The one (and only!) Raw thread for 16/6/2008
Anakin Flair replied to TheFranchise's topic in The WWE Folder
It sounds like they finally got a WWE fan with that call. -
Actually, I hated the last Royal Rumble more than any of the previous ones. It was just boring, and evn the cameos by Superfly and Piper didn't really bring up the enjoyment factor for me.

While I loved Tim Roth in this movie, I think the best part about his role is that

Good god, Iron Man is still in the top ten? Awesome. I'm glad Hulks doing as well as it is. The theater I went to on Saturday was only 1/4th filled, and it was an afternoon show.

Fans are already working to save Dollhouse- before it even airs! Listen Here

Saw this today and loved it, especially all the throw-backs to the tv show. I missed it at first, but did anybody esle catch the small Bill Bixby cameo?
-
Wait- they find Earth in the mid-season finale? What the frak?
-
Half way through so far... this has to be the first time I've EVER heard Bill Watts described in what could only be called glowing terms.
-
I just got the Rock dvd. Matches are ok, but it sucks they couldn't get any interviews with him, like Austin's or HHH's.

I refuse to believe that Undertaker would retire off a nothing show like ONS. I would think he'll get that last big send off at Wrestlemania, a'la Flair.
-
Have you seen them wrestle?

It's great how the cops were facing the crowd all night, untill Cryme Time came out.

"It's Headly!" He was brilliant in Blazing Saddles, and what I saw of him onthe Carol Burnett show was awsome. Sad to hear.

I use Window's DVD maker. Sure, it takes a long fucking time, but the results are better than adequate.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

That's the funniest thing I've ever read. -
I didn't like how they put the HOF out of synch. I understand the need to split it onto two disks, but still... Can't wait to pick up Flair's new set, as well as the Rock's. Both look awesome.

A lot of it is. I've rocgnized tracks from Backlash, and from the final battle in season 7 of Buffy, among others.

$30 bucks for ONE TRACK? Fuck that, use Bit Torrent.

I thought Terminator was picked up for another season?
-
I could see Deadshot working. The costume would hae to be dramatically changed, but the character is sound enough.
-
They could really do a lot with Pym's character in the movie, making him the flawed hero that gives the mantel over to Lang when he just can't handle it- or maybe he just goes nuts, and Lang steps in to stop him.

Actually, Riddler would be the most REAL. I think, for this series, that guys like Mr. Freeze or Clayface would be to science-fictiony, and I believe Nolan himself said that he'd never use the Penguin. I can see them using Riddler, Hush (that would be interesting), MAYBE Poison Ivy if they didn't use the whole plant-controlling aspect of her character). I don't think they'd do Bane or the Knightfall storyline, because this is a 'younger' Batman, and it would be too early in his carrer.

Just saw it tonight, and I got to say- that was one of the best superhero origin movie ever. Just aperfect movie all around, and now I can't wait for a sequel- or something bigger? And as a bonus, I got to see trailers for the three other movies I wanted to see this summer- Hulk, Dark Knight, and Indy.

I read in an interview with Howard that, in order to get DOD backing, the Rhodes character had to be a squeaky-clean soldier. He mentioned that, if there was a sequel, they would do it without the DOD so he could get more into the character.

Well- it must happen after the novelization (I've read it, too), if you figure the end of the book is the same as the end of the movie. It may be in the Incredible Hulk novelization, however
