Uh...I was talking about Marvel. We agreed there. Agreed. All I said was that I liked the cartoons and didn't like a lot of the shit Marvel did in the 90's. Mmm hmmm. I didn't dismiss comics. I read them all the time and love them. I just didn't like Maximum Carnage and the like. It really sounds like we're agreeing.

Show sounds good, but for fuck's sake I just hate the ROH superfans (aka ROH marks) so much. A few weeks ago if you mentioned Ki returning to them they'd be "we don't need it, Ki sucks, ROH4LIFE" and there were several threads like that on the old board. Now he is back and the dumbasses on their boards are already wacking him off.

Benoit/Malenko vs Raven/Saturn is from Spring Stampede, and yes it kicked 20 kinds of ass.

Comics. Pointless crossover after crossover, horrible continued attempts to change history and/or reboot characters (Chapter One, Heroes Reborn, so forth), the big ass long "epics" that needed to be told in less issues (Maximum Carnage, Onslaught, etc.), the love of killing off supporting characters, so much other dumb shit. I liked the Saturday morning FOX cartoons though. Can't explain why.

They are turning around, for sure, but they are still stuck deep in "quantity over quality" and the 90's shittiness will make it a long time before Marvel is given redemption.

I watched lots of Buffy season 3 today, and I have to say that out of the multitude of kick ass my favorite season has, Earshot has maybe my favorite couple of lines in the Buffyverse. Oz (thinking) : If Buffy can read my thoughts, then she is me, and I cease to exist as Buffy becomes what I am. Oz (aloud) : Hm.

Georgetown, Guyana, 0 off. I'm the man.

Dammit, Foley? Argh. He and the decision to bring him in pisses me off royal.

" Wow. Disney is really becoming one of the worst run companies in the US right now." Almost up there with Marvel. ... Sorry, couldn't resist.

"Kevin Fertig, since dropping the Mordecai gimmick, has been told to change his look. He now has short spiked hair." At times, I cry for how dumb the WWE can get. At other times, I just laugh at how fucking insanely stupid they are. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

No, I'm not saying that anytime a body part is worked it needs to focus into the finish, but it needs to work for the match. In a 27 minute match when nearly 20 are focused around the headlock and that work and then they just dump it all to go into an extended finish, it renders the match pointless. It needs to build. When by the end they have just forgotten it to do several random nearfalls, it doesn't work.

"At one point they traded hard elbow and forearm shots like they were in NOAH." OMFG ****1/4! STIFF! For fuck's sake, the match sucked. As Nik Johnson said in his review (main page), headlock to headlock to headlock to headlock and resting galore, with the headlock/neck stuff not even playing into the finish.

FEEL THE STEEL July 15, 2004 WWE Champion JBL must honor a contractual obligation this Thursday night, as he defends the title against former title-holder Eddie Guerrero. This match, however, will not be held under normal circumstances. Rather, both JBL and Guerrero will be locked in the confines of a 15-foot steel cage. Speaking of titles, what will become of the United States Championship? the last we saw, General Manager Kurt Angle stripped John Cena of the prestigious title. Whose waist will it go around next? Watch SmackDown! as this story develops. In addition, the WWE Tag Team Championship switched hands last week, as the upstart duo of Paul London and Billy Kidman pried the titles away from the Dudleys. After the match, the former champs congratulated London and Kidman. Are we looking at a new-look Bubba Ray and D-Von? Watch SmackDown! to find out. All this and much more this Thursday night (8/7 CT) when UPN presents SmackDown! ------------- London on SD? Cage match with potential? A cruiserweight tag? I'll try it.

I want to mention how awesome Wesley is, even in his early days (Season 3 Buffy/Season 1 Angel). The character is so great, and even though he is mostly played for comedy before turning into bad ass Wes, he is still able to be a good and deep character. Tons of hilarious moments, too, especially in "Bad Girls" when he is talking to Buffy for the first time.

This was sadly the most unintentionally funny thing I have ever seen.

20 for a t-shirt and she gets eliminated but the chick who won't have lesbian sex in public advances? WTF?
-
Edge: I understand you sing opera, but so did Povarotti. You're eliminated.

Why the hell are they playing Simple Plan? Why is HHH judging? Ditto for Jericho? Why am I even watching this tripe? *changes to EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND of all things*

Cage was boring, everything else was too short, but it was basically on the level of Raw, which gets a lot of acclaim around here lately. Not saying it was good, but it was no less watchable than the stuff we watch on Mondays.
-
London/D-Von was very short, too short I feel for any really good stuff to happen. And so the cage match starts.
-
On the cruiser tag: Too short for my tastes, but for guys not allowed to do a lot and having just a short time, this was fine. Hate the ending as I find all 3 Dudley's to be stale as hell.
-
I'm Canadian, so of course I get it 1 hour early. Tiny, tiny spoilers for first segment: really weak opening interview. The Kenzo/Booker stuff was dumb, and on an aside both really need haircuts. Anyways, weak stuff but nothing worse than the stuff from Raw lately.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. No need to end good discussion just to do it.
