Now that all the pre-shows are over, figured it was time to revive this thread. Trish vs. Christy-Women's Title I don't really know or care who wins to be honest. I guess it seems like Christy should win, but will Vince take the title off the vastly superior Trish to put it on a non-wrestler? Of course he would, so I go with Chritsy. Akebono vs. Big Show- Sumo Match Well we learned on SD that Ake has the weight advantage, but Show has the height advantage, so obviously.... Rey vs. Eddie Again, I don't know who will win this. I'm going to predict Eddie wins by cheating. Money in the Bank Ladder Match Could go to anyone but Kane at this point. Most seem to think Edge, but I don't. I'd say Shelton but he has the IC title still. I'm going to go with Benoit. Undertaker vs. Randy Orton I thought they were going to give Randy the rub until I saw SD. I think it is pretty obvious after that, Taker is walking out of WM21 13-0. Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle I know everyone here is pretty much demanding that Angle win, but I can't see why. The booking clearly says Shawn should win. When a face and a heel get into a feud that really serves no purpose and is based on them taking turns attacking each other, the face should and usually does win. Just look at Lesnar vs. Goldberg last year. And you can't make an older-younger guy argument for it either like you could for Shawn vs. Jericho. Both of these guys are past their prime and in fact we know Shawn will be around come next WM, you can't really the same for Angle. I say Shawn wins. The only way he shouldn't win is if Jannetty interferes to cost him the match and set up a feud between those two. JBL vs. Cena-WWE Title I think Cena is winning this. The feud will likely go on, but I think Cena walks out of Mania with the strap. HHH vs. Batista-World Title Again, it's very simple. HHH has not gotten over on Batista once during this entire feud. Batista has screwed with HHH mentally. Physically he's beaten the crap out of Flair and HHH, even powerbombing him through a table. How has HHH responded to this? He hasn't! He's tried but Batista just keeps getting the better of him. The finishing touch was Raw's ending where Batista yet again beat up HHH, then threw a bunch of cops around as HHH retreated to the back with a look of terror on his face. I can't recall the last time I saw a feud so dominated by one person in it. HHH will win this match. I don't care if Scott Hall has to run down to the ring with a taser, Batista is going down somehow. So, HHH retains the world title yet again.

Bobby and Josh should be the team with Sam as their manager. Sam could bump like Heenan used to.
-
I apologize to the monster if he took any offense from it. I love you cookie monster! And you're right, HHH WON'T lose two WM main events in a row.
-
I have to agree with HTQ on this one. JBL's character just doesn't really work if he isn't champion or at least bitching about being "cheated" out of his championship and fighting to get it back. I don't think JBL is going anywhere no matter what happens at WM.
-
Is it because of the fact that HTQ is so easily amused? Or that he made an ass of himself and then backed off? Or is it because his super awesome debating skills are saved for people of true importance such as chaosrage, a man with cookie monster as his avatar? Maybe seeing that C really is for cookie inspired HTQ to his inspiring commentary on HHH not winning this year but winning EVERY WM main event to come.
-
Well that is a good point. But since I think HHH is retaining, I have to see Cena winning. As for the turn thing, there has been talk for months of turning Eddie. If ANYONE can have a good title match with Cena it's Eddie. JBL hasn't had a good title match since him. If he can do it for Bradshaw, I have to believe he can do it for Cena.
-
He attacked me first, I was just responding to his unprovoked attack. I meant everything I said. I honestly believe that HHH is going to win on Sunday and I was just expressing that. If he disagrees, he should find a better way to express that.
-
Wow, add another to the list. I know what he said.
-
blah blah blah Don't be try and be a smartass. You're only halfway there, and you've got the wrong end of the act down as it is. Better to be an ass than a dumbass I suppose. And believe me, I can tell YOU have both halves down from your post....
-
Are people so blinded by Batista's suits that they can't see that Batista is going down at Mania and that HHH is adding to his "Push Killer" list. -Batista, 4-3-05
-
What makes you think JBL is retaining his title? I think Cena is definately winning at WM. And I always just assumed up until a month or so ago that Batista was winning as well. But since he powerbombed HHH through that table, HHH has not done a damn thing to Batista and has only been made to look like a fool by him. HHH wins matches where he has dominated the entire build-up through out, do you really think he'll let himself be jobbed out after not winning a single confrontation during a feud? By all means Batista should probably win, but then again so should have Booker, but he won't, just like Booker. HHH put over Benoit last year, he is going to find a way to convince Vince that Batista just wouldn't be good for the company if he holds the title.
-
Welcome to the winning team Some Guy.
-
There are more people for HHH to face than there are for Batista to face so THAT argument makes no sense what-so-ever. First there is the obvious rematch with Batista, and if that isn't where they want to go, four out of the six guys in the money in the bank match are faces, so any of them are viable opponents. They should really go with Benoit and play off that pick your poison match from 3 weeks ago where Benoit dominated but HHH cheated in the end to win.

I realize they did a dead baby angle already. But it is entirely different to have a miscarriage angle where a heel is clearly to blame then is it to have an already born child(at least that's what I think Rudo was suggesting, though born already or not it doesn't matter) to die and then have another wrestler say it was God's doing and it is okay because the child is with him in heaven now, and for the father to resent him for it and try and kick his ass, for he(Shawn) now embodies God and thus Angle's chance to avenge his son's death by his hands.
-
I'm not boxing them in, they boxed themselves in. Vince would just never do that angle. MAYBE in 98, but certainly not now. As I said, I like the idea, I'm just being realistic.
-
Rudo, I like your build for Angle-Shawn but that is WAYYYYYYYYY too fucking edgy for the wwe. Given what is in the realm of possibility, I think they have done a good job of building the match, as a who is really the best, even if this match won't actually solve that question, and having Angle go through a mini-version of Shawn's career by taking on Marty and bringing in Sherri. Your idea is better, but just not doable in this company.
-
I'm really looking forward to this WM. As someone else said, almost every match could go either way. Will Batista get the win everyone wants him to or will Trips win(as I have been hammering to death) and piss everyone off more than ever? Will Orton still be the legend killer or will the legend of the Taker continue? Shawn or Angle? Who will take the ladder match for the title shot? Then their is what I am most looking forward to, can Rey and Eddie top their Havoc '97 classic? Yeah, I doubt it too, but what if they surprise us all and do!? And Austin, Piper, and Hogan should provide some fun as well. Really cool line-up for WM21.
-
Okay, the way I see it only two things can come from this match. 1. Trips wins this match and the HHHate reaches an all-time high here. 2. Batista wins this match and every HHHater here has to apologize to H and never, EVER speak ill of him again. If he loses this match with the build that has him looking more like a lame duck than the "cerebral assassin" then he isn't half the demon everyone makes him out to be. But I hate to once again break your hearts, but get your crying towels out ladies, because I think we all know that option 1 is the only one here that can apply, and all you hos will have to dry your eyes when your pimp crashes and burns.
-
I hate Bobby Southworth....
-
I'd give it to Diego, but I have a feeling the judges will give it to Koscheck.
-
I'd say it's a tie right now. Not for me personally, but I think the judges have it tied based on what I've seen from the past fights.
-
Batista is not winning at Mania. They went overkill with him. The fans wanted Batista to get the better of H and he not only did, but has done it for a month. HHH, again, has not gotten over on Batista once during this feud. H is not going to go into and come out of a match with ANYONE looking like their bitch. You Pimp-a-maniacs are just going to have to hope for a rematch at Backlash.
-
Well that's it guys, I called it down to a tee. The pimped out monster goes down this Sunday.

What are your thoughts on Bret/HBK Ironman?
4hartthreat replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Can someone please explain to me how the match would be better if it wasn't an ironman match. I can see and argument for more falls, although I don't agree with it. But saying that the match was fine as a normal match but sucked as an ironman match makes absolutelty no sense to me. You either think a match is good or you don't, saying the exact same match classified as another type match would have made it good is just stupid. -

I love the comparison. The Hog Wild match is another one of my favorites. I refuse to let some stupid fans and/or bikers and inept announce teams ruin great matches.
