We have like two pages dealing with this. It was corny, but fit the scene. -

I'm assuming he eats while he's in that pod thing we see in Empire. He takes his coffee through the breath screen, duh. -

Intersting note: In the novelization, I believe that Vader wanted to unleash his wrath upon the Emperor himself, but he was no longer more powerful than Palpatine since he lost an arm and two legs. So instead of hurting Palpatine, he destroys the room instead. -

That wasn't even the start of it, when he got out and stumbled around I said "Frankenstein walks!" That line was totally not meant for James Earl Jones, especially Un-Vader like, too. 1980s Vader would have been like "Eh, who cares?" I think Vitamin X is going overboard slamming on ANH as hard as he is up there. The movie isn't very good, the characters weren't as developed, at the time it more about a new form of cinema tied together with a decent little "save the princess" plot. Problem is, ANH changed the movies so much that every sequel has the same formula: People talk about how the next movie will be the greatest one ever (I've even heard one person call Ep3 "the movie of our time." The fuck is up with that?) and it turns out to be exactly as bad as the last one, and not as revolutionary. So everyone is disappointed and immediately builds their hopes up for the next one. But thats just it- it wasn't the 80's Vader. It was a newley formed Vader who still loved, in some way, Padme, and had just been told that he had been the cause of the vision that he had been trying to prevent. That being said, the Noooooo! was lame. The staggering around I could get, cause he had two new legs. -

Intersting note- the young Jedi that Bail Organa saw killed taking down the Clone Troopers was Lucas' son Jet, I believe. -

in the novelization, they point out that Mace uses a lightsaber form (Vapa, or Vapid, or something) that draws slightly on the Dark Side, which makes it the most powerful lightsaber form that the Jedi use. -

Yeah, I'm happy about that. Too bad they got two different actresses to play her in the fist two movies in bit parts, though. -

I wasn't aware that there was a script yet. Don't knock it yet. Wait to see how it looks when they start filming. -

That's the thing, thouhg. You don't HAVE to watch the cartoon, or read the books, but if you don't he has even less value than Darth Maul. Just cool looking cannon fodder. Plus, if you watched the cartoon, you would know why he was coughing and wheezing in the movie. If you didn't, than you just think he's sick or something. -

He wasn't. But they explained around his absence, if that makes sense. My big problem withg the movie- Grievous. He was a cool chaacter and all, but they relied to much on people seeing more of him and learning more about him through the Clone Wars cartoon and the novels. If you hadn't seen the cartoons or read the books, he just seemed like such a throw-away character. It would have been better to keep Dookoo around through the end of the movie, rather than kill him off, then kill off Grievous like 30 minutes later. -

The plot is good, I just thought it moved to fast. there was a ton of exposition in the novelization that didn't make it into the movie, which is a shame because some of it would have assured that this was the best movie of the year. Also, a few subplots were cut that I hope make it back in for the DVD. I thought it was a great movie overall, though I thought the whole Kashyyk thing was somewhat useless and could have been cut entirely in favor of fleshing out Anakin's decent somewhat. One thing- was it just my theater, or did the Emperor's voice constantly change pitch and tone after he was deformed? It was bloody annoying. -

I'll post my thougths tomorrow, but at my theater a man cam in full Darth Vader costume, with the absudley expensive FX Lightsaber- and his family. Kind of ruined the bad-ass image of Vader, what with the two kids and wife standing besides him. And they weren't even twins! Also, apparently there was a lightsaber battle that broke out in my friends theater. I of course missed it since I got my tickets about 7 hours before the movie and was in the last theater they opened up. -

I'm under the impression that anyone can use a lightsaber. If you're not Jedi/Sith, then you won't be very skilled in doing so, but it won't prevent you from using one. That is true. Han used Luke's lightsaber in ESB to open up the Taum-Taum. -

Never mind sold out, I've read news storys that say people are all ready lining up for it at some theatres, and have been for about a week already. Hell, I bought my midnight ticket yesterday. You can still get them if you go online. -

I think that theory gets shot to hell when Anakin turns to the Dark Side, though. There will be a lot of death and destruction. -

The main problem with AOTC was that Lucas told Hayden not to show any hint of Vader untill the scene with the Sand People. As a result, the acting was wooden, and the chemistry was almost non--existant. -

Nobody knows for sure, but in the Ep.2 DVD commentary, Lucas indicated that Stormtrooper's predisposition to bump their heads on doors was inherited from Jango Fett. I bought the new book out that has the original trilogy novelized in it, and very early on Luke and Biggs have a conversation where Luke states that he 'Doesn't want to be conscripted into the Empire's Army', thus implying that the Storm Troopers are now regular humans. And since the book had an intro by Lucas, I'd say he approved everything in it and take it as cannon. -

You know, I wondered about this the other day. I mean, at the end of RotJ, we see Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan all nice and happy. Do you *really* think Obi-Wan would be so happy hanging out with the guy who not only killed him, but also a number of Jedi, and helped usher in the reign of the emperor. I dunno. It seems akin to shooting someone, then rushing them to the hospital so you can take credit for saving their life. There is an interview online now, with Christensen and Lucas Unscripted, wher ethey ask each other fan's questions. In it, he doesn't say HOW Anakin learns it, but he does say that the reason he out Hayden in the end of ROTJ was to show that he was entering the force as his original self- Anakin, instead of what he became- Vader. And I think that Obi-wan and Yoda would be happy to have him back. Even though he caused so much death and destruction, even Obi-wan tells Luke thta it was VADER that did that, and that the good man that was Anakin had died. They don't associate Vader's wrath with Anakin in that sense, and to have him 'in the Force' is akin to having him come back from the dead to them. -
Actually, I hear they are going to do that with Order of the Phoenix. As for your other comment, and this is a major spoiler if you haven't read the book: It's Cedric. He's killed by Wormtail right before he brings back Voldemort.

I rented Lego Star Wars, and beat it in about two days. I was going back to get perfects in everything to unock the Bonus Level when I had to return it. Funny thing is- Episodes 1 and 2 in the game are actually BETTER than the movies they were based off of.

Dude- the last bonus mission is Vader vs Obi Wan on the Death Star from 'A New Hope'.
