Championship match for Bad Blood announced

So...they get what they want. Nobody is bitching about the match being a HIAC. Do you have a point? Again, do you have a point? A HIAC match would definitely overshadow a pointless Benoit vs everyone's jobber match. No more heels left? What about Christian? Do Jericho/Tomko and Benoit/Christian if you don't want to do Benoit/Jericho. And again, you don't have a point. You're saying people are bitching about a stupid choice. You're saying "yeah, it's stupid, but it is OK because they have been disorganized and haven't pushed good people!"

    Smackdown Spoilers

Just...so...fucking...stupid...argh. How fucking dumb can you get? I can't even fathom the booking meeting. Person 1: "Listen guys, we have a packed crowd out there who we have let down for the past couple of weeks. Raw is getting better, we need to match them. Now, I have an idea that will draw us money because it worked so well for WCW in 1999. Jacqueline..." Person 2: "Who?" Person 1: "Black female wrestler." Person 2: "Jazz?" Person 1: "No. The one with the huge tits." Person 2: "..." Person 1: "You know, we use her in Houston." Person 2: "Booker T isn't a woman or a cruiserweight." Person 1: "No. You know, she wrestled Disco Inferno in 1996." Person 2: "Who?" Person 1: "You'll figure it out eventually. Now, as for the match, Jacqueline will beat Chavo Guerrero for the cruiserweight title." Person 2: "WHAT?" Person 1: "What?" Person 2: "Why not Paul London?" Person 1: "Who?" Person 2: "You know, great wrestler, natural babyface charisma, cruiserweight." Person 1: "...anyways, Jacqueline will..." Person 2: "What about Jamie Noble? Rey Misterio? Hurricane? Any other cruiserweight?" Person 1: "What about them? Anyways, Jackie over Chavo! Crowd will love it! We'll make MILLIONS!" ARGH.

    WWE New Style

Give's it an old school feel, that PPV main events are seen in their entirety, while TV matches have commercial breaks inserted. I think he is referring more to it being chinlock city than to the commercial breaks.

The 2004 Stanley Cup Playoffs thread

I hear that. Kapanen was just lying there. And good for the Flyers. They were one of my Cup picks from the start. Flyers/TB should be a great series.

    Eugene Training Segment

I enjoyed the segment. I didn't mark the fuck out during it, but it had its moments. I think a smart angle WWE could do would be Conway absolutely killing Dinsmore next week. Dinsmore wants a rematch, but Regal doesn't want to get in trouble from Bischoff so refuses a rematch. La Res. keeps mocking Dinsmore week after week, so Regal finally steps in and tries to fight but gets killed like Dinsmore did. Dinsmore then saves the day and kicks the shit out of La Res. and then we get Dinsmore/Conway in an actual match.

Best of Ultimo Dragon highspots video

Buy it. Dragon has had some of the best matches ever, including some fantastic work in America. Dragon vs Rey at WW3 1996 is one of the best American Juniors matches ever, and his really good match against Dean Malenko for the J*Crown. I will, though, agree that lots of his WCW work was subpar to what he can do. However, Ultimo has had many ****+ classics over in Japan, including a classic against Shinjiro Ohtani in the 1996 J*Crown tourney and a great match against Jushin Liger in the 1995 Super J. His match against Liger on 1/4/97 is also must see, I'd call it ****1/2. Judging him on his 2000+ work is stupid because he has not been very good since then. Sporadic really good matches have appeared, such as some fun stuff in Toryumon and a good match against Chavo Guerrero on Velocity in March. His stuff from the 90's, when he was at his peak, is some of the finest wrestling ever.

    Simpsons cast strikes a deal

I watched some of the new episode today. They even copy themselves (the "Peninsula not island" joke). It's terrible.
  14. Thanks Rico. I love the IC title match, one of my favorites from a really stacked year.
  15. He was doing them in 1999. Not sure about any after that, but I know for sure he did it in 1999 against Booker T.
  16. Envy fucking bombed, and it deserved to as it looks like shit. Anyone know what Walking Tall got this week?
  17. For the record, I agree with you that those are three really good reasons to consider it the WCW belt. I just believe it is a brand new title because: 1) Why would Brock just give up half his belt? 2) What claim did Bischoff have to half the title? It was "Undisputed champ can be on both shows", not "Undisputed title belongs to both shows". 3) Booker, Goldberg (pre-beating HHH), Steiner, Nash were not referred to as former World champions, they were (on the rare occassions it was brought up) called former WCW champs

    Best sports movie?

Miracle was just fantastic. Awesome from start to finish.
  19. I'd be interested in seeing Benoit vs Steiner for a short program.

    What? Explain yourself.

Re-Unite HHH and Stephanie ON CAMERA NOW...

    Unfortunately, that's what we'd get.
  22. I wonder how many times he shook Droz's hand.
  23. No, not end of story. Yes, he got a belt for being no.1 contender and not getting a title shot, but I'm arguing that he didn't get the actual WCW title, he got a brand new title. Brock held the Unified title, switched brands, and now Eddie has that Unified title. As we said before(HAH!)...the title existed as the World Title after Team WCW(with half of it being WWF but that's neither here nor there) lost Survivor Series...so when it was unified it was the WWF title vs. the World Title...so he got back the World Title Why would he get back the world title? Brock and Steph wouldn't want to give it up, he had no claim to half the title, it was never explained on TV.
