that could give TNA credibility and vault them into the mainstream.

I accuse you of drinking toilet water...

Fuck, I always eat the ice out of my drinks. I haven't gotten E. Coli yet, so it can't be too dangerous, but it's going to be hard to forget this story. This is going to ruin my fast food experience unless I can find away to forget about this. -
Wildpegasus, I'm going to help you out here. 1. If you're living with someone, then wait til you're alone. 2. Open up your phone book. 3. In the Yellow Pages, look up "escorts". 4. Call one and have her come to your house/apartment. 5. Fuck her. 6. Give her money. Now, you don't have to troll messageboards looking to see when prostitutes might be in the vicinity of someone you've posted on the internet with.

No worries. I'm about 98% sure that UConn's taking this one, so I don't see it becoming an issue. Villanova's had all kinds of problems on the road and I just can't see them winning in Storrs. UConn's actually the first team in the Top 8 of the Big East that they've had to face on the road this year.

I have to disagree with you on the Big Ten. Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Michigan all definitely deserve to get in and Indiana would have gotten in to if they hadn't tanked the season after the Davis controversy. They're way better than the SEC, and while they lack a marquee team, I think that the Big Ten and the ACC are the only conferences that really have an argument as the second best league in America.

Face Vince vs. the young heel McMahons has been done already and it failed. That's not the solution. And TNA's not the solution either. I've tried watching Impact a few times, and they have even more problems then Raw right now. Practically everyone on the roster seems interchangeable and vanilla, and when they focus on "stars" like the James Gang, it just makes them look like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for the WWE's leftovers. Giving Christian the title was a good move, but there's not one other person on that roster that interests me enough to make me stop flipping channels when they're on-screen. The problem with the WWE is that they're inflexible and they give no respect whatsoever to their fans. Five or six years ago, when Cena started getting mixed reactions against Jericho, they would have instantly made a character change or set up a turn. Now, they say, "Oh well, Angle's over as a heel. Cena will get cheered over him." Then when Angle starts getting cheered, they say, "Oh, if we have Angle turn on America, that will make the fans boo him." Finally, when that doesn't work, they run an elaborate angle where Edge screwing Cena out of the title thinking that will "make the fans cheer him." The common thread is that instead of reacting to the fans and trying to figure out what they want, the WWE keeps trying to force the fans to think what they want. That's why almost every match you see is face vs. heel, and that's why you keep seeing the heels resort to ridiculous cheap heat tactics whenever the fans get into them. Vince seems to be scared to death of the idea that someone could just play a tweener for a while and let the fans decide whether they ultimately want to cheer or boo them. If the WWE would just focus on telling good stories and giving the fans what they want to see instead of trying to force the creation of icons that change the business overnight, they'd be in a lot better shape. They're wasting all their energy making the fans cheer the "faces" and boo the "heels", when if they'd just write interesting feuds, they'd get more PPV buys in the long run anyway.

Didn't I make this relatively clear? I was saying that he could be a great #2 scorer, not that he'd get a lot of rebounds or play great defense. I was just saying that if you put him with a physical slasher like LeBron or Kobe, he'd be able to score a lot of points while still letting them be the focus of the offense. And Morrison's the short Wally Sczerbiak. He thinks he's a forward and he ran up a lot of points at a small school; the comparison's perfect. Put him on the floor with somebody like KG and he doesn't look like such a great scoring option anymore.

Well, I'm with the rest of you tonight. FUCK DUKE! My Jackets are up five at the half and they've held Redick to 4 points on 2-11 shooting.

RPI has nothing to do with "rep". It's record, opponents' record, and opponents' opponents' record. That's it. St. Joes at least had a couple decent wins, and some real talent. The only Top 30 team that GW's faced is NC State and they lost that game by 21 points. Their schedule is ranked 247th out of 334 teams. They really don't deserve to be higher than a 3 seed at this point.
-
It's not a hardcore match because they're not "supposed to" use chairs, weapons, etc., and the referee is allowed to try to physically restrain them if they do so. However, he cannot disqualify them. There have been numerous times where wrestlers cheated in front of the ref in triple threat matches or interference took place (as in at least 20), and no one has ever been DQed.

They're not my sleeper team. I see them losing a 6/11 game in the first round to someone like Northern Iowa.

JJ's 100x better than Morrison in every way. He puts up the same stats against Carolina and NC State that Morrison puts up against Portland and San Diego. If he doesn't get POTY, it will be an outrage. And JJ's going to be a better pro too. I don't see him being the #1 guy anywhere, but he'll be a hell of a #2, I kind of think of him as the next Scottie Pippen. (In terms of contribution to the team, obviously he won't be a forward that gets tons of rebounds.) Morrison meanwhile, is going to be a total bust. He's too small to be a forward and not quick enough to be a guard. I'd be surprised if he ever ends up with a starting job in the NBA.

Yeah, really. My mom raised me strict Catholic and I still went to church every Sunday through high school, although I stopped believing by my senior year. I'm 20 now, and I'm a confirmed atheist. I think the idea that man just made up 100 different god stories seems more likely than the idea that they correctly guessed there's something out there that they have absolutely no evidence for, and 99% of them just managed to get every single detail wrong.

Hitting categories Runs RBI OBP Total bases SB HRs and average both fit nicely into the other categories and are nowhere near special enough to deserve their own categories. Total bases or slugging percentage is a necessity to fairly judge a batter as their whole goal is to get around as many bases as possible. I'll admit that stolen bases are kind of random, but you need a fifth category and at least they're something different. Pitching categories Wins Saves Strikeouts ERA WHIP

I could accept that..................... but only if the alliance ends with RVD beating the fuck out of Cena and taking his title away. Seriously, why would RVD want to hang out with that faggot. RVD gives the fans that hate Cena a reason to watch the show. If RVD and Cena started getting all buddy buddy, all it would do is make me start lose interest in RVD and by extension Raw as a whole.

The first comment may be racist, but this one's dead on:
