The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
Anakin Flair replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
Rudo- I had season's 1-4 of Angel once, before I had to serll them for money. I did manage to get season 3 and 4 back, and then got season 5. I also have all seven seasons of Buffy, and the completer Firefly set. THAT's a lot of money invested into something I love. -

quick question- Order 66- was it only for killing the Jedi? Or was it also an order to occupy the planets the Clones were on? I ask because it seemed like the clones were killing the Wookies (or just didn't care that they were dead) after the order was given. -
It's been reported that Wheedon doesn't want to direct it, because he can already tell whatever X-Men story he want's in Astonishing, and not worry about a budget. Oh god, not Rat Bastard.

Thank you, KinpPK. It's been driving me nuts...

I know that, Gangsta. I'm just saying that, by watching the movies, it's hard to infer the time passage. It just seems that only days past. In Ep 3, the events actually took a few months in the book, but it only seemed to take a couple of days in the movie. That's my complaint. -

Just saw it again tonight, and I wanted to add this. Most of you won't like it, but I think the movie could actually do with MORE PAdme/Anakin scenes. Yes, MORE. It all comes down to a problem that has been prevailent in all of the movies- the pacing of the story. Everything happens so damned fast in the OT, and in the PT. For instance- Han saying that Cloud City was a long ways away, and yet not only did he seem to make it there uber-fast, so did Luke in his X-Wing. Events in the Star Wars univers just seem to flow to fast, and unfortunately they have to, unless we want a four-hour movie. There was so much side-story in the book that got cut beause of this- Padme ralling support against Palpatine, for one, and Anakin's motivation behind wanting to become a Master, which was unrestricted access to the archives so he could find out how to save Padme. I'm looking forward to the DVD release to see all of the deleted scenes now. -
He's got a Hogan thing going with his goatee.

I change the channel because Trips is on... and when I turn back, I see Crap Masters. You see, this is the reason I stopped really following wrestling.

According to an early draft of the script from Lucas, PAdme gave a sad smile at Leia when she was born, right before Padme dies. This is what Lei remembers. -

I was watching the documentary that comes with the DVD boxed set of Star Wars, and I think the Producer (McCullum?) said something like "the movie was Okay, but when we saw it the first time with the score, we were blown away." The score definatley made those movies. Even today, I sometimes find myself whistling the Imperial MArch, or the Ewoks theme. Off on a different tangent, when I went to the midnight screening I got to talking to the guy next to me about Lucas re-releasing the OT in 3-D. While it is kind of annoying that he keeps releasing differen t versions of the movies, you got to admit that these movies would rock in 3-D. Both battles at the Death Star, the Asteroid chase, the speeder bike chase on Endor... I find myself anticipating the inevitable release. -

Maybe she THOUGHT that Queen Organa was her actual mother, and she died early on in her childhood. I dunno, I'm stretching now... -

I always thought that Leia was talking about Bail Organa's wife, who she thought was her mother all that time. Luke specifically asks her if she remembered her REAL mother. Of course Leia's gonna know she's adopted. Her parents are Hispanic, and she's white. Yeah? And Anakin was immacuatley concieved. Miracles happen, you know. -

You know, Padme dying in this movie is a BIG contradiction to what Leia told Luke on Endor. Leia said that her mother died when she was very young, but she still had memories of her. That's the one thought that kept running through my mind when I saw her death scene. -

You all were talking about Star Wars fans nitpicking the movies earlier, but I got one better for you. Fans that will wathc these movies a million times, read the books, compare and contrast and nitpick and bitch and moan about how terrible the adaptaion was, or how bad the acting was- all while saying that they are the greatest movies ever. I am, of course, talking about Harry Potter fans. Now, I am a Potter fan myself, but I can just sit back and take all of the differences between the books and movies in stride, while people over at the Mugglenet forums had a four page thread blasting how Hermione's dress got changed from BLUE to PINK in the upcomming movie. Makes us Star Wars fans seem almost normal in comparison. -

I thought she should have been above the BOND GIRLS, though. Also, why wasn't Willow on that list? Her character brok all sorts of boundaries on TV. -

speaking of nitpicks-- I just watched ROTJ again tonight, and I noticed something- at the end, when Anakin joins the Force, and they replaced Shaw with Hayden, Hayden is wearing traditional Jedi robes- something he never wore in the movie. He always wore robes with a darker color to them., not the kind like Obi-Wan wore. -

Because Han is supposed to shoot 1st, dammit. Dammit. Actually, and I forget where I read this exactly, Greedo was SUPOSED to shoot first in the first place, but miss when Ben, still in the cantina, uses the Force to mess up his aim. THEN Han blasts him. It was filmed this was, too, but they went for Han shooting first instead. So technically, now it's been fixed to the way it should have been, minus the footage of Ben, whihc was probably lost. -

I read that too, and thought it was intersting. Another point of interest was that Own Lars was supposed to be Obi-wan's brother in an early draft, and still is in the book version they released of the OT recenty. -

If Shaak Ti was suposed to be played by Bai Ling (Ling Bai?), than according to IMDB, all of her scenes were cut when she decided to pose nude for Playboy. -

That was his real face getting fucked up. In the book, he says something like "So, now the mask becomes the man." Implying that his burned face was the mask of Sidious, not the face of his true self. Thanks Another one: Why was Anakin wearing that black outfit throughout the movie (even before turning bad) instead of the traditional Jedi attire? Why does Luke wear all black in ROTJ? It's just his style. There's also a little bit of foreshadowing in it, but if you look closely, it's the same general Jedi outfit, except it's black and leather. -
