I think you'll change your tune when the Ducks are up 38-18 at halftime. Seriously, UNLV's the only team left except for maybe Butler that I feel has absolutely no shot to actually win the tournament. The games I think are really intriguing next round are SIU/Kansas to see what the MVC champs can do against a real top-caliber elite program and Ohio State/Tennessee because I think the Buckeyes are the best team in the country, but Tennessee, much like Xavier is a team that can get hot from the perimeter and sink anyone when they're shooting well.

Yeah, I was trying to find someone that wasn't a 1 or 2 seed and they were the best I could come up with. Was already thinking before the game this morning that SIU might have been a better choice though.

I'm in significantly worse shape than the rest of you. Lost one Final Four team (Virginia Tech) and two more Elite 8 teams besides (Georgia Tech and Louisville). In fact, only half of my Sweet 16 was right.

Edit: Yeah, I guess Escobar's gone. What happened is I had him in me list of potential picks for Round 10 that I PMed to Stephen Joseph, when I ended up getting Noah Lowry who was at the top of the list anyway. Then, I just went back and checked after Lowry and missed Escobar being taken in Round 9.

Only one more pick to go! If I get through two rounds of pining over and then Cena's Writer takes him, I'm going to be pissed.

Fun tournament so far if a scary one. That's twice I've had one of my Final Four teams trailing double digits in the second half (this time it was my national champion) only to pull it out in the final seconds. Honestly, Xavier played the best basketball they were capable of playing today, they looked like a Top 10 team, and Ohio State still got the job done. I think that speaks volumes. Honestly, I feel more confident about OSU winning it all now than I did before the tip today.

WOWOWOWOWOW! What a great finish to regulation. This is defintiely game of the tournament thus far.

I really needed that Virginia Tech game tonight. Had them in my Final Four and was ready to give up on my bracket if they lost. Luckily, they closed the game out on a 12-0 run for the huge comeback.

TAMU-CC's hanging tough. Wisconsin keeps trying to get a run going, but the Islanders aren't fazed at all. I really hope they can hold on for the win.

I've got to say, Winthrop looks amazing right now. If they play like this, they're going to destroy Oregon.

Yeah, Georgia Tech just played terrible today. I haven't seen them look that dead on offense all year long. It's not even like UNLV played a particularly good game, they gave GT their chances and the Jackets didn't finish. That was kind of a triple threat loss as not only did it destroy my beloved Jackets, it also shredded my bracket, and cost me significantly gambling-wise too. I guess now I'll just put my hopes on Winthrop to help me get two out of three back. (If they make the Elite 8, then no one will have that bracket right and I won't miss a lot of points against the field.)

Cabbageboy, I think it's pretty obvious why people are complaining. It's because Louisville's a lower seed than Texas A&M. Nova was a 1 seed when they played at home and UNC is a 1 seed this year. The idea is that only 1-4 seeds should be protected and that a 6 seed shouldn't be at home against a 3. With that said, it makes for an easy upset to pick so I don't really care. As for my brackets, I'm 6-0 in games that have been decided, but I'm feeling real shaky on this ODU/Butler game. I flip-flopped on it about 10x before finally going with the genius logic that at least one 12 seed had to beat a 5 seed and ODU was closest. Edit: Maybe 6-0's a little premature. I guess TAMU's still only up 6 on Penn.

For some reason that is completely unclear to me, my CBS affiliate decided to forego the WSU/Oral Roberts game even though the WSU campus is <300 miles away in favor of this thrilling shootout between Butler and Old Dominion. 7-7, eight minutes in. I'd usually be happy to get the better national matchup, but being a former WSU student and all, I kind of want to see them play. My computer's too slow for the MMOD to be enjoyable at all, so I guess I'll have to take a shower and go down to the sports bar in a little bit.

Went 3-0 on the early games. Not that it's very impressive when the better seeded team won every game, but it's nice to get off to a good start.

Since Drexel did so well in the NIT. Lost to the #10 team out of the ACC the first night. If anything, Clemson or Florida State should have gotten one of the last spots.

Anyone else noticing a really strict interpretation of traveling during the tournament? At first I thought it was just the refs in the Lou/Stan game, but they're doing the same thing for Davidson/Maryland. I'm thinking it must be a point of emphasis during the NCAAs or something.

Louisville's just rocking Stanford thus far. Despite my denigrating of UL in the college basketball threads all year, I'm very happy to see it as I have them in my Elite 8, and also made a decent-sized wager on them this morning.

Really good show tonight. I'm loving the psycho VP and the Logan drama was really good too. Even when Martha was chopping up the kiwi all crazy-like, I didn't really believe she'd stab him. Anyway, there was some minor issues with timing (It takes four minutes for Logan to fly from CTU to Martha's place? Martha calls Anya and Suvarov's ordering Markov to stand down 15 seconds later?), but overall, it was a good dramatic episode. Now that the Palmers and the Bauers are out of the picture, I'm enjoying this season a lot more. Of course, somehow I failed to learn my lesson about looking at the scenes from next week. I skipped them last time, but then I felt kinda unsatisfied when they just finished the episode with Logan and didn't do anything with the bomb, so I looked at next week's scenes and spoiled myself more than I wanted to.
