Weekend or Wednesday->Sunday? As for me, I'll be seeing the movie Wednesday and maybe a couple times over the weekend. I love Spider-Man.
-
I think Spidey will break 70 million on Wednesday and then steamroll through the weekend. It'll be a monster for sure.
-
One of their matches was in MSG. 8/30/82, I believe. So that would have had to have been in the WWF.
-
Why? It's German for "The Bradshaw, The".

I've made up my mind. I hate all the people running in my area, and I pretty much hate all the parties. I'm voting Conservative. They're the best of the worst, so to say. Ted Menzies = +1 vote

Yeah, they did name the show World Title Classic (which I find really freaking stupid). 5/15 came out on 6/24, and ROH has been pretty decent at getting the videos out relatively quickly lately. I'd expect 6/12 out on, if not 7/17, then definitely the following doubleshot weekend.

It's kind of impossible for me to have seen Joe/Punk, seeing as the tape isn't out yet.

London/Noble is definitely my WWE MOTY. These two accomplished more in 13 minutes (don't have exact time on me, so wildly guessing. I know it was 10+) than anybody else in the WWE has this year, and some guys have had 30+. Noble does a superb job of working over London when he is in control, and London's comebacks are perfectly timed. The ending sequence with the reversals is absolutely beautiful. ***3/4 Only other WWE match from this year that I would call ***+ would be Eddie/Brock from No Way Out at around ***1/2. As for my real MOTY, I'd say Bryan Danielson vs Rocky Romero from Inoki Dojo 4/16 at **** to ****1/4. Other matches that I have really liked and would say are ***1/2-**** would be KENTA and Marafuji vs Misawa and Ogawa, AJ Styles vs CM Punk from ROH 2/14, and AJ Styles vs Matt Sydal from IWA:MS 4/10. I haven't seen anything from New Japan's BOTSJ tournament yet, so I am hoping to catch some gems from there.

First off, to correct myself it was 3/16/96 not 3/17. The match is in AAA and it is fantastic. The mat work mixed in with the high spots, the way each man builds to his moves, it is just great. I believe it is a climax to a long feud between the two, but I haven't seen enough lucha to comment on the feud and how much it built to this match. The actual work here, though, tells a great story and it works perfectly. I highly recommend finding this match.

As momoracci said, 7/29/93 vs Kobashi. 3/16/96 vs Rey Misterio Jr.

Lalime is good. He had a bad playoffs but that doesn't mean he is a bad player. They could have got a lot more than a conditional 4th rounder.

I didn't even know there was a PPV today.

Now that I really think about it (in the other thread, I did a knee jerk reaction and said IWA:MS), there are lots of groups that are right up there. Revolution Pro needs more love in this world. Really, most SoCal feds do, they are quite great. I love the style most of the SoCal feds bring and they have an incredibly talented crop of wrestlers putting on weekly incredible matches. On the other hand, we have the East Coast which, while good, I feel is very overrated. Particularily ROH. ROH is definitely good, but as great as people make it out to be? I don't really think so. CZW is good but is often hard to get in to and many matches just come off as lethargic and not as good as they have the potential to be. I haven't seen much newer JAPW so I can't comment. USA-PRO has about 9000 matches per show, most of which suck. The other group I sort indies into is Miscellaneous: this is IWA:MS, NWA:Wildside, NWA:TNA, Stampede, Border City, NWA:Florida, OVW and just any other random indy. Out of these, I'd consider IWA:MS, NWA:Wildside, OVW, and TNA the only real contenders. TNA isn't really that good, full of short matches with bad endings and inconsistent storylines. Wildside is good from a storyline standpoint, but aside from the usual few (Ray Gordy, Slim J, basically the upper echelon of Wildside) the wrestling isn't that good. OVW is good for southern style and has solid storylines, as well as the occassional classic match (Dinsmore's stuff in 2003, particularily). IWA:MS is just chock full of assorted styles and great storylines. The top contenders (in my mind) : Revolution Pro Ohio Valley Wrestling IWA:MS ROH Pro Wrestling Guerilla My vote? IWA:MS. They have a great roster and have all different kinds of styles. They take the best of the indy scene and churn out classics. Need an example? "A Shot of Southern Comfort" is one of my favorite shows in years. It is the IWA:MS tag title tournament show and has tons of great matches stacked on top of each other. IWA:MS also runs incredibly consistently, making it often hard to choose which tapes to buy. Best indy out there. Second place for me is PWG. They are mixing East/West coasts and doing it exceptionally well. Just look at the card for "Reason for the Season" and you will see what I mean. My only complaint is that many of the matches that look potentially great go too short (AmDrag/Quance, Puma/Quance, for example) but that is a small thing and when coupled with some of the great stuff PWG has done, a minor issue. And in a not-so-distant third, I say ROH. ROH has produced some of the best matches the indy scene has ever produced (AmDrag/London, for example) but on the same hand, done some really bad stuff. Pushing Homicide, for example. ROH often comes across as a bad mix of "puro wannabe" and "sports entertainment", which I feel really hurts it. Still, some very good stuff on occassion.

That's my opinion. Really, really, not funny.

Thundercats. Hands down.

I can't believe he was banned.

Just saw the movie and loved almost all of it. A couple "meh" jokes but otherwise hilarious. My favorite jokes: -Thank you, Chuck Norris -ESPN8, The Ocho -Ugliness and fatness is not your fault, like baldness or necrophilia

It's a good thing they gave her that title run, then.

This Year's Girl and Who Are You lead to Faith going to Angel for Five By Five and the Harsh Light of Day leads to the crossover with In The Dark.

Holy shit. Look at that card. EVERYTHING looks fantastic. Jeezus.

No, it's like throwing footballs at an incredibly skinny girl who chooses not to eat. -
