Ball State's Womens Basketball Team Beats Tennessee in Tournament

Not really. It was a 5 v. 12 upset which happens all the time, and by all accounts, Tennessee had a really down year

    30 Rock

You'd work for a boss that's insane and a drag to work for. Aside from Jim and Pam, your co-workers really aren't that fun to be around. Plus, the company is losing money and you always have to face the prospect of losing your job. The it's a drag to work there aspect was really only prevalent in the pilot when Jim said he'd throw himself in front of a moving train if that was his career
  3. The Family Matters series finale is pretty good. When you think of all the zaniness that occured, Urkel going to space isn't that bad. The last episode prior to the finale is amazing, that's where Laura and Steve get engaged. Steve proposes to her using the same ring he gave her when they worked on a science project together back in 91. Awesome stuff. Also, Laura decided she liked Steve at the beginning of the last season. The last season had Steve and Stefon both wanting her and Laura liking both, but she chose Steve. Judy, Rachel, Richie, Mother Winslow, Harriet 1 and Waldo all left the show. Rachel was still "around", she was never shown and in the final Christmas episode she was visiting a sick aunt. They ever explained Richie or Mother Winslow, but Waldo moved to NYC to go to culinary school.

I didn't start noticing it until Byron did it. It's one of those little things that bother me, b/c I'm like that. Carry on though.

    30 Rock

30 Rock was funnier when it was more grounded, instead of just being outlandish. Outlandish humour works in some ways, but with 30 Rock, they're just throwing shit at the wall and hope it sticks. The documentary part of the Office is something you sometimes have to suspend disbelief on (they've basically admitted that the reason the documentary hasn't aired is b/c the show would be fucked) but they often acknowledge the camera's presence. (Witness David's look when he realises that Michael brought the camera with him) Also, while The Office is out there at times, they never go as far as 30 Rock does and never make it so it's too unwatchable. Plus, they've gone to great lengths to explain why Michael hasn't been fired and I appreciate it. My two real complaints about The Office are that they get lazy with relationships by having everyone fuck everyone, and they sometimes let Michael's talking head go on for too long. That said, they were perfect on Thursday with Michael's behaviour. Yes, he was being a douchebag but everyone told him to shut the fuck up and it was explained in a talking head. And he redeemed himself at the end with Wallace. Also, The Office's dramatic moments are perfect. They do a great job of telling a story, and 30 Rock has never been able to touch that. Look at all the failed 30 Rock storylines I listed. While the show is funny, they've never been able to capture those moments like Casino Night, or the awkwardness of Phyllis' wedding and the dinner party, or that great scene of Jim consoling Dwight and then walking in and kissing Pam. 30 Rock some weeks is 22 minutes of someone trying too hard and falling flat. Completely disagree on all levels. The Office had many dramatic moments in Season 2 when no one is watching. They stumbled a bit in Season 3 when they shipped Jim to Stamford, but once they brought him back and resolved that storyline, things got much better. The zaniness was always there. Look at Diversity Day, or Sexual Harassment, Office Olympics, or any of the zany antics in the workplace episode. Czech, just because Byron does it, doesn't mean we're going to start doing with regard to as w/r/t. 30 Rock ATTEMPTS to be Arrested Development, but can never really pull it off. There were some episodes in 2 where you could see they were trying to be Arrested Development with the inserts and callbacks and it just didn't work. How I Met Your Mother is probably the best sitcom for doing inserts. I do agree that will they or won't they aspect of Jam got a little tiring, but they resolved that with the Super Bowl, and I like that they're now just a happy loving couple. Not true. Look at Thursday's episode, which was 22 minutes of the awkward cringeworthy humour that is one of The Office's hallmarks. Or the week before, with Dwight one-upping Michael. "You're welcome" is funnier than anything on 30 Rock this season. It's worse. I will credit 30 Rock for showing improvement, but I think they think the show is funnier than it really is. Jane Krakowski is just bad, she should've been dumped after Season 1. They need to use the writers more, and not waste Alec Baldwin's time with relationship arcs.

YO! TSM raps: John Cena in 2009

The Rock SUCKED when he first came into the WWF. It was terrible. It did no such thing. Ratings and buyrates did not plummet during Cena's year long title reign.

Dwayne Johnson had his final match. Wrestlemania XX is how he wanted to go out.

I don't mind it. The tournament is supposed to go to chalk, it ensures the best matchups

What will be the worst movie of 2009?

Street Fighter is worse than New In Town. Miss March is better than both. Miss March was: me, some guy who watched the movie lying down, and two parents who brought their 2-year old child. No, I'm not making that up. They brought their 2-year old to see Miss March. The movie's awful, but I laughed at a few scenes and Darryl from The Office is always good for something. The main character looks like dge.

YO! TSM raps: John Cena in 2009

He's not a wrestler anymore. Wrestling's his past, he's not involved in the business. WWE is the one who let his contract expire. He's trying to gain mainstream acceptance and establish himself as a leading man in Hollywood. Showing up in an arena that the mainstream media views with disgust doesn't help those matters. He's Dwayne Johnson now, no more The Rock. He called himself Dwane Johnson during those bumpers too. Can you blame him though? With the Chris Benoit murder-suicide and wrestling's insane death rate, it's not something you'd really want to be associated with.

    TSM QUESTIONS YOUR LOYALTY

Not if you're from New York. I HATED Michael Jordan and the Bulls, and still do. Fuck him. It's why I never bought a Derrick Rose Bulls jersey

    College emotion vs professional devotion

I was a Knicks fan as a kid, and casually rooted for the Nets. But when the Knicks traded Patrick Ewing, I realised I could never pull for the Knicks, and became a Nets fan. As I said, they're a local team, so there's no real controversy there

The Nets are a local team, no need to explain.

    College emotion vs professional devotion

Unlike Cowboy Numbers though, I've explained my allegiances numerous times and am happy to do so again. I've been a Memphis Tigers fan my whole life. I remember rooting for Penny Hardaway as a kid, and the pain of getting killed by Cincinnati in the Elite 8 in 92. Most of my dad's side of the family lives in Memphis, and I go to Memphis all the time. I was raised to be a Saints fan. Again, my dad's side is all from Memphis and if you're from Memphis, you root for the Saints.

I was watching the game on FF after they went down 3-0, and oh man, that's hilarious. This team. Before the couldn't win at home, now they can't win on the road

You should really shut the fuck up as I am most definitely not a Knicks fan. I mean, that's insulting!
