  1. Jessica Simpson can't act. Or sing. Or much of anything. Bullshit. Jessica Simpson has one of the best voices in American music and that's what she capitalized on once she got more mainstream attention. Stacy can............wear skimpy outfits.....................and dance. That's about it.

THE OAO Raw thread for 2/20/06

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Triple Threat matches automatically no DQ? The refs will still try to stop the heels from cheating, but if they can't restrain them physically, there's no actual consequences they're allowed to inflict.

He's not Choke. He's just not good enough. And only one more day until the best event of the Olympics!! What are you talking about? Curling's been on for over a week now.

OAO No Way Out Thread, Feb/19th/2006

Damn, this is making me wish I'd gotten my ass down to the sports bar to watch the Taker/Angle match. The title matches were so disappointing at the Royal Rumble that I decided I'd just stay home, especially since Taker/Angle was the only match I was interested in on the whole card. If I'd known they were going to have a 30 minute classic like this one seems to be, I would have been there in a heartbeat.

    College Hoops 2/14/06 - 2/26/06

Baylor says hello. If you say that they hardly seem like a real Big XII team this year, I can kinda see it considering they didn't even play a full schedule, but Missouri's worse than OSU as well.

    TSM Arcade *** Poll *** & Feedback

It's not trying to be funny. But, thankfully, your improvement has ceased and I can put your fat ass on ignore again. Whew. And remove my scores. I'm now getting PM's from the fucking losers who care WAY too much that I'm better than them. I sent one PM as a joke because it amused me for five seconds or so. I really don't think it's a big deal that Leena cheated at the TSM arcade.
  8. Finally, Bush does something that I agree with. Now if we could just get him to find the $6 billion that "disappeared" in Iraq, and then maybe pull out of Iraq altogether and save $120 billion, we might really be on the way to fixing the budget.

    Angle's Greatest Rivalries

I hate to nitpick on this kind of thing, but the WWE was so wrong here that it wasn't even funny. The rivalry was over? Umm, hello. Angle joined the Alliance to turn on Austin at Survivor Series and cost him the main event. Then a month later, they wrestled for the WWF Title at Vengeance. I guess the part of the feud where Angle turned heel and Austin turned face was so silly that they just want to pretend it never happened.

    TSM Fantasy Baseball 2006

    1. Head to Head or Rotisserie? Head to head. That was the league last year, and if this is a continuation of that, we should stick with the same basic format. 2. Max on player aquisitions/trades for season? (if yes, how many?) No, unnecessary. 3. Time managers have to protest pending trades? (No or yes and # of days) No, unnecessary 4. Trade deadline? (if yes, use July 30, Aug 6, Aug 13, Aug 20 or Aug 27?) Doesn't really matter, but July 30, sounds fine 5. Time players are on waivers (days or no waivers) 2 days 6. Use "can't cut list"? No, unnecessary 7. Trades reviews by commisioner or league votes? Commissioner's good. That way we have someone to make sure there are no really one-sided trades, since you'll never get enough people bothering to vote to overturn a trade that way. 8. After draft, all unclaimed players free agents or waivers? Waivers 9. Minimum innings pitched per week? (if yes how many) Yes. It ruins the whole integrity of the league if you can win categories by having pitchers that don't pitch. 28 sounds good for the aforementioned reasons. 10. Roster changes weekly or daily? Weekly. The fact is that half the league won't even be checking weekly after the first month or so, and daily roster changes just default the league title to whichever one or two people are bored enough to make sure that they get 20 starts out of their pitchers each week.

    It's time to play...

Yeah, fuck DocOck. He doesn't look remotely entertaining. Pervs and pedos I have no problem with, but boring fatties don't get free passes.

    College Hoops 2/14/06 - 2/26/06

Actually, that just means that Georgia Tech played the worst defense ever. I watched almost the entire game, and they just let him get layup after layup. I don't know if he made a jumper the whole game.

    24: Season 5

Is it just me or is Curtis the most boring, generic character ever? Chase was way more interesting as the "top field agent when Jack's not around".

    College Hoops 01/30 through 02/13

    There wasn't a new thread yet, so I figured I'd just form one and put my rankings in there. DragonLordKaiba can always just add the RPI and conference standings later on. Anyways, here are the new rankings. Iggy's Rankings for January 30, 2005 (previous week's rankings in parenthesis) Duke 19-1 (1) Memphis 19-2 (3) Connecticut 18-1 (4) Illinois 19-2 (7) Texas 17-3 (2) Gonzaga 17-3 (8) Villanova 15-2 (6) Pittsburgh 17-1 (10) Tennessee 14-3 (14) Florida 18-2 (5) Michigan 15-3 (21) Michigan State 16-5 (11) George Washington 16-1 (17) West Virginia 15-4 (13) Ohio State 14-3 (16) Georgetown 14-4 (18) UCLA 17-4 (19) Iowa 16-5 (20) NC State 16-4 (15) Wisconsin 15-5 (24) LSU 14-5 (25) Washington 16-4 (9) Northern Iowa 19-3 (NR) Indiana 12-5 (12) Boston College 16-4 (NR) Dropped out: Maryland (22), Syracuse (23) Close: Bucknell, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Syracuse, Iona

    A different take on WrestleMania

Well what did you do? What do you mean? About the pants. No no, you don't understand, I literally shit my pants. So what did you do? Don't even remember who did that comedy routine, but it was a good one anyway.

    Save Wrestlemania

The Rock has about as good of a chance of going to TNA as Vince Young does of going to the Arena Football League. It's just never going to happen.

    Angle's Greatest Rivalries

Yeah, Angle and Austin were in some kind of main event match together 7 PPVs in a row (and my facts are right on this one). That's way more significant than Angle and Edge dicking around in the midcard.
  19. iggymcfly

If you had to pick one....

Is prison an option? I think I might prefer prison.

    Angle's Greatest Rivalries

If you think Vince reads WWE.com, you're kidding yourself. It's just some bored intern. Oh, and Taker and Angle have never had a singles match on PPV. There's no way he's in the top 6.

    The Office, Season Two

I actually really like the dynamic between Michael and Jan. It seems like even though he's a total asshole 98% of the time, he always manages to save the day when she's around. Kinda gives him an added dimension beyond "absolute jackass". Oh, and the scene where Jan kisses Michael in the elevator and then looks back at the camera like "oh shit" was classic.

    The Colbert Report

Colbert Report is hands-down funnier than Daily Show, and anyone who says different is full of shit. "The Word" is always terrific, and I love the "better now a congressional district" segments. He runs a little short on material by the end, but when he's on, he's hilarious.

    I am sick of blading...

I know Jericho's bladed before. I have a visual in my mind of him bleeding, but I'm not 100% sure where it's from. I'm thinking maybe the HIAC against HHH in 2002. Maybe the NWO match against Austin in 2002 also. He certainly doesn't blade much though. And you might be right on Benoit. I can't think of a single match where he bladed.

    A different take on WrestleMania

This argument made a whole lot more sense five years ago. I remember reading an article about basically this same exact concept right after WM X-7 and I kinda bought it. Austin was the tragic hero who became so vain he had to ally himself with what he hated most. The point is that the stories were good enough that you could get drawn in and find tons of depth. Now? The WWE writes cartoons for children. Faces never go up against heels, the main event feuds are laughable, and the top face is an annoying wigger who tries so hard to be cute and funny that it's painful. It seems like every act they make is designed to get cheap heat for the heels, and to force the crowd to like the faces. The art of telling an interesting story is long gone. If Vince McMahon wrote Othello today, the first three acts would all be about Othello's war exploits and what a great general he was. Then, the fourth act would involve Iago insulting Othello's wife and then running away whenever Othello confronted him. Finally, in the fifth act, Othello would kill a heavily armed Iago with his bare hands. You can make up a story for Cena and HHH that has depth, but the real feud's going to involve HHH telling Cena that he doesn't deserve to be champion because he's a "common street thug" like the fans, while Cena says he's proud to be like the fans, and Vince prays that the fans will cheer for it like sheep.

    Angle's Greatest Rivalries

Nah, they just mentioned Steph in the Rock rivalry. I'd say that Brock, Austin, and Benoit have to have the top three spots in some order. Maybe put Edge at #4, HHH at #5, and then Michaels at #6
