God may make a run-in in the next few weeks. Wow. Never thought they'd sign him- his asking price was always pretty steep.

Cena was trying to get the whole 'Chicago Gangster' vibe going. To badd for him Chi-Town didn't buy it.

What film plots are you sick and tired of?
Anakin Flair replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
I've seen that commercial. The old people aren't listening to the song, it's played as a background song as old white people and suburban families climb out of the 'hip' GM cars, liek the two grandparents climbing out of a Hummer, etc. And I'm tired of anything with 'My Humps' in it. I HATE that fucking song. -
I thought it was a pretty good movie, although that freaking Bug Scene could have stayed lost. Found it odd that there was no commentary on the DVD, but considering all of the production diaries that were released, I guess there was nothing left to say.

Thats a hell of a line(s). Someone should translate. Roughly translated- I'm going to kill all of those mother-fuckers. Roughly translated, of course.

I'm pretty sure they just completely messed that part up. Why would she be worried if she saw a flower at her workplace? They say the flower is extinct in the film. They also show that V leaves them with the people he murders. You still didn't answer my question. Why was the doctor worried when she saw the flower? In the graphic novel, the doctor saw the flower and knew that V was coming to kill her since the man from room 5 at Larkhill used to grow them. In the movie, they didn't even show V growing flowers at Larkhill or even mention that he did. Now again, why would the doctor fear for her life if she didn't even know that V was the man from room 5? I answered this in a post at the top, but here it is again- ...No you didn't. All you did was tell us how she knew in the novelization, which is the same way she knew in the graphic novel. I don't really care if they include that scene in the dvd. The whole point is that they messed it up in the movie and without that scene, there is no way she could have known V was the man from room 5. Ah, my mistake. i mis-read your question. And yeah, they fucked that up a bit. I still don't get why they cut that out...

Anybody know what song they used in the recent commercials for this show?
-
It's not. V should not be sympathised with. What I want to know is why did the coroner freak out by seeing the flower, since it was never mentioned V grew them in the movie. Not sure if it's in the comic, but in the novelization, when Finch is reading the Doctors diary, it explains that V was allowed to grow the flowers because he was such a well-behaved subject. It also explains that V used the fertilizers that he grew the flowers with to make the bombs he used to blow up the facility. They kind of allude to it when they say that the Lesbian couple grew the flowers later on in the movie. Perhaps that will be included in the DVD.

I never played the original (didn't like that type of game at the time), but this one looks like something I'll definately pick up. Though I got to say the commercial has the single most ANNOYING song I've ever heard.

Depends. Did you go to an IMAX showing? ME and my friends went to the local IMAX, and were given a survey that, they said, will decide the future of R-rated movies on the IMAX screen.

It doesn't endores Terrorisim, it endorses Freedom. It's all about freeing a subjugated people from a totalitarian regime. There have been dozens of movies in the past few years with similar themes (The Matric comes to mind. Sin City, on the other hand, does NOT). And I've never seen Battle Royal 2.
-
No, I don't get it. One was about starting a revolution. the other was about Bruce Willis wanting to bang Jessica Alba (and really, who doesn't?) and killing a homicidal Frodo. The two movies have NOTHING in common, aside from the main character killing a bunch of people.
-
Where the HELL did you get that V was a clone of SIN CITY of all movies? I saw this at the IMAX, and loved it. I was a lot more spoiled on the movie than my friends I went with since I had read the book already, thus wasn't as suprised in some places. But overall I thought it was an excellent movie.

Well, I knew Lem would buy it when he said he wouldn't leave. Still, the grenade was an interesting touch. -
If you had the chance to redo any movie
Anakin Flair replied to theintensifier's topic in Television & Film
Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The biggest problem with that movie (besides no chemistry between the leads and horrible dialogue) was that George didn't let Hayden play Anakin with too much emotion, untill one scene where his motehr was killed. I'd let Anakin be more emotional to show how he truly was a non-ideal Jedi. And I'd hire someone to re-write the dialogue. -
