The only reason you could call Superman Returns a flop is because it was in production for years, and spend tens of millions of dollars before the final script was handed in. If it had jus had a budge ot $100 million, nobody could say it was a flop. But instead it had to put up with all of the crap that came before it.

Umbridge was described as lookign something liek a Toad, and the actress they got (can't remember her name) didn't look toad-like. Slam the movie after it comes out if it sucks, not before because teh actor they picked doesn't look exactly like what's described in the book.

HaHa! I saw that same scene the other day on TV, and I started laughing really hard. Gary Oldman is awesome. Most movie villains though are still in control of what they are doing. Some are either not insane, or if they are, they still have morals they follow. The Joker pretty much had no morals in TDK. He simply wanted to cause anarchy just for the fun of it. There also was no real way to defeat him either. You hit him, he laughs, you kill him, he laughs and welcomes it. Even though Batman caught him at the end, I don't think Batman ended up winning. Actually, you could make the case that the Joker absolutely won. Think about it- if word had gotten out about what Dent had done, his reputation would be dead, all the criminals he locekd up would be freed, adn Gotham would loose hope. So Batman takes the blame- and is no longer a symbol of hope himself, which was played up throughout the movie. So Batman's rep is shot, Harvey is dead, and the city will still loose hope. Two points to the Joker.

NO. Dear god, NO! No Lobo! He's the shittiest character in the history of shitty characters! I can't stand the sum-bitch! I never what to see him on any screen, big or small! That beign said, I think Teen Titans could be a good movie for the younger crowd- the problem being either Robin or Nightwing- if you want to keep the movies in the same univers (a'la Marvel), how could you use either of them?

This live action movie has been in developmental hell for years. The last person they tapped to direct this, Joss Whedon, pulled out I beleive due to creative differences with Warner Bros. Five, actually: Everyone forgetts Guy Gardner. This could be a good movie, but it might be tricky to pull off if they go the route of the Green LAtnern Corps. Kep it on Earth for one movie, then move it to space for any subsequent films. Again, you forgot about Bart Allen. Sure, he was only Flash for about a dozen issues before they freakin' killed him off, but he was a Flash. And I could see the studios using him, as he might better relate to younger audiences. Though personally I'd love to see a live ction, Barry Allen Flash movie. I beleive that is actually in the workds- as a campy comedy. Yeah.... Unfortunately not very well known outside of the more die hard fans (or those who read Birds of Prey), but I agree this would make a great period piece

The thing with Two-FAce in this movie- yes, he obviously had a dark side. But when he went homicidal, it wasn't because his face got fucked up. IT was because the woman he loved was killed, and dirty cops- whom he TOLD Gordon there were- wer involved. Everyone he killed was in revenge for everthing he lost. Once thta was done, as Harvey himsef said "There is no escape!" I think, if he had finished, he either would have killed himself, or turned himself over to the police. So there would have been no where to go if they used him in the next movie.

If I remember correctly, it's something like "Gordon looked over the edge and saw Dent laying on the ground far below, his neck twisted at an odd angle, obvioulsy dead." Incidently, having watched the movie againm one of my favorite scenes is when Bruce is testing the rounds, trying to recreate teh scene. IT's just pure detective work, not him beating people up.

You know, I can't picture DDL as Joker because, if my memory serves me, he's a big guy. Not fat, but tall and well-built. I always picture the Joker as somewhat tall, but scrawny, and Ledger pulled that off perfectly.

While I'm supprised at the lack of mainstream advertising, I think Clone Wars will do well enough. It's pretty much aimed at kids and hardcore Star Wars fans, and there's enough fo them out there to generate good business.

Yeah... I have a 500 gig external hard drive that ran out of space between my music files and my comics. I had to buy a new hard drive just for my comics collection. I have a lot of the old stuff (just got about 3/4 of Teen Titans- from 89 to present), and I have current comics starting from about may of last year. Incidently, for those who use bit torrent- search DCP and you'll pull up a weekly torrent with the newest releases. I'll put Secret Invasion up when I get home today. Any other requests?

Actually, I thought that al of those impostors running around was the perfect way to celar Batman's name. Some wackjob starts comiiting crimes in a batsuit, gets caught- viola, Batman is cleared of the crimes he took on in Dents name.

Here are two more obscure villians they could use for a third movie- David Cain- the worlds deadliest assasin (and father of Casandra Cain, the new Batgirl), or LAdy Shiva- the world's deadliest martial artist (and motehr of Cassandra Cain). Either or both would work real well for a more realistic Batman like Nolan is doing.

You know, the only Alan Moore story I've ever been able to successfully read is The Killing Joke. The reason? All his other stories had HORRIBLE artwork, Watchmen included. I took a look at this book at Borders, and I just couldn't begin to read it because of the crappy artwork. Hopefully the movie will be able to show me how good this story is.

They'd definitely have to change the plot a lot to do Hush, but I think it'd be doable. They'd just have to be clever about it. No villain has figured out who he is yet, so I think it's a safe bet that that will probably be a plot device for the next film. I think a tweaking of Hush as someone from Bruce's past who already hates his guts would be pretty cool. I'm sure it'll never happen, though... Well techincally Ra's figured it out- and we all know how he likes comming back from the dead. OR he told Talia.

I thought about Hush as the third movie- the problem is, I just can't see how they could do it. The big thing with Hush was that just about every major villian int eh Batman universe played a small part- from Catwoman, to Ivy, to Killer Croc. Even Jason Todd got some play (allegedly). Also several hero's were also involved- Oracle, Nightwing, Robin, and Superman. There would be just too much going on. Unless all they used was the Hush character, but even then I don't think it would be as good. As for Knightfall- it's too soon in his career. This is supposed to be Batman in his early years, and I can't see the Bne storyline playing out so soon.
