I was under the impression that in the book, Gollum DID fall into the volcano because he was dancing around. That is corerect. In the book, Gollum gets the ring, and starts dancing around in joy. In his joy, he steps to far and goes over the edge.

One thing I don't get- Gandalf destroy's Sarumans staff. The Witch King destroy's Gandalfs. Yet, at the end, he has a staff again. So, 1.- did the Witch King destroy Gandalfs staff in the books? because I don't remember if he did or not. And 2. If a Wizard can fashion a new staff, what was the point of Gandalf breaking Sarumans?

The first movie I thought of when I saw this thread was Van Helsing. That movie sucked on so many levels... And I thought Azkaban was good, though I can see why a lot of people had problems with it (after reading the book). Personally, I can't wait for this time next year when Goblet of Fire comes out.

Hell, I got the first two EE for $25 each used, and I got ROTK pre-ordered for about $35, so I paid a little more for the same thing (less if I wanted to buy the boxed set in the store). On another note, I got the Directors Cut of Daredevil yesterday, and I got to say it was worth it. It felt like a completely different movie with the stuff they both put back in and took out- more like a Action/Mystery/Drama tyhan a Action/Romance. And Kingpin is actually made out to be a legit badass this time, instead of posturing the entire movie untill he (breifly) fights DD.

There is a reason for that. The new PS2, the slimline ones, DO NOT SUPPORT THE HDD. I think Sony just wants to forget about it, and MAYBE use it on the PS3

Every time I see a comercial for this film I just can't help but comment on how BAD the acting looks. And from such good actors as well. I have no desire to see this movie, though I might watch it if it comes out on cable in teh future.

I only own the Extended editions. I got Two Towers and Fellowship at Slackers for $25 each, and I've intentionally waited untill ROTK was almost out to get them so I could watch the entire trilogy together. as an aside, I found an easter egg on TTT- Andy Sirkis accepting the award for Best Virtual Performance from the 2003 MTV movie awards. Man, I haven't laughed that hard in ages.

I read today on IMDB that Peter Jackson really didn't want to do the whole "Army of the Dead" because he felt it would look too unrealistic, but he did it anyways to appease the fans of the books. Now, I read that while watching TTT today and I have to ask: how is the Army of the Dead any more un-realistic than an army of Ents marching in Isengaurd?

I found the best move to have in a Rumble match is the tossing powerbomb (where you run three steps, then toss the guy from the powerbomb position. I think this is the Vaderbomb?). You just toss the guy right out. Using that move, I won the Rumble on my frist try for the first time.
