I heard the promoter rarely, if ever, pays the talent. Is that true, does anyone know? -
Must everyone forget that had Rodriguez NOT booted that ground ball, there probably would have been a double play and the game would've been over? Worst case scenario he would have gotten the force at home and there would be 2 outs with the Yankees still leading by 1. Rivera loaded the bases, but he got the strikeout and the grounder that he needed to get himself out of it. The defensive lapse cost him. So I wouldn't count him out just yet. He will still save 50+ this year.

Actually in the first one they said Anna Morgan was unable to conceive a child. Even though Mr. Morgan (first name escapes me) said the 'wasn't supposed to have a child' line that probably just means she couldn't conceive so he didn't want to adopt one but she did anyways. Also I agree that it's kinda dumb that Max didn't have to see the tape to die but it makes sense given that Samara had taken over Aidan's body. With the tape deaths she doesn't have a body so yeah.

No because she was voted off I believe on the first or 2nd episode. Ulong sucks real bad, but is it me or do the quality of the tribes seem to diminish every season? They're running out of good characters to have on Survivor. Although nothing was worse than the last one. That Karen bitch is so annoying to look at.

I sometimes post in the WWE forum but that's about it. I rarely enter this forum unless I'm really bored but this thread caught my eye since I'm probably considered a lurker. Sorry if my lurking offends you

You don't think Shelton would be plausible? Or even Jericho or Kane? The only person I know that won't win is Christian, and not because he shouldn't, just because he seems to always be the job bitch of this group.

If it's true that Matt Hardy was really supposed to be in this match, you'd think they'd pull Edge from it rather than Matt since he's the innocent party in the situation. This leads me to believe that Matt wasn't scheduled for it in the first place. You can argue that taking Edge out of it wouldn't make sense because of his direction right now, but they could've found something else for him to do at Mania if this is the case.

Possible Location for WrestleMania 22
J. Hungerford Smith replied to res37618's topic in The WWE Folder
Survivor Series is in Detroit and the 2006 Rumble is in Miami. So far I've heard Chicago and Calgary for Mania. Hopefully for me it's Chicago, about 250 miles down the interstate. -
That's actually really cool. I think it's too complex for the RAW writers though.

If that happened, Batista's push is probably over. Fucking up the finish, and then causing Vince to come out and embarass himself in front of millions is enough for Vince to go insane and like fire him or something. Nah, I doubt that considering the on the fly booking did end up working pretty well and if this was the case that not many people noticed it. It ended up seeming like the traditional who was first finish in Rumbles and like the one with the RAW triple threat title match. I doubt they'll waste Batista now, I mean you can't deny that he's more over than any face on RAW right now.

I looked back in the thread and didn't see this brought up, so if I missed it I apologize and a mod can just delete it or something. Call me crazy but I'm doubting that Batista hitting first was the real fuck up in the Rumble finish. I think it was that Batista wasn't supposed to hit the floor at all. I could be wrong, this is just a theory, but for whatever it's worth my friends and I all ended up agreeing after going back and watching it again. Anyways, point number one is that Batista kinda took an extremely unsafe spill, especially having Cena on top of him like that. He basically backflipped over, which made it seem to me like it was the weight of Cena that caused him to fall. I think maybe Cena was supposed to fall out of the powerbomb and back into the ring on his feet, and maybe attempt another F-U before getting the spinebuster and thrown out like he did in the 2nd finish. A few things I have to support this is that JR and Tazz sounded legitimately confused by the original end, and if you watch Batista he completely no-sold his bump and kinda had a "what the fuck" look on his face. Also, when Vince came out, it seemed rushed. It didn't really build up that much before he came out, and they didn't play his music. He also looked legitimately pissed off which is a sign that the finish may have went completely wrong, and that may also have led to him hitting his knee. If this was booked, I think Vince would have come out and maybe been calm about it and maybe award the #1 contenderships to both competitors rather than restarting the match. I mean, either way the whole thing was screwy, but just a thought...

It's like computer hacker geek speak for "elite."

There were many good signs, another one I saw said "Batista is l337"

The band is actually the same band that does Orton's theme, Mercy Drive. However they had a different name back then, Big Mother Thruster, and the song is called Tattoo. They actually changed their name to Big Empty before changing it to Mercy Drive. I don't know why. I know it's Mercy Drive because on Maven's website they posted a stream of the song -- only it has different lyrics and it was labeled "Mercy Drive - Memory." So I guess on the Mercy Drive album it's going to be that one instead.

You obviously are blindly biased or know nothing about basketball. Kobe didn't dominate Shaq one bit. Shaq and Kobe don't guard each other, and it's easy to draw a foul on whoever is covering the paint if you're driving hard. Kobe played even more selfishly than usual as he was probably trying to best O'Neal but it obviously didn't happen seeing as Miami won. Considering O'Neal had 24 points (150% more than 16) and shot 11-19 while Kobe shot 12-30, I'd say no one got dominated, in fact O'Neal played better. And Devean George sucks.

The difference between this and the DX invasion is that no actual WCW talent was shown on WWF TV. Blurred out or not, TNA used footage of WWE talent on their PPV.

Fresno is relatively close to LA...why would they hold 2 consecutive big 4s in so close areas?

And the best PPV theme song for 2004 was...?

There haven't been good PPV promo themes since like 2002, IMO. -

Call me crazy but without Meltzer and other news reporter wouldn't this site probably not exist? I mean the term "smart mark" comes from knowing "inside information" about the business does it not? I don't think I would enjoy wrestling as much without the inside perspective, I think it's interesting to know what goes on behind the scenes that we wouldn't be exposed to as just regular fans. I remember when I got the Internet in '97 when I was like 12 how amazed I was when I discovered all of this stuff. I mean I knew wrestling was pre-determined and all that stuff but I was amazed to find out about all the rumors about stuff that was going to happen, spoilers to pre-taped shows, etc. I think knowing more about what goes on has increased my respect for the business and the workers, knowing that it's about a lot more than just going out and working, and how they have to deal with certain troublesome workers' politics and causing trouble backstage. I respect Meltzer a great deal because out of every site I've read he's the only one who is consistently accurate, and I happen to enjoy the non-objectiveness. I think without it would be too formal and boring, I mean I may not always agree with him but it's interesting to hear other people's perspectives on matters.

Apparently. I went to the WXW site and they spell it like that too.

Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder: The Whole Story
J. Hungerford Smith replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Cool read. I was at the show in St. Louis and everything said about the crowd was right. I was on the wrong side and up so I couldn't tell that Angle was locked in, but I did notice that there was a quick count and that Puder's shoulders weren't down at all. The crowd was really into Puder and Justice Smith. I don't like how they decided to get rid of all mention and replay footage of the segment. It makes Angle look really weak when in all honesty I think he should be viewed as strong because he DIDN'T tap since apparently most people would have (I'm not really familiar with MMA). Also Puder should be rewarded with this because as stated right now it is a popularity contest with the Miz from Real World (I think), who is entertaining yet has no look or shape to be taken seriously, leading the pack. -
And Nunzio would be the Mussolini of the group! And then Angle, Dupree and Regal can team up, fight them off, and try to save Goldberg who was captured and marked for death by Heidenreich.
